what are troopers saying about the victims. >> it looks like johnny can't hear us right now. we know two people are dead. one woman is in critical condition after a pickup truck was rear ended and end up on the westbound lanes of i-4. we'll continue to check in with johnny as soon as we can get him back. we'll look at alternates and other things. troopers have been out there since 10:30 last night. both lanes on i-4 shut down after highway patrol says a mustang rear ended a pickup truck. >> officers say two people were ejected from the truck after it went into the westbound lanes. the crash caused a huge mess with debris on the royce causing delays in the westbound lanes. we are told this is a nissan versus a road ranger. we'll try to check in with

we want to check in with amy for more updates. amy? >> this has been going on as you were saying since 10:00 last night. it did for awhile have both directions of i-4 closed down this morning. what you are looking at here are the westbound lanes of i-4 which are moving past the accident. we are being told hopefully within the next half-hour we'll have those reopened. one thing you can do, you can take the road running parallel. not a ton of volume backing up. hopefully we can get this reopened in time. what you'll do to reopen, take the 17/92 which runs parallel, follow any posted detours, it will take you back to i-4 over on the other side of the accident. we'll keep you updated throughout the morning. that's what we have right now.

the details and the timing ahead. >> a series of break-ins leaving families on edge this morning after investigators say a man broke into at least half a dozen garages. the break-ins happened at seminole, east of 419. a family's surveillance video captured a man going through the family car. he bypasses gps and loose change and instead taking garage openers. >> i'll check my cars to make sure the doors are locked. it is probably unlocked right now. it is. >> here's another look at the suspect. if you recognize them, call the sheriff's office. >> another night outside for dozens of people camped out in front of county administration building in daytona beach. >> they are refusing to leave, causing officials to shut down

this is outside the administration center on north beach street. even though a shelter has been set up, assing see in the live pictures, many of those who are homeless have not gone anywhere. mark lehman is live this morning. what is the scene like, what is the mood like? >> well, you can see the building here behind me, many say that this building has become a safe haven for the homeless with numbers growing over the last several weeks. now that issue has reached a boiling point between the city and the county. that issue is leaving many frustrated. >> the salvation army spent monday offering shelter to nearly 50 people but there were few takers. the county and city continue to battle over what to do with the homeless camping outside the administration center. a place that has polk county a safe haven of sorts. >> are they getting out of an unfortunate situation and they

know these are not going to get arrested. >> some say the scene outside isn't for employees. the property appraisal office closing its doors on monday and relocating after police say a homeless man accosted an employee. >> that is the only thing closed. >> the issue of where to relocate the more than 120 here remains. >> the county told the city think of a short term solution. that's why they started working on salvation army. they are working on that. the second one was, sign an agreement that says you'll guarantee safe harbor. >> while the salvation army has only become a temporary fix, the county says the city has until march 3 to build a safe harbor. a building has been decided on near the volusia county jail. but as of now the county says

is up to the city to operate -- to fund the operational costs of the building. we talked to many who say they are frustrated with the situation that has been growing out here. we'll hear from one man coming up at 5:30. >> a man waking up in jail after deputies say he posted a sexually explicit photo of his wife on facebook. 32-year-old steve ward is charged with sooib harassment and cyber stalking. he is facing charges or violating his probation on a separate charge. he is currently being held without bond. >> in orange county, commissioners are set to talk today about the big-time troubles with the county new trash collection system. we have been following this story for weeks, trying to get results for hundreds of homeowners. some having trouble getting the special new cans they need for the county's new -- the need for

commissioners are set to talk about the problems during their meeting this morning. we'll be there again looking to get answers. we'll have updates later today at news 6. >> a family is dealing with an uninvited guest. the bear was caught getting into their trash. they want crews to take action to get the bear out of there. joanna woke up to see this happening outside their bedroom window. he said they were tied to a bar outside. that did not stop the bear at all. now he is calling on city leaders to buy bear proof trash cans for homeowners. >> i don't want to lose my dogs, a dog will attack them and a dog will die. >> seminole county leaders just recently made the expensive bear proof cans available in some areas but homeowners have to pie them.

consider these changes. >> the volusia county school board will cast a final vote on whether students will be required to wear uniforms. students will be required to wear a polo or button down shirt. last month, the school board voted to move forward with the change. supporters of the uniform says it creates a safer environment on campus. today's meeting set for 5:30 at the deland administrative complex. >> yesterday city council members approved the plan to buy the large live oak and the park it stands in which is constitution park. the caruso family owns the park and were thinking of tearing it down. the city will pay a little more than $3 million in cash and hand over some land on east gore street. the tree is between 125 and 175 years old. that's some long history there.

>> let's check in with troy who is tracking warm weather but some changes on the way. >> we are pin pointing showers and storms as early as the morning hours for the drive to work, 4:00, 5:00 in the morning and ongoing through 6:00, 7:00, 8:00 tomorrow. you can see where most of it is, south of orlando. even orlando seeing a chance for some of those stronger wind gusts. the real threat for severe weather is south of us into south florida as we pinpoint the front. look at how we are covered up by 3:00 in the afternoon with lot of rain. 0% coverage and embedded a few strong storms with strong winds. rain chances only at 10%. it will be cloudy. we start off at 53 by 7:00 this morning. we'll need a jacket to start, not so much this afternoon. look at big warmup. even though it will be cloudy. we'll get to 73 by 3:00 with a 10% chance for rain. coming up, we'll talk about rain chances increasing. we'll time the risk for severe weather. all that in a few minutes.

amy in the napeleton traffic center with a traffic alert this morning. amy? >> yes, i have some really good news. this is our live camera, it was right over that fatal accident which had both sides of i-4 closed through the overnight. we had the eastbound haens still closed. those have reopened just a moment ago. you can see here this will start to ease out. lanes have reopened following the overnight crash. certainly that is excellent news as you get to start rolling on your morning drive. that is your check on traffic for now. >> thanks for the update. orlando's new soccer stadium is now at the center of a new lawsuit. >> we'll explain why some say the city is breaking the law by selling the land meant for that stadium. we have dramatic body cam footage. why an officer was forced to shoot at a teenager during the traffic stop. >> a final pitch to iowa voters from democratic presidential

>> welcome back. we continue to follow breaking news out of volusia county. in the last 10 minutes all lanes of i-4 reopened after a deadly crash. two people killed and a third person was critically injured after this crash near the dirkson drive accident. part of the highway was closed for six hours. as you can see all lanes are back open. >> with just days to go before the iowa caucuses, the democratic presidential contenders made one last pitch to voters last night. with hillary clinton and bernie sanders neck and neck in the polls the two used the opportunity to try to highlight their differences. >> we have to do everything we cannot to let the republicans rip away the progress and turn is backwards. that would be such a loss for our country. we need to build on it and go further. that's what i'm trying to do in my campaign. >> we cannot continue to have a

billionaire class and a congress that continues to work for the interest of the people on top while ignoring working families. >> now according to latest poll clinton has a six point lead over sanders in iowa. the caucus is set for february 1. >> we are getting an upclose look at the moment when a police officer shot at a teen. this is after police say the teen refused to stop. >> that is very intense. the shooting happened more than a week ago on north lane where investigators say they tried to pull over three teens in a stolen white dodge charger. body cam video shows him shooting at the 17-year-old driver after officers say he fused to stop right there. he is charged with aggravated assault on an officer. the two other suspects in the

the officer was not hurt and is now on leave until workers can finish their investigation. >> we now know the names of the victims in a vicious dog attack in a sanford complex. one of them is still in the hospital. police say a group of pit bulls attacked virginia farley, richard farley and a third victim. it happened at the apartments last tuesday. virginia was badly hurt. at last check, she is still in critical condition. all but one of those dogs was killed by police. the complex does ban certain breeds and only allowed two pets per apartment. it is unknown how long the dogs have been there. >> the city of orlando could soon find itself in a legal battle meant for the orlando soccer stadium. some people and businesses are trying to stop the city from stopping the sale of the land. they say the sale is illegal. the suit claims some leaders used imminent domain to get the land. they needed to follow certain steps before selling it t.

the property less than 10 years. they didn't allow the original owners to repurchase the land. they didn't open up bidding for the land. the city commission approved this deal yesterday but the final decision is up to a judge. for their part, reps with buddy dyer's office say they don't believe they have done anything wrong. >> this week's historic storm left many people bottled up indoors. >> that meant cable boxes were working overhead from binge watchers. at one point 1.3 cable users used infinity to watch cable at the same time. that is a record. dating app saw an increase from users. if you are snowed in you might as well check out tinder or

here's a look at your pinpoint accurate forecast. >> notice the clouds, a lot of cloud cover in place today, even though we'll have the clouds. we won't have a lot of rain. the afternoon. up to 70 at noon. 73 at 4:00. the average amp high is 72. we are close to that in the afternoon in many spots. a mild night with a 30% coverage of rain from 8:00 through 11:00. heading out and about later this evening. rain chances increasing gradually. temperatures in the low 60's. milder than we saw last night. you see the white indicating cloud cover and the green indicating a few showers through 5:00, 6:00. nothing widespread. but by 10:00, a few showers lingering and kind of picking up. the real push for rain comes through the day tomorrow ahead of the front. southern sections, orlando south
