new tonight, a criminal foul at a school basketball game. thieves stole 100s of dollars after buying tickets. the crooks said the senior high school in mare island just north of the 520, jennifer ortega is there live. and this is fast. >> reporter: they were in and out in just minutes, deputies tell me they don't think the two guys go to the school. they have not even from the area. >> i think it's horrible. >> parents just upset after deputies say two guys stole nearly $300 from a high school basketball game and took off. >> this is one of the premier schools here in brevard county. definitely an event where people should be able to come and things like this shouldn't han. the two guys bought tickets to the game and sat down. back. they told the clerk they wanted

but deputies say they took the refund and stole the rest of the money out of the cash box. >> not a lot of conversation was occurred or displayed the weapon or anything like that. he just took the money and ran. >> i'd hate to have to start seeing armed police officers at our games but it's getting to that point these days. >> reporter: the clerk was able to give investigators a good description of the car. the crooks took off in. >> the clerk did everything she was supposed to do. she was a good witness and was able to help investigators with a real good description. >> reporter: now investigators are looking into the school's valence footage to identify the guys. if they are caught, they would be facing robbery charges. lisa? all right, general jeb bush -- jennifer ortega reporting live tonight. the death of a 21 month old girl. the deputies charged her brother. the investigations started sunday, the little girl was

she was taken to the hospital where she was declared dead. doctors said the toddler had signs of tray uh ma. and they showed the little girl died of blunt force trauma. he intentionally hit his little ste re -- sister that led to her death. detectives say ethics taylor the third was found h at a nightclub. a delivery man spot ed the body when dropping beer off. hover boards back in the news tonight for the wrong reason, firefighters in brevard county are blaming one for setting a home on fire. they posted these pictures to facebook. you can so eh the hover board is charred. fire oh officials tell us it caught fire while charging at a home in chapman street. they damaged a car pet, a wall,

this just in, now, a hit and run suspect has bonded out of jail. billy gibson hit a three-year-old boy as he was getting ice cream with his older brother in winter garden. he ditched his car a few blocks away. he turned himself in yesterday. a former county judge who lost his cool on the bench will not get a new hearing. >> if you want to fight, let's go out back and [bleep]. state superior court has refuse ed to grant his request. that was the voice of murphy, challenging the public defenders in a brevard county courtroom. the defender said murphy punched heim. the superior court later ruled he was unfit to remain in office. he asked for a new hearing earlier this month to change the reason for his removal. he said it should be for medical reasons instead of disciplinary. in just hours, attorneys should be discussing two local death penalty cases.

sentenced and the other for a man that has yet to go to trial. it comes after the superior court ruled the law unconstitutional. lawyers for okefor will be back in court tomorrow. he was convicted of killing alex. he was sentenced to death in november. the supreme court's decision put says his decision in limbo. they could also affect louis's trial. he's the man that was accused of killing his wife and her two kids. they're seeking the death penalty in the trial. it's supposed to start on monday. they want the trial to start next week. be they filed paperwork to delay it. we'll be in court tomorrow to find out what a judge decides. well did anyone win power ball, still no word yet, but if you're just joining us. here are those winning numbers.

you'll find a link. a bizarre chase and stand off, an 18-wheeler led to a stand off for hours. when he did stop, he wouldn't get out of the truck. ended on a service road. but the driver would not leave the big rig. police try ed to negotiate with them, when that didn't work, they fired tier gas right through the windshield. police don't know why the driver refuse ed to pull over. tonight, a woman's customer service experience is going viral. kelly wrote on facebook that she ordered a winter coat from online retailer zulilly. she immediately new it was not practical with her dogs. she called and asked if she could return it for a refund. a man named patrick told her they would give her the money back when she asked how to send the coat back, he told her to

backan tore 1851. we've had a named storm in january. so here it is, alex, not anything that affects us, maximum winds right now are 60 miles per hour in the storm system. and a path that's similar going up by friday night. should be a goner. interesting though, just not important to our forecast. what will be important to your forecast is what is bubbling in the gulf. tonight, on radar, all across the state of florida, it's calm. it's good. good night coming on. temperatures are okay. they're close to where we are last night, even with our clouds, it's 48 in daytona beach. winds west at three. 55 is the current reading in mel verb. this is the northwest at five miles per hour. other temperatures, 40 already in gainsvill. so in the last county, if your kids are up there in school, they're going into the 30s. i don't think they're going to freeze up. 48 in leesburg. check out the cape. nice and toesty to 55.
