as we show you the temperatures, it is 39 in ocala right now. grab a jacket. maybe the winter coat in marion county. temperatures likely to drop close to freezing tomorrow morning in marion county. that's why there is a freeze watch in effect for tomorrow morning there for marion county including ocala. we are at 47 right now in orlando. cool enough for a jacket. a medium weight jacket. right now, 53 in cocoa beach. a little milder. there is a breeze and the breeze will continue through the day, making it feel even cooler. not by much. shave a couple of temperatures and that's what it feels like in many spots. here's the warmup, not a big one. we'll see a lot of sunshine. hardly a cloud in the sky as high pressure continues to dominate and build in. we'll be at 59 degrees at noon with sunny skies. get outdoors at lunchtime. it will look great.

singer, song writer and actor david bowie. >> the 69-year-old passed away last night after a patle with cancer. mark lehman is following these breaking developments for us. bowie just released a new album. >> he released it on friday which was also his birthday. days later, many are shocked by the loss while celebrating the loss of the singer who is described as innovative and inspirational. >> a music icon falls silent. millions around the world stunned with the news that 9-year-old bowie has died. a statement posted on the singer's facebook page reads david bowie died peacefully surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. while many of you will share in the loss, we ask you respect the family's privacy during their

decades. he inspired glam rock in the '70s before reinventing himself several times. he had his first number one 173. he followed that up with dozens of hits still heard on the radio today, including let's dance which topped the charts in nine different countries. bowi's eclectic style. many said he was a trend setter for the duration of his career. bow ie is survived by his wife and his daughter and his son. >> we are following breaking news from overnight in orange

investigating after a pedestrian was hit and killed. it happened near pine hills. that's where we find johnny fernandez. what are troopers saying about the driver and charges. >> troopers tell me the driver may be facing some charges at this point. they are not saying what those charges may be. we know troopers are investigating if alcohol played a role in the crash. the scene behind me is all clear. i want to show you what it looked like when this whole thing went down. troopers say vincent was traveling on pine hills road when he struck a pedestrian who was standing in the middle of the turn lane. troopers say the pedestrian ended up under the car we know mcgori stayed on the scene and cooperated with troopers. still a lot of questions remain

we know troopers say they have not identified the driver we'll stay on top of the story and once we get new information, we'll update you on air and online. online. >> thank you for the update. >> right now, a volusia county man is locked up, charminged with shooting and killing two men outside a daytona beach sports bar new year's eve. 30-year-old anthony daweson was arrested and booked into jail on two counts of first degree murder. investigators say kevin stanley and david morrel died, near the campus. a third man was hurt. police say a tip led them to daweson. investigators say he has a criminal history and is a convicted felon. >> we are learning about a mother arrested for driving drunk. deputies say she did this while she had her four children in the car with her. we just checked and this woman is still in jail. police say she was pulled over

on suspicion of dui. inside investigators found her children. now, according to a police report, tatras had open containers of alcohol in the car. we spoke with to her roommate who say the story could have had a much different ending. >> such a sad story. we have learned that tadras has been convicted of dui in the past. she had her license suspended for driving under the influence just last july. >> in just a matter of hours, jury selection is expected to begin in the trial of a jacksonville man charged in the case of lonzi barton. the case surrounds the disappearance of the 21-month-old lonzi barton. originally evan told investigators someone stole his

investigators say they doubt his story. lonzi has yet to be found. once testimony get under way the toddler's mother is expect to testify as part of a plea deal she accepted last week. >> we could learn if a man intentionally walked onto the tracks. it happened at concord and amelia. detectives say they are looking into the possibility that samuel torres committed suicide. the train came from miami and was heading to new york. none of the 198 people on board were injured. >> yesterday on orange avenue and town center boulevard, troopers say the driver of the car lost control and slammed into a light pole. jayline died at the scene. a passenger also in the car was seriously injured. >> lawmakers heading back to tallahassee ahead of the start of the 2016 legislative session.

>> david bowie has died after an 18 month long battle with cancer. he is best known for songs space odyssey, diamond dogs and let's dance. he appeared in several films including 1986 labyrinth. david bowie was just 69 years old. >> police on high alert following a tip that members of a radical group may be targeting them. police department officials say someone approached an officer last night and said the man that attacked the officer last week is part of a group with radical beliefs. workers are now -- officers are now working with the fbi to determine if that tip is credible. meanwhile officer heartnet continues to recover in the hospital. >> mexican officials are expected to question this man, actor actor sean penn. officials say it was a meeting that led authorities to the fugitive.

here and it goes up here and back down to here. right? not today. temperatures not changing a whole bunch through the afternoon. we are starting off in the 30's, 40's and 50's. we get up to 5 at lunchtime. out and about at noon, maybe running errands, we'll be at 58 by 6:00. no percentages for rain. we'll stay dry and it is going b to be hard to find a cloud with dry air continuing to build in with a wind out of the north and northwest. ha wind will lead to a breezy afternoon. 50 as we head into 10:00. look closely, do you see any clouds? no. we'll be cloud free. there's 5:00, 6:00, staying dry, staying clear with clear skies overnight. the temperatures will drop off even more.
