it will go right through ponce inlet in the next threor four minutes. we will stay with you. it's now known and we have crossed over. always say it extends until 12:30 p.m., chances are we can is often the next five or 10 minutes. rainfall rates are impressive. hell core could be in there at 3 and a half in./h. if you are watching from sense letter, we are past due. come out and relax. this is booking to the north and east. ponce inlet still under the watch area. here is a live shot of what's going on .

everyone is traveling fine . i i don't know what to 53 is. where's that located? >> new smyrna beach. i have a feeling it's just south of the area that's about to get thumped . we are looking southbound. appears to be southbound with the northbound lanes coming up the other way. it southbound i-95 and we are looking the wrong way. here is no seminar. looking south and this is north of there at the inlet right there. it goes right over the top of harbor oaks. we

it will split the difference in it crosses the a 1a zone. >> want you to know that we are seeing strong wind and the possibility of hail. harbor oaks right there for the hill court. indicating that as it starts to post their moving across the s. atlantic avenue soon it's near harbor bullet village boulevard and all of these areas are under the gun. strong winds near 60 miles per hour. the possibility of a tornado again. if you're just tuning in , there is a tornado warning until 12:30 p.m. for this area. it's just off to the west moving at 30 miles per hour to the northeast. again, this is what we would see if it reaches the ground. it crosses now in areas near

top of a 1a and ponce inlet. >> you are correct , troy. you see the way it's moving ? widen this out just a bit. here is ponce inlet along the ocean. there is my notch. if it's a tornado, it is parked itself right here. it's getting ready to rookie . it's rotating this way. this is where the heaviest rotation is. if you're watching , take cover. this is a rough storm moving through there and it could rotate down to the ground at any time. word and they see the storm. we see the tornado coming and it's rain wrapped. not super heavy rain north. it's further to the north and the heavier rain is to the west

if you're watching , you are in a bad scene right now at ponce inlet. we had a live shot there we were able to show you how this guy is ominous looking at how strong the rainfalls are. >> probably a lot of hailstorms. there's a lot of wind there. if you are watching, you are the folks i'm worried about the most. >> we are seeing that moving to the east at 35 miles per hour. moving quickly and moving over areas to the west. it's moving over the riverwood drive. it it's north of t turnbull bay road. you will see it north at ponce park inlet and they are under the gun with stronger wind invitation.

until 12:30 p.m.. we could see it let go earlier as the thing is moving quickly back out to sea. now is the time to take cover! you are under the gun. s. atlantic avenue in the peninsula drive at ponce inlet and harbor village boulevard. areas like bushland boulevard b all of the streets are under this doesn't mean that we've seen it on the ground . it's radar indicated. >> take cover even though we don't have a confirmation. radar indicated tornado warning. in the area around volusia county b we believe ponce inlet and ponce park b it makes the knob here. it's right here outside of ponce park . we have the big scattered showers and itself peninsula

the tornado is coming off the ground and that's where the worst will be. right there in the area with a gate that fakes right here. the entranceway with all the activity right now. get yourself into a bathroom and an interior room and cover your head . hang on for 10 minutes >> that's a good thing. it's moving fast. getting her bathroom and take cover for 15 minutes and it should be past you. watching the rain going north and it's right on top of the zone. i will check with the weather service. >> it's near 5 inches there and it's in harbor oaks where you are seeing the red covers. there is a pulsing purple indicating the possibility of some hail. we keep stressing that this is a tornado warning. it's moving even if there is not a tomato on the ground.

that could lead to damage. we know there is the possibility of strong wind that's greater than 60 miles per hour. could also lead to damage. ponce inlet is under the gun and the heaviest of the rain and the hell core is just to the north of ponce inlet. it's heavy rain and strong wind that leads to damage . the rain the main area of concern across central florida dealing with heavy rain. de dealing with rough weather and strong winds. >> doppler indicated not confirmed on the ground that we could see damage. >> only about 30,000 feet. that's enough today for everything to rock. what's going on here. things have just exploded! it popped up really quickly.

warning but we keep waiting right on the shoreline. here is wilbur by the sea . getting rocked with heavy rain right now! hail, possibly. >> the rain rate is 5 one fourth per hour. that would indicate the hailstorms are they are echoing back. the here hail core is there . we are not showing a lot of lightning. sea. follow the hail cord. follow the lightning strikes to see if it intensifies. the rotation got strong and the issue this morning. i have it on the clock until 12:30 p.m.. i keep thinking that will come on and say it's probably over but not until the last exits. probably 10 minutes away >> is that one area of red and

it's where the biggest wind is in the hell core just to the north. it's a tornado zone and it goes through another 20 minutes. goes 35 mph so it should progress . maybe this will be out to the morning hours. it's barely hanging on. it's right on the highway >> where we see the deepest threat is where the heaviest rain and the chance for haley's. the good news is it's moving quickly. we are not getting the all clear yet. >> take cover very quickly. it's bushman drive and we will continue to see this tornado there. until 1234 volusia county.

just south where we saw the no notch. it's not showing such a defined notch there but possibly a tornado they are in ponce park. it's just on the line where you see the difference in the red and orange. rotation and its likely weakening. it's interior in your home . as you widen up , we do expect the worst of it is in volusia county. it's in claremont all the way down to polk county. it will advance all the way to central florida in the next half an hour or hour or two. it's right on time. it's on top of i for as we saw the computer models this

would be close to i4 by noon. it did verify fairly well. looks like it's to the west. it's not severe but it's producing heavy rain and the possibility of damaging wind as it moves off >> the next band will be coming in . downtown windemere and lake buena vista at 12 44. once this clears b this will be it . >> by good, you mean no more? >> it moves to brevard in volusia. the line is just moving with downtown orlando beginning to look better. >> let's draw the attention to detroit. >> that will be verified here. >> this is what we thought b they will cancel it in they have so now , let me tell you what

along i for now. we headed east towards new summer beach. you can see the rain seems to be picking up and tom and troy just mention the tornado warning that expired . we are 20 miles outside of that but we are still heading towards the direction. it has come about because of the warning. we see the heavy downpour of rain through seminal in volusia county. it's in towards ponce inlet. that made for very dangerous conditions. they are driving through the rain and we are driving along

now we can see anything severe and we counted two b three lightning strikes. the rain is not very strong. we are not seeing anything in the way of wind. when we are driving out here, an hour -and-a-half ago, there is heavy downpour's. it's on the western side and we are happy to report that the push of moisture is looking pretty good. no severe weather to speak up now. it looks like most of the dark clouds that we were looking at 45 minutes ago are now starting to taper off. overall, good news report out here in claremont >> good news to hear. now, we will see how the weather affected the roads with

best time to travel. ke keep your speeds down. you can see the spray come off and if you travel, allow plenty of distance between yourself and the car in front of you. people are staying off the roads and a couple of new things have popped up. here's what's going on now. on williamson boulevard b traveling south bound in holly hill, we have a crash with minimal delays around this so watch out for a shoulder block around i-95 northbound. not a perfect drive. accidents on the minor side for right now. we have no major road closures. that's what's happening now with traffic. send it back over to you. >> the national weather crew says the blizzard hitting the

strongest to hit the region. 77 million people are in its path causing flight delays in and out of orlando international airport. the national weather service says snow could fall as heavy as one b 3 inches an hour. washington d.c. could get more than 2 feet. five states and the district of columbia are already declaring states of emergency and forecasters are warning of brutal winds and dangerous flooding. it's even the possibility of snow. it's falling into the eastern part of the us and arkansas. 6 inches of snow fell overnight and little rock is breaking a snowfall record at more than 20 years ago. this weather is wreaking havoc everywhere. lando international airport is seeing dozens of delays and cancellations. 104,000 passengers are expected to move through oia and so far, there are dirty three cancellations from the northeast. 42 for departures to the area

it's raining south of daytona beach and i put the cursor down there. it's about a quarter of an inch now around daytona beach and i came across the interior across deltona and it's still raining but nowhere near the intensity that we had an hour ago. take a look at what's happening from new smyrna beach down to oak hill. the atmosphere is there and it's pretty well worked over. we watch the showers come in and we followed lightning strikes for the intensity. you see when there and you are watching from sanford out of lake county and you are watching for lake showers again. i will watch them and see if the atmosphere will do its mojo and slow it down or weaken it. for now, the heavy rain is there with embedded strikes along 441.

and mount plymouth. downtown orlando is getting rain. the heaviest is pine hill and i've not heard from charlie yet and it's between pine hill and downtown less than an inch per hour. further to the south is where we are watching. as it does, it will be my area of concern for the afternoon hours. >> we have a severe thunderstorm watch and it's in effect until tomorrow afternoon. closely and there is a risk for lingering stories. that's the good news. if you wrap around the showers in the afternoon and even for tonight b there is a chance of rain at only 10% tonight. 70 in orlando and in ocala b here is a look at the pinpoint forecast >> as we take you hour-by-houreye 69 , we taper
