at the same time. 7 colder in ocala and nine in gainsvill. in brevard county, already in cocoa beach than we were last night at this time. along the coast, we do okay, but across the interior, 38 in leesburg. and going to a low tonight of 29. i'll be right back to pinpoint the warm up for tomorrow. and then we'll go looking for rain. thank you. also developing, new details about one of the worse degree dog attacks we have seen in some time. a pack of dogs attacked five people and the police shot and killed the dogs. we broke the story as it was unfolding. that's just off airport boulevard east of 417. shaun chaiyabhat is live at orlando regional medical center where one woman was rushed to surgery after this attack. shaun, what do you know? >> reporter: police say she was rushed here because of her

she was in surgery after that vicious mauling by at least five dogs. >> it took two adults to hockey off the five dogs. it began with a frantic call to 911. sanford police rushed in to find five possible pit bulls attacking a woman after mauling four other people including two children. police shot and killed five of the animals. but this dog was not involved in the attack at the time. the woman under the pile of dogs suffered life threatening injuries. >> i feel so bad for her. i hope she's okay and i hope she can pull through. i really do. i don't wish that upon anybody. she never saw any animals in the apartment above hearse. police say the victim was familiar with the animals before they attacked. but have not yet determined if the dogs lived nmr.

fire ball off the sakai. dramatic video of a gunmen opening fire at a local gas station. >> you can see it. this is outside the station on north pine hills road. watch the bottom of your screen, you'll see a hand pull the trigger and people start running for cover. we're told one person was shot. there's the hand right there. but they will be okay. no word on what led up to this or who deputies are looking for. new tonight now, the first look at the mannen wanted for hitting a 73-year-old woman in the head. daytona police say this is the guy right here. the woman said she was walking the dog near south atlantic avenue last week. the man ran up to her and hit her in the head with something and ran off. he didn't take anything and the woman said the guy was a total stranger. so if you recognize this sketch, call daytona beach shores police. new insight on a hit and run

the driver then got out, tried to open the other car door and ran off. this happened sunday night at the intersection of john way park way. jennifer ortega is there live. you talked to people that saw this all happen. >> reporter: yeah we talked to people that were standing on the sidewalk. >> a car screech and boom, i got up and came over here. >> reporter: he said he was standing by a near by strip mall when he heard the two cars collide. >> everybody was worried about the guy in the truck. they had to cut him out. >> reporter: they show this video show ing a black ford explorer run ing a red light sunday night. the weather so bad, rain drops covered the camera. >> it was crazy because it was hard rain. really hard rain.

it was pretty (indiscernible). >> reporter: police say what happened next in the video is odd. they say the driver of the explorer, wearing what looks like a white t-shirt gets out of his car and starts trying to open the truck's driver side door. you can see him pulling on it. >> i think the explorer door open and it looked like, i thought that was -- dude out trying to check on the truck. but it wasn't. >> reporter: the guy then runs to the other side and tries a passenger door with no luck. eventually, the driver of the suv just runs off. >> that's not right. if you hit it, you should be responsible for it. >> there's always accidents here. somebody got killed here. >> reporter: police say they did find alcohol in the explorer. now the people in the truck were hurt. but we're told they're doing okay. there's also another man seen in that video. and police would like to talk to him. if you have any information on this case or the where abouts of those two men, call police. lisa? all right. tonight.

>> she signed what is call ed a reverse mortgage. that was supposed to let her and her husband stay in her house until they both passed a i away. but something went wrong. this wasn't how it was supposed to end. pat scott taking down the street numbers to the place she called home for the last 42 years. >> reporter: what happened to the reverse mortgage. >> i have not the slightest idea. i guess it didn't count anymore. >> reporter: you've seen the adds. the homeowners can use the equity as cash in their home. >> so you're tapping into that equity and wiping out the mortgage payments. >>yes. >> reporter: nancy heck said the reverse mortgage if the equity is there.

the freezing mark. but by evidence of the thermometer there, some folks are below freezing just to the north. all in sumter county. flagler county, again, your freeze warning goes until 8 o'clock tomorrow morning. radar tonight is clear as it can be. it's going to be days before i'm tracking rain again. by friday, that will change. but not until then. come to the set and look. this is how we turned out today with daytime highs. 50 nix in leesburg and 9/11 ocala, we made it back to 55. that's nowhere near our normal high of 71. so a jumping off point of 55 or 56 , drop that to 20 , you've got where we're going tonight. it is 34 right now in ocala. gainsvill 32. still in the 40s in most spots below there. the villages 41-42 in kissimmee and sanford. 48 out at the cape.

it's cool, it's cold, but not going to freeze up. the wind speed is part of the equation. it's calm all in this zone. so there's no wind to stir it up and keep the hate blowing to the top. the heat is lifted. you're dropping quickly in the northwest corner. a ten miles per hour wind in orlando. so in one hand, keeps the total heat from escaping, but it cools your body quickly. so the real feel is 36 in orlando. do not go walk the dog without a coat. 34 in ocala. the wind is calm. hmm, weather story, okay. freeze warning for tonight. to the north. then we've got the cold start tomorrow morning, but we get a little warmer. at the same time high tomorrow starts to creep back up to about 65. then as we go into friday, we're pinpointing rain. a return to scattered showers. for now, the ridge of high pressure is totally dom gnat. cloud covers all around lake okeechobee are pointing south. it stays that way through the day tomorrow. we don't have a lot of cloud

tonight two people in south florida are battling a virus

the victims live in miami-dade county. they were infected visiting south america last month. the centers for disease control thinks there's a link between it and a rash of birth defects in brazil. because of that, the cdc has issue ed a warning to avoid traveling to central america. and south america. it shows a man being thrown out of a cars a re as it is flipping over. >> this guy survived and when you see this, i think you'll be amazed that he did. here's the video shot from the dash. another car in brazil. watch from the left as the truck come intoes frame, starts flipping end over end and then watch outside that window, a passenger right there, gets flu out, some 60, maybe 65-feet in the air. the passenger survived.
