story. it is the weather and those potentially dangerously cold temperatures. >> we have team coverage on the big chill. mark lehman is live where police are hoping to get results to help people in need. we begin with troy bridges, pinpointing the cold temperatures. troy, some people actually have some frost. >> in marion county, temperatures dropping enough to have frost. temperatures in the mid 30's, likely to go close to if not below freezing as we head into the next couple of hours. that's why there is a freeze warning in effect through 9:00 this morning. you can see the shading, the turquoise blue shading in flagler county and in marion county, the freeze warning will last all the way through 9:00 this morning. we have several hours to deal with it, likely to drop these temperatures as we head into 7:00 this morning, just before sunrise, usually the coldest of the mornings. we are at 42 in orlando. 44 in daytona beach. 36 in ocala. right now, 50 at cape canaveral. 44 in melbourne. factor in the wind and it feels

feels like 38 in orlando right now. have the big coat, you'll need it. there is not much of a warmup as we take you hour by hour with the pinpoint accurate poeshth. we are at 58 at noon with a mix of sun and clouds. by 4:00, 62. a cool day with no rain. we'll talk about when rain does return and when you can expect a warmup. first, let's check on the roads with dori. everyone is cranking up the heat. >> that's right. you need the heat this morning, especially if you are a floridian. taking a look at i-4 at world drive. we have a crash that is right here on those westbound lanes, it is off to the shoulder, not blocking any of the roadways. good looking this this area. average speed at 65 miles an hour. traveling time, i-4 east, state road 46 is 16 minutes. we are in the green zone on our major roadways. a car crash we are dealing with, state road 417 southbound at university boulevard, there is no roadblock with this one.

look. you can see how many people are doing their best to keep -- to deal with the cold weather early this morning. freeze warnings issued for marion counties. in orlando, not as cold but cold enough where you may need to scrape frost off your windshield. many urged to take measures to protect their kids and the elderly vulnerable to the cold. we asked those already up early homer how they are staying warm in all this. >> what i do to keep warm is just layer up and, you don't really need a heavy jacket. just a light one. >> i have a blanket, that's about it. >> it is hard for guys like me. >> that man right there is is exactly why orlando police are holding what they are calling their blankets and coat drive through. starting at 7:00 this morning,

and coats can drive up here. they don't even need to get out of their car. they can be on hair way. those blankets and coats will be kept in the back of officers' patrol cars so they can distribute as needed to people in the community and on days like today and tomorrow. that will be needed because it is very cold out here this orlando. >> when cold weather hits, you can check the temperatures right down where you live with our free pinpoint weather. you can see the watches and warnings for our area. >> overnight, we continue to follow breaking news where deputies are on the hunt for at least three people behind a violent home invasion. it happened around 9:00 at a home on broken pines circle. deputies say several people broke their way in.

in a car. he'll have another live update coming up at the top of the hour. >> a search for a driver who police say hit a 3-year-old boy and took off like it was nothing. the crash happened in winter garden yesterday, now, detectives say they found the car abandoned a few blocks away at the elks lodge but they didn't find the person behind the wheel. the boy who was hit was buying some ice cream with his teenage brother when a silver four door chrysler knocked the toddler to nearby grass. that boy was rushed to the hospital and has since been released. anyone with information on who the driver may be is asked to call winter garden police. >> detectives now say they believe they have found the remains of the 21-month-old little boy. >> the news came on the same day the main suspect in the case was set to go on trial for child neglect. the man is set to be back in

additional charges. update. >> it is the heart breaking outcome no one wanted to see. a memorial is growing near the woods where investigators believe they found lonzi's remains. this is questions about the suspect were left unanswered. perimeter where police confirm they pound the remains of lonzi barton. >> that little boy department need to be discarded like a piece of trash and today we are able to take what we believe to be him from being disposed just like that in the hopes that he can spend his eternity somewhere that is peaceful and not somewhere that is basically a garbage heap.
