troopers say one person died, they are not releasing any other information about the victim or what caused this crash. as soon as we get details, we'll let you know. >> developing in a couple of hours, a county building in daytona beach that has been at the center of controversy for weeks is finally set to reopen. >> the property appraiser closed up shop because of homeless people camping outside. on friday night the chief moved in and told everyone they would have to leave or be arrested. only news 6 was there when some people tried to come back. mark lehman is live at that building. mark, how are things looking out there this morning? >> we noticed an officer patrolling the area when we first arrived. you can see the building behind me. it is now empty a. dramatically different view as this office prepares to reopen for the first time in more than a week. >> a woman walks away with a blanket in hand. she was asked to leave by

the area outside the building is now under close watch as the property appraiser office prepares to reopen its doors. the department closed last week after a growing number of homeless outside made it unsafe for employees. on friday, police told me the group goes to a shelter. it is a situation when undercover officers found crime. >> fights, prostitution. >> more than 80 people were taken to the salvation army over the weekend. but police say part of the problem is not everyone wants help. >> as we come back live, the doors here plan to reopen at 7:30. we'll be here when that happens. as part of a more permanent fix, the county and city are working things out to try to get a more permanent fix in place for a shelter to be set up.

coming up at 5:30. >> mark, thank you. >> it is 5:03. this morning, the family of the 15-year-old from altamonte springs is pleading for help. tamare harris was shot in the middle of a neighborhood. whoever did it is still opt run. it happened on friday along central street, north of 436 near altamonte springs. johnny is live along hiawassee road in orlando where it is believed the teen goes to school. johnny, the family is devastated. >> that's right, bridgett. the family is looking to get answers this morning. they say they believe that someone out there knows what happened. they are pleading for the public to come forward. tamares mother said it began when the teen asked to sit in her car and listen to music. instead he drove off. 15 minutes later, someone stand in the middle of center street

woods near deland east of budget inn. deputies say they encountered rule sleeping on a bench but he refused to leave. >> in osceola county, investigators are asking for help getting results and finding the people responsible for a home invasion and abdougs. deputies say on thursday afternoon, four men forced their way into a home in the east lake reserve subdivision in st. cloud. the men tied up a girl and her mother before abducting the boyfriend. the girl and her mother went for help. the boyfriend was later found tied up in the back seat of a car and was treated for minor injuries. if the you know anything about this story, call the crimeline -- 1-800-423-tips. >> the first votes will be cast later tonight in iowa with polls showing a tight race on both sides, the candidates made closing arguments on sunday. >> if everyone here brings nine

sanford area. this includes someone seeing her with an older man. there hasn't been any posts on her social media pages. anyone who knows where she could be could call police. >> a south florida woman is grabbing attention and headlines after she pulled over a miami-dade police officer for speeding. she caught the whole thing on camera. >> the cop passed me so fast, my car shook side to side. that's when i said, what is the emergency? i got upset. >> she says she was driving 80 miles an hour and could not keep up with this officer. that's when she put her cell phone on before getting his attention near i-459. >> the reason i pulled you over today, i wanted to know, what is the emergency? >> i don't know how fast i was going but i can tell you, i'm on the way to work.

but you are entitled to your opinion. >> that officer went onto say he would slow down. officials say the incident is under investigation. >> this morning, a local boy scott troop is trying to get results and find whoever stole their trailer filled with their camping supplies. it was taken from the all saints lutheran church. in all, it would cost $20,000. but they are getting help. the sheriff set up a go fund me page for the troops. >> they used this equipment to get back to the community. with that i ask that any company like bass pro shops, dander mountain, they step forward and help these guys in donation of equipment. lastly, i'll say this, for whoever the person was who got out of their septic tamping and came and stole this trailer, next time you go on church property, you need to go there to ask for forgiveness and not commit crimes.
