tonight the clear out and the clean up. major fixes to fix a homeless -- in daytona beach. one person rushed to the hospital. i'm matt austin. this story developing by a minute. a shooting happened near seven tine 92 at airport boulevard. that's just south of 17. general what did they say. >> reporter: one person is in custody. that's a suspect and another person has been rushed to the hop. now a very active scene out here ment they're blocking off the intersection pretty far down and investigating to get those details out. here's what we know.

called around 7 o'clock tonight about a suspicious moon with a boulevard. when they got to the scene, they found a person that match that had description. we're told at some point, shots were fired and police have not confirmed who fired first. they're calling this an officer fired shooting. not a whole lot confirmed. what we have learn second-degree one person was shot and taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound. they're still not saying where that person was hit. but those injuries are not life threatening. they're telling us, this is an ongoing investigation. they say that suspect in custody. again, that one person taken to the hospital, they're saying we'll release that suspect's name by tomorrow morning. all right, jennifer ortega, live for us, thank you. this was the second time today police opened fire. this afternoon, orlando police shot a woman they say helped carjacked a man.

car was towed away. investigators say the woman and two men carjacked an elderly man at curry ford and con way. the car was spotted hours later on south street. witnesses told us, that led to a shoot ut. the woman shot is expected to survive. the two men were arrested. police say three officers over the fire all have 5-10 years on the force. they're now on administrative leave while the investigation continues. deputies say a 15-year-old boy died after he was shot. it happened around 3:30 on central street. a few blocks from the boys and girls club of central florida in alt mont springs. deputies say 15-year-old tae march harris was riding in a car on central street. someone standing in the road started shooting at him. the car hit a light pole. a short time later, harris died at the hospital.

call call, seminal county depty. or the crime line. now to the major move outside the belusha county administration building. for weeks dozens have camped outside that building and tonight, they're somewhere else. daytona beach police chief mic chip made it very clear live on news 6:00 at 6:00. >> if you have somewhere else to you can go. but if you refuse to leave, i have to make an arrest. where are we this evening? shaun chaiyabhat is live this morning. did the chief arrest anyone? >> reporter: there was one arrest tonight. but by and larnl, everybody left without problems. you can see the sidewalk here is now clear. that is in stark contrast of how it was just a few hours ago. police finally made their move after getting the legal okay to do so. and so now each of the homeless who was here has a bed for the

either in a shelter or at a hotel. from camping outside a county building to now the salvation army at capacity. the homeless camp ended at an ultimatum. >> if you refuse to leave, you're going to be arrested. >> reporter: one by one, they gave them a choice. go to a shelter or go to jail. for some it's a turbulent transition. for others it's a protest. that with signs that read housing not handcuffs. >> that is what happened. the spotlight was shined. >> reporter: for weeks, they call this their makeshift home. refusing to leave even after the county shut the office down. the move became urgent when under cover police found crime. >> people shooting up dope.

off to see the show. they did let him off a little bit early. he plans to have that franchise open within the next year. reporting in sanford, sashell saunders news 6. florida homeowner got a big surprise when this hawk right here came smashing through his bedroom window this morning. martin county shaves office. they learned the hawk was not alone. they found this squirrel. the bird apparently brought it in when it crashed through the window. officers were able to get the bird outside and released the squirrel. somehow it's going to be okay. so it got rediscovery channel in these people's berm that picks up a squirrel smashing through the window. >> the squirrel's okay, and the bird's okay too? they already let that thing go.
