>> a frost advisory and freeze warnings for parts of the area as temperatures dip into the 20's and 30's. your pinpoint accurate forecast is seconds away. >> information surrounding a deadly shooting as a man is locked up and charged after a woman is killed at a bar. >> good morning, central florida. thank you for joining us early on this monday. i'm bridgett ellison. >> i'm david hall. it is a cold start to the day as temperatures are right now in the 30's. >> this is all coming after a frigid weekend by our standards anyway. let's get to candace in for troy today. the good news, we'll warm up some. >> it is not going to be as cold as we have been seeing over the weekend. our highs saturday and sunday barely got into the 50's. 55 was yesterday's high in orlando. today in the mid 60's. it will be feeling much nicer than what it was over the weekend.

the winds are calm, 40 in melbourne with the winds moving in from the west-northwest at 5 miles an hour. in ocala, 28 degrees. seeing below freezing temperatures. we are at 36 in kissimmee. 35 in new smyrna beach. the warm spot, the place to be will be up and down brevard county, 46 to 40 degrees. cape canaveral to melbourne beach. we have freeze warnings and frost advisories in place until 8:00, 9:00, pretty much encompassing most of the viewing area. looking here at the radar, the good news is we won't have to dodge any rain drops for this morning, throughout the day or even into your tuesday. that pattern will shift into wednesday and thursday. don't put away the rain gear yet. you'll still need it later this week. as we take you here hour by hour so you can plan out your day looking nice and dry, rain chances minimal for today.

inside the ocean breeze bar saturday night. mark, are deputies saying what may have led to the shooting? >> bridgett, at this point, deputies are saying it was some sort of a fight that led to the shooting. witnesses then pointed in the direction of the suspect suspect. a few hours ago the suspect was brought here and booked into jail. >> witnesses were overcome with emotion after a woman was gunned down. deputies say they tracked down the man responsible. this is 30-year-old james prichard. he is charged with second degree murder. he was part of a large fight that broke out at the cool breeze bar. seconds later gun shots were fired. a deputy was on patrol and heard the gun shots. when the deputy arrived, he found oceana on the ground. as a memorial grew at the scene, detectives narrowed their search to prichard who is now waking up in jail.

arrested for domestic violence a few years back. those charges were eventually dropped. now facing a second degree murder charge, prichard will appear before a judge. we'll be in the courtroom and let you know what happens. >> millions of people along the east coast are digging out after this weekend's weekend storm, one to three feet of snow fell in new york, virginia, maryland and washington, d.c. just to name a few places. you can see some of the neighborhoods there. at least 30 deaths have been reported across the region in the nation's capital. all federal offices will remain close as crews trying to clean up from all that snow. the house was postpoebed because of the severe snowstorm. the weekend blizzard could take an economic toll as well. it is estimated that the storm cost restaurants theatres and businesses more than $850 million. the blizzard also forced airlines to cancel 1200 flights.

flights at oia. mainly those to baltimore, d.c. and new york. airline reps are warning when things -- please call ahead of time to headache sure the flight is still a go. >> in volusia county, the state fire marshal is working to figure out what caused a building in the process of being turned into a mosque to catch fire over the weekend. it is located on derby shire road. it used to be home from ymca. but the islamic center bought it with plans to turn into the a place of worship. the fire was contained to just one room near the building's gym. no one was inside at the time. investigators trying to figure out if the fire was set intentionally or possibly set by someone trying to stay warm in there. >> in brevard county, new information about a couple hit and killed by another car in cocoa. this is after troopers say they

detectives say after the crash sunday morning, the car skidded across the road and rolled into a fire hydrant and traffic control light box. troopers say the driver was speeding with his passenger michelle jenkins. miller was thrown out of the car and into a concrete wall. at this point the it is not known if alcohol was a factor in the crash. >> the search continues for an escaped inmate which officials say could be on the run with his girlfriend. police say gary bullock failed to return to a community center friday. investigators say he removed his gps monitor and was last seen at his job in daytona beach. officials believe he could be with his girlfriend natasha quigley pictured her and her 3-year-old. police say they could be armed. if you see them, you are asked to call police immediately.

this weekend jennifer kesse's family gathered to mark 10 years since she vanished without a trace. she left for work in 2006 but never made it. police in orlando say the strongest piece of evidence is this swangs image of a person of interest as well as jennifer's car which they say is the current focus. they hope re-examining and resubmitting evidence from the car and improvements in crime lab technology will result in new leads. >> we know who is heading to super bowl 50. the big game will be right here on news 6. yesterday the denver broncos and panthers won their division championship earning their tickets to the game. the panthers beat arizona by a final score of 49-15 in the title game. the broncos edge past the patriots with a final score of 18-20. some great games yesterday and now the big one is coming up. super bowl 50 is heading to california and santa clara and

pulled off an elaborate escape breaking out of a max million prison. the men reportedly cut through the steel bars and rapelld four stories. kirsten one of these men who escaped is accused of murder. what is the latest? >> the other two face charges of teamed murder and torture, all three considered armed and dangerous. in order to find these guys, authorities are asking for help from the public. >> it appears to be a sophisticated operation. >> three violent criminals on the run after an elaborate escape from a maximum security jail. they may have spent months mrapg to escape from the jail in southern california. >> it seems the inmates cut through half inch steel bars, cut through the tunnels and

from the roof the inmates rap pelled down to the ground. >> the men could have used bed sheets or other clothing to tie together a makeshift rope. they are looking into a disturbance in the jail before the nightly head count which may have been a ploy to help the three men escape. the questions about the tools they used to escape, how they got them or if they had any help are unanswered. >> we are still looking into that. >> police say they don't believe the men have left the country. while tips have poured in, so far no confirmed sightings. >> we won't stop until these individuals are back in our kis di. >> this morning, there is a $50,000 reward for any information to help investigators find the men who pulled off that elaborate escape. >> new this morning, seven people recovering from injuries after an american earls flight was forced to make a landing. the flight took off from miami and was headed for milan.

severe weather. keep it right here to news 6. as we look at our current conditions, nice and quiet across town. downright chilly, 38 in orlando. 36 in kissimmee. the warm spot, out in brevard county at 46. we are also dealing with some visibility issues, nothing very extreme here, down to 7 miles in orlando. we are at 8 mile visibility in leesburg. elsewhere, looking clear with nine to 10 mile visibility. here's what is going on in our satellite and radar composite. not much to talk about when it comes to clouds, not much in the rain department. why because that ridge of high pressure is still keeping a lot of dry air in place. it is all about the wind pattern. because of that, temperatures will start moderating back to normal. we should stay dry and clear at least for the next two days with winds looking nice and calm. let's look at your clouds and rain forecast. can't pinpoint much in the way of rain.
