we warm to 77 at noon. 80 degrees at 4:00 this afternoon. well above the average of 72. rain does return later in the week, some thunderstorms. we'll talk about that and the cooldown behind it. let's check on the roads and head back over to amy in the napleton traffic center. as far as your monday morning goes, the roads are dry, we are moving along. westbound side of i-4, from st. john's river to colonial, only 19 minutes. looking very nice. we'll have more details on this one. wanted to show you a live look at the beachline. it is not causing any major delays. that is your check on traffic. traffic.

crash on u.s. 192 near st. cloud. so far troopers haven't released much information, only saying the crash shut down the westbound lanes. we'll keep you updated. >> a change for drivers on the beachline. it is one of the oldest plaza between semoran and conway roads. kirsten is live for us. you found out even though this toll plaza isn't going away, drivers won't be saving money. what is the latest? >> that's right. you won't be saving money if you don't have an e-pass or a sun pass. it is a lot of work under way behind us us. as you mentioned, this is one of the first plazas that was put up

it is the only one left that doesn't have high speed toll lanes. single day. by 2035, the expressway will increase to 1422,000. that's why it is being removed. you won't get a break when it comes to tolls. the authority has added new plazas at trade port and boggy creek. instead of paying at the airport you'll pay when you get on or off at those new ramps. the authority has added new e pass readers. if you get on or off there at the highway, depending on which direction you are going. you'll not have to pay that at the mall.

you'll have to pay the full amount of $2.25 which is a significant increase. these tolls will be less if you have an e-pass or sun pass. the authority is urging anyone who has one to get one. the work on this plaza will take several months. you'll see a lot of this construction going on for the next few months until it is completely gone. >> dozens of workers will return office office. >> the office is is reopening after daytona beach blis came in over the weekend and put all of shelters. only news 6 was there when some of those people tried to come back. mark lehman joins us live. >> reporter: since we have been out here, we have seen police

you can see it looks much different than what we saw last week. officers this morning are trying to keep the building clear as employees return for the first time in more than a week. >> into the night, an officer remains on watch. the homeless here are being asked to leave at the property appraiser's office prepares to open its doors. >> this was the scene on friday as police gave the roughly 100 camped outside an ultimatum, the move difficult for some. others refusing to leave. >> only one person basically said, i am leaving, blank blank blank come and arrest me. >> for weeks, a growing number of homeless have called this their makeshift home. many refusing to leave leave.

helping to control the group. this turned into the area. >> the salvation army is operating at capacity to accommodate the more than 80 people over the weekend. that is just a temporary fix. we are told plans are stalled until the city can come up with operating costs. meanwhile, police say that they are preparing to release video from undercover officers and that video could be released as early as today. >> a crash is underinvestigation. a good samaritan was killed after troopers say she tried to help the victim of another crash. it happened yesterday along u.s. 1 south of harbor road. troopers say that's when motorcyclist lost his bike and

a good samaritan who witnessed it stopped to help. that's when investigators say she was hit by another car. the motorcyclist and a good samaritan died at the scene. the crash is still under investigation. >> officials say the pilot was just trying to land yesterday when something went wrong causing this plane to skid off the runway and overturn. the pilot was not seriously injured. it is unclear what caused this crash. crews at the national transportation safety board and faa are now investigating. >> in volusia county, family and friends expected to come together to mark a somber anniversary. today marks six long years until she disappeared. detectives say her cell phone hasn't been used and her bank account remains the same. the victim's mother holds a vigil each and every year.

5:30 at 1069 verizon view boulevard. everyone is invited to attend. >> the suspect involved in a shootout that left an innocent man injured won't be getting out of jail any time soon. smith. police say on friday night smith was pointing a gun at cars on busy 17/92. when police got there, they say smith started tiring at them and they fired back. a man who was walking by was hit in the leg. we are told his injuries are not life threatening. threatening. >> we are expecting to learn more details. we were there saturday when the bodies were found. this was at mission club apartments. the two were boyfriend and girlfriend. at this point, they are not searching for any other suspects

international health emergency. disease. currently the virus has been detected in 25 countries including 12 states here in the united states. zekea has been linked to a condition which causes babies to be born with small heads and underdeveloped brains. a crime tracker alert after vandals break into cars. investigators are trying to get results to find those responsible. it happened overnight saturday at three different hotels. candidate drive hotel, the monumental movie land hotel and the country inn and suites in that area. orlando police say thieves shattered the winds of 70 definite cars and took items and ran off.
