this front will be moving in our direction tomorrow morning. the timeline is 10:00 in the morning through 3:00 in the afternoon, even 4:00 with lingering showers in brevard county. a few thunderstorms from that. ahead of it, high pressure dominating off our coast. it is sending in winds from the south and southeast today. that's why it will be warmer into the afternoon. cold this morning, 42 at new smyrna beach. grab the jacket. you won't need it long. at lunch time, up to 70. 74 at 4:00 with a good bit of sunshine, a few additional clouds rolling in. let's check on the roads and head over to amy in the napeleton traffic center. >> thank you very much. i wanted to show you this nice overview. not a lot going on. not a lot to slow you down. a nice way to start your day. all of the travel speeds nicely, moving along any of the major roadways, you can see not a lot of slowdowns. really nice average speeds. nothing but helping you get out

as far as drive times go, hitting i-4, you are right on time in the green. that's your check on traffic for now. back over to you. >> gun fire erupts this morning. one man is dead and another woman is hurt. it happened last night at kensington oak apartments south of lake monroe. mark lehman is live this morning. what are police telling you so far? >> reporter: police are releasing little bitted information. they are not saying where on the property the shooting happened. you can see the crime scene van is just getting ready to leave the scene. they just took down the caution tape. detectives were focusing much of their investigation on this building you see here off melonville avenue. look at the video we had overnight when we spotted a line of officers making their way to an apartment with guns drawn and one carrying some sort of bullet proof shield.

around 10:30 for a report of gun shots fired in the area. they also found a woman in her late 20's, she had a bullet wound to her hand. that's the only thing investigators are saying about what happened. we know a large scale search was mounted in the area. it appears police are looking for one gunman. as we come live tot apartments, so far, no information has been released about possible suspects. also detectives aren't telling us much about the victims and what their relationship is. we are working to get answers to those questions this morning as the investigation continues. we'll keep you updated what we learn on news 6 in a live report coming up at 5:30. >> developing right now, a former orange county teacher is locked up without bond. he is accused of inappropriately touching a student.

very concerning for parents. what are parents saying about these allegations? >> david, we have known that teacher is accused of touching one of his third grade students at apopka elementary school. now we are hearing the school district talking about an internal investigation into donald sharp and police are looking for more victims. >> this is a first look at donald sharp appearing before a judge after he is accused of students. the girl talked about the apews during counseling for ptsd. the allegation is mr. sharp took her out into the hallway and placed his hands inside her pants and molested her. >> when the victim came forward last may, six years has passed. >> when someone is with you in a position of trust and violates

to get the courage to come forward. >> in 2009 sharp was investigated when several students came forward saying he had them sit on his lap during class. that investigation was only internal. apopka police and dcf tell us they were never notified. >> no one had reported anything to us about the allegations. >> the school closed its case and sharp resigned that year, writing a letter regretting what happened and taking full responsibility. now police say he won't talk. >> he didn't want to speak with investigators at all. that's kind of where we are at. >> shortstop not saying a lot. police say heing denying the allegations. he is sitting in jail without bond. >> take a look at the scene behind me. we are getting a look at the crash at the university of florida. officers say the driver was

campus and campus police have released the video showing the aftermath. >> do you know where you are at? you are at the hospital. ok. police say william lopez crashed into the back of the building last monday. lopez said he was taking a woman to the hospital because she was having chest pains. shortly after the crash the woman jumped out. detectives say lopez later admitted he used heroin and was drinking earlier in the night. investigators tell us they found heroin and also a gun. this morning, lopez is still in jail facing several charges. he and the woman who was not arrested have no affiliation with ucf. >> fresh off an endorsement from sarah palin, trump is enjoying a big lead.

point lead over his next closest competitor ted cruz. marco rubio came in third. on the other side of the aisle, former secretary of state hillary clinton holds a commanding lead over ber nebraska sanders in the sunshine state. if the election were held today, the poll shows that trump would edge out clinton 47 to 44 percent in florida. florida primaries will be held march 14. >> a man ends up in angel facing charges after he said he tried to save his dogs from his burning home. he says he was only thinking about his dogs when he grabbed an ax and smashed a window if his duplex. detectives say they had no choice after he ignored commands to stay out of his home. >> i think at the most he should

felt he needed to cuff me and put me in the squad car until things settled. >> deputies say they took him to the hospital and then to jail where he was charged with disorderly conduct and for resisting arrest. they were able to save his three pets. he is staying with family in palm bay. >> a witness recorded two guys running from a crash scene. police tell us the suspect crashed a stolen car and several other stolen cars. news 6 forwarded this video to police. they tell us this could help them get results. if you know anything about what happened, call police. >> a major detour now just hours away for thousands of drivers in orange county. this is going to last for days. starting tonight, the southbound lanes of 17/92 will be closed between lake avenue and lee road. crews will be repaving the road

lanes will be shut down all the way until monday morning. f dot is saying they'll have signs up to detour drivers around this. another shut down is planned in the same spot later this month to finish up. >> today monster truck fans will get a chance to meet some of the biggest and bright brightest stars. >> drivers will appear at these locations ahead of the monster jam rally in the citrus bowl. about 60,000 screaming fans are expected to come to the show. i might even show up. yesterday sky 6 flew over the citrus bowl where the soccer and football field has been covered with 300 truckloads of dirt. >> a lot of work. >> it is a lot of work. the full conversion of the monster truck track will take about three days to complete. >> could you imagine if i pulled up in one of those trucks. >> need a ladder to get out. >> what do you think about that? >> i love the commercials.
