like cocoa beach they ripped apart a familiar sign, this is the beach wave store. see the iconic shark was knocked off the top of the post. our chief meteorologist tom sorrels was pinpointing the storms with me all night. tonight, he is pinpointing the show. >> tom: the day we have been through has been anything but funny. this morning we were rocking tonight radar has cleared up we do not have rain anywhere within range so i have nothing to track. all we have to talk about is the invading cold. we have dropped to 52 orlando 51 leesburg 48 the villages, 45 in ocala, 41 in gainesville and 47 co-site in palm coast. how much colder are we? in the last 24 hours we are now 13 degrees colder than we were last night.

is one of the weather radios people use and rely on for up to date information on what is going on around them. started this morning anyone in the orlando morning turning the son all you heard was static. using a national weather service emergency radio on sunday this is what you hear, the orlando channel, off air. this. the national weather service said the problem is due to two in at&t phone line being down. the outage coming at a time news 6 chief meteorologist tom sorrels said many rely on the device. >> tom: early this morning we had severe thunderstorms possible tornadoes that is the time when you need it. and it failed at what have could have been the worst possible time. >> reporter: this is not the first time there has been an outage. almost 9 years ago the channel went off air.

than $3 million. all indications were the same tornadoes could have spun up in central florida, chief meteorologist tom sorrels is back again. you are calling this on the fly this morning but how bad did it get? >> tom: we had wind speed of 60 miles per hour we never had a tornado in central florida but we did get warnings. cold front pushed through all the way down to miami. the basic weather story broke out like this we had warnings the tornado watch but only two severe thunderstorm warnings. the tornadoes were at siesta key and rainfall, we got a bunch and set daily records today in melbourne and daytona beach. in orlando we did not. daytime temperature day was 71 the low so far is 52. look at that versus the normal in the records and we are not too far behind the normals

huge fire that destroyed a citrus plant in leesburg. intense flames ripped through the citrus sales building and took dozens of firefighters a few hours to get the flames under control. the business sells fuel so firefighters had to work quickly to stop the fast moving flames from causing a possible explosion. orange county deputies arrested a man who they say involved in the delivery man shooting last week and tonight, prosecutors are fighting to keep him in jail saying he is a danger to society. >> mr. brown certainly appears to be an ongoing threat and danger to the community as a whole. >> anchor: that is an orange county court friday he is accused of firing a gun in a straight bullet hitting a man delivering appliances that happened thursday afternoon. today in court, rounding his public defender wanted to get him out of jail but the judge will to keep them there.

to see if he will end up getting bond. we are digging for more details about an officer involved shooting in orlando where teenage driver newly struck an officer. police say this is the teen trayvon lemans and he is in jail. he and 2 others were driving a stolen car when officers tried to approach them that is when they say he tried to drive over one of them so an officer fired his gun at the driver and later caught up with lemans and arrested him. in the car are on the run tonight. in sumter county a body found in the woods friday found friday. investigators have identified the man they found as robert banks. detectives are working to find out where he was before he ended up in the woods. if you know any information call the crime line. after days of delay several americans prisoners in iran were allowed to leave the
