nino is fueling this system. it is now 5:00 a.m. on this friday, january 15. i'm bridgett ellison. >> i'm david hall. >> those include a risk of tornado so we want to get to troy bridges pinpointing the timing of this. the plan today, be safe. >> the real concern will be from 7:00 through 1:00 in the afternoon. it is going to move in and out quickly. the real concern will be the risk of wind and isolated tornadoes. let's get you to it. already seeing rain. most of it is light. the heavy rain is not coming in until later this morning. we'll pinpoint that for you. notice the green, indicating light rain coming down. moderate rain coming down where you see yellow. there's brevard county, melbourne, palm bay. down to mico. all these roads will be wet. back up i-95 to titusville, port st. john's.

orlando a few sprinkles and back on up into new smyrna beach and rain. here's the risk for severe weather today, we'll see lightning. the main threat will be heavy rain, strong wind gusts greater than 50 miles an hour. and a couple of isolated tornadoes. we are at 73 at noon. 76 by 4:00. a 90% coverage of showers and storms for the first half of the day tapering off by 4:00, 5:00 to only 20%. coming up, we'll break down the timing again with the model data, all that in a few minutes. >> thank you, troy. let's take a look at the roads. here's a live look outside i-4 colonial drive. cars on the right side of your screen are heading westbound. traffic is moving smoothly this morning with no major delays to worry about. eastbound lanes are also up to speed. here are the drive times, state road 408 westbound, from 417 to downtown, eight minutes. 408 northbound from boggy creek

to colonial, about 18 minutes. >> right now, a state-wide alert for a missing 11-year-old boy from seminole county. >> we learned overnight he hasn't been seen in two days and that 11-year-old was last seen in the area of oak springs place, west of i-4 near sanford. office. what are investigators saying about this case? >> i just spoke with investigators within the last half-hour. they tell me they are still trying to piece this whole thing together. they say the lever-year-old boy was last seen on wednesday. they say originally they got a call about a missing runaway child. i want to bring your attention to your screen. you can take a look. this is 11-year-old dijon bunding. he was seen wearing green sweat pants and shoes. the 11-year-old has brown eyes and black hay. he is four feet 10 inches tall.

he was last seen in the 1400 block of oak springs lane in sanford. we are coming back live. a spokesperson does tell me the little kid has run away. at this point, they are trying to figure out if that is what happened. they are still trying to piece this whole thing together. they are asking for the public's help. if you have any information about where this little kid could be or if you have seen him, you are urged to contact seminole county sheriff's office or fdle. >> here's one more look at 11-year-old dijan bunding. call 911. >> also breaking overnight, a man is in custody after a standoff in one lake county neighborhood. police say they were called to the grove subdivision off dead river road late last night after a woman said she was talking to her husband on the phone when she heard gun shots. police say at first the man refused to come out of his home

police tell us the han is a cop victimed felon who will be charged. >> also developing, an orange county deputy and two others are injured and troopers say the deputy rear end add car on the way to another call. it happened last night on john young parkway and americana boulevard. mark lehman is live at the health central hospital where two people involved ended up. what do you know about their injuries? . >> david, we checked with the hospital here overnight where the deputy was taken, his injuries are non-life threatening t. two others are expected to be ok as well. all three are now recovering after this crash last night. take a look at video, this is what the scene look like when we arrived on the scene. you can see the front of the cruiser smashed in, investigators say the deputy was responding to a burglary call on americana boulevard when he slammed into the back of the car. the force of the impact sent that vehicle into a third car. that driver tells news 6 the deputy was bleeding from his head as paramedics responded.

witness described to us what he saw in the moments leading to the crash. >> did you hear any sirens before the crash? >> there was no noise really? i think the light was on in the back but -- that's the way they have the lights on. >> you can see the patrol car's emergency lights were on when we arrived. it is unclear if the lights and sirens were on at the time of the crash. we are working to get answers from deputies on that. we are trying to get information about the deputy taken from the sheriff's office. this morning, the cause of the crash still remains under investigation. >> a man is dead after a crash involving an s.u.v. and amtrak train. the crash happened last night in jacksonville t. s.u.v. was stopped on the tracks in traffic when a train hit it and dragged it down the tracks. the driver of the s.u.v. died.

no one on the train was hurt. deputies are trying to figure out who shot an appliance delivery man. they say a stray bullet hit him. a car was seen speeding from the area shortly after the man was shot yesterday. weapon there as detectives blocked off the entrance to the apartments while they searched the bushes in the area for clues. people who live in the area say the shooting does not surprise them at all. >> people got shot and now it is up here. i'm wondering what is going on. >> that man can't believe it. if you have any information on the gunman, please call deputies. >> a controversial proposal to increase gas taxes in brevard county is officially dead after not getting enough support from county commissioners. according to our news partners the proposal would have increased brevard gas taxes by 6 cents a gallon to help pay for road repairs. under county rules the measure needed support from four of the five commissioners.

commissioners say they'll now look for other ways to fund those road repairs. >> in brevard county, firefighters working to figure out what caused a car to go up in flames. fire and rescue tweeted this video of the car engulfed in flames on u.s. 1 just north of the beachline. firefighters put it out. the cause is still unknown. >> the biggest jackpot in powerball history has three winners. the big question is still who has those golden tickets. the winning ticket in central florida was sold inside this publix. so far that winner has not come forward. so far the jackpot winners from california and tennessee have also not come forward. when they do, they'll split the jackpot with each person taking

help fight declining sales, chipotle will double the amount of free food it gives away to get customers back in the door. >> in orange county, we are working to learn what may have caused a van to crash into this home. sky 6 caught the dramatic footage along lightning trail. rescue crews jumped into action to pull this driver out safely. the driver was rushed to the hospital. so far, there is no word on their condition. >> new this morning, former teen heart throb is a free man after florida. carter was released from the monroe county jail after posting a $1,500 bail and police arrested carter wednesday night after they say he puvenlged a bouncer at a bar in key west. investigators say carter was upset because a bartender refused to serve him and a friend because they were too drunk. they are charged with misdemeanor battery. >> it has been a tough week for blair walsh. some students are helping to make him feel better. >> yesterday those kids got a special surprise. here's why, walsh went to north

thank you as part of a lesson on empathy the class sent cards to him after he missed what would have been a game-winning field goal. to show how grateful he was, he spent the whole day signing autographs and taking photos with the students. if you didn't see the game, it was tough for walsh. he kicked three field goals but missed the last one that would have won the game. it was like the world came crumbling down. >> those faces helped, i'm sure. >> we are pinpointing storms. we are seeing light rain, enough to lead to wet roads. what we are waiting for. some arrows, pinpointing where these big storms are developing now in the gulf of mexico. watch closely the red arrows and that line that is developing out ahead of those arrows. watch this. this is now firming up as a

through those warmer waters in the gulf of mexico. now, that is the line that will eventually be moving in here. moving at about 50 miles an hour. so they are moving very quickly. these storms in that line. once it gets here, we'll have a chance for strong winds up to 50 miles an hour as well as an isolated tornado or two. the good news is there is a brief area of cool water just before that area of rain and storms makes landfall here, if you call it landfall, that could help to weaken the storms just before they move over land. it will be awhile before they move into marion county. 7:00 this morning, we are expecting to see the heavier stuff in marion. you can see the yellow indicating some moderate rain. on the radar. again, this light rain leading to wet roads for meritt island. kennedy space center, bithlo, central and southern brevard county, for melbourne, areas south of there, palm bay and mico, inland into osceola

the attractions, pin pointing rain. look at the timeline between 7:00 this morning and 1:00 in the afternoon. it is going to be a short period of time when we have a risk of the strongest storms, rain and wind the biggest concern, wind up to 50 miles an hour. a few isolated tornadoes, look at the temperatures, mid 60's in most spots. 60 in orlando. 61 in ocala. 68 at cocoa beach. here's a look at your pinpoint accurate forecast. >> moit the time here as we take you through the day. we are at 73 at noon with a 90% coverage of showers and storms. by 4:00 in the afternoon, we taper rain chances off to 20%. into the evening hours, only a 10% chance for rain. here's the breakdown with the model data and the clouds and rain forecast, 8:00 this morning, one wave of showers and storms pushing through, moving over into eastern zones and then boom, this is really the push

for some of those stronger storms. at 11:00 where you see deep reds, those are heavy downpours, more than two inches an hour in some spots as well as wind gusts up to 50 miles an hour. a couple of isolated rotating storms. there's noon, a lot of it pushing to the eastern half of our area. we begin to weaken showers out to the west. there's 1:00 in the afternoon, most of it is pushing out. the good news by 2:00, 3:00, still lingering showers. for the drive home. for the bus stop later today, we are looking better than that noon hour and the 11:00 hour. we'll watch that closely. 77 tomorrow. sunday looking good but we'll begin to see rain developing. another round with a 50% coverage through the day. a high of 67. look at the cooldown behind that system. a high of 59 monday. 59 on tuesday. starting in the 30's in orange county on tuesday morning.
