we'll get to that in a second. >> we are talking about the front bringing rain. it will be awhile before the front moves in and before we see the heaviest of the rain. it will take awhile sort of like a train going over a train track. much of the rain going north of us. that trend will continue for the first part of the day as most of the rain hiss marion county, but eventually all that stuff will slide in our direction as that front begins to push to the south and southeast. here's the breakdown, hour by hour, the coverage of rain at noon at 30%. if you have some stuff to do, even on your lunch break, things will be fine. we have at 78 at that point. getting up to 80 by 4:00. we have time to heat up. above the average which is 72. expect the afternoon drive and the bus stop to be wet. we'll pinpoint the risk for stronger storms with lightning

the cooldown behind it. first, let's check on those roads and head over to amy in the napleton traffic center. >> thank you very much. we have a few issues to start the day off with this morning. we have reports of a new accident that happened not too long ago. traveling through the area, we have a car that hit and took down a utility poll. we have power lines down by goldenrod. watch out for anybody directing traffic past that area. it looks like we have a tow truck on the scene. that's the westbound side of i-4, right by colonial drive. any delays. that's your check on traffic. we'll go back to you. >> back to the breaking news from overnight as we learn new information about a gas station shootout that left a marion county deputy injured. >> investigators say the sergeant was trying to talk to an armed man who was threatening suicide. it happened at marathon kangaroo gas station on southeast 20th street in ocala.

kirsten joins us live from there this morning. any word on how the deputy is doing? >> bridgett, the deputy is recovering from gunshot wounds to the leg. we know he is in stable condition while the man who shot at deputies is listed as critical. still a lot of questions left unanswered. we know the scene was just cleared in the last hour here at the gas station. we know the gas station is back open and the roads over here are also back open. let's give you a look at the area a few hours ago. extensive crime scene, bullet casings on the road. investigators tell us it started when a man drove up to the gas station with two guns and point one at his head. deputies tried to talk the man down asking him to put the weapon down for some time, but at some point, this man started shooting his second gun at the deputies who then fired back. we talked with a man who lived a

station who says he heard the gun shots. >> they never know where the bullets are going to go. we heard it come by us. we were standing on the porch. that's scary. >> we know the yeared deputy is sergeant daniel tramell. chris blair issued this statement after the shooting saying, our hearts all stopped when we heard one of our own has been shot while on duty. it is never a phone call i want to receive. the fdle has taken over and they are still not telling us who the man who shot at deputies is. we'll be asking more about this ongoing investigation all morning long. we'll have another update in 30 minutes. >> also breaking overnight, a seminole county man known for run-ins with the law over his messy yard is out of jail after posting bond. 61-year-old allen davis known as

deputies arrested him after the state attorney's office decided to file charges. crews spent nine hours hauling away a yard full of appliances, car scraps, scrap metal and more. investigators say davis was also driving on a suspended license. >> now a crime tracker alert, a suspect on the loose after a woman is attacked outside her house. >> the crime could have had a different ending if it wasn't for a dog scaring the man off. it happened in windermere. mark lehman joins us live in the studio. a little corgi is being called a hero. what happened? >> reporter: the victim who fears for her safety said her pet has never been aggressive but when her owner was in trouble, lucy jumped into action.

this corgi drops into the unlikely role of guard dog. >> she knew that mama was in trouble. >> her owner said she stepped outside before dawn when she spotted a manage agitated on the front porch. the woman tried to run inside but the man attacked. >> he grabbed me by the back of my hair and pulled me around and punched me in the side of the face. >> the victim said she screamed for her life as the man choked her. that's when lucy jumped in. >> she came 100 miles an hour down the stairs, tooth and toenail, hairs standing up on her back. >> she startled the man, enough for lucy to pub him out the door. >> northbound would have believed you did that. you have such a good girl. >> after the attack, we are told the man ran off and police were

the victim describes him as a light skinned man with goatee and dark hair. >> we can know later today if anyone will be charminged after a triple shooting at a tax office. it happened at the ttc on clear lake road yesterday. the owner's relative told us the shooting happened after a man got upset with the fee he had to gun. when deputies arrived at the scene, they say the tax office owner, the gunman and an innocent bystander from a nearby store were all shot. the names haven't been released to the media. detectives say they are not searching for any other suspects and they believe this was an isolated incident. >> police are asking for help to get results and find whoever sought two people at a complex. one of the teenaged victims did not survive. we brought you this as breaking news yesterday. police say 19-year-old jacob allman and another person were

all man later died from his injuries. police still won't tell us any other details about what happened. only they believe other people were in the area at the time. they are not asking witnesses to come forward and contact them. >> a suspected repeat robber is caught on camera. it is what he is wearing that could make him tough to find. take a look. as he walks in, deputies say this man was dressed in a full batman costume when he walked into the dollar store and this was on tuesday. he demanded cash from the clerk and then took off. detectives think this same guy robbed the dollar general not half later. no one was injured in either robbery. if you have any information at this point to help detectives get results in finding this guy, call the crimeline, the number is at the bottom of your screen -- 1-800-423-tips. >> road workers in orange county spent the night patching up possible sink holes. take a look, sky 6 was over the

and then by saturday, we see cooler air working in. here's the front, along a train track, much of the rain moving north of us. we'll continue to watch that front gradually move in our direction. once it actually moves into central florida, we'll increase rain chances. that comes after the noon hour on through the drive home and the bus stop later today. this morning at the bus stop, rain chances not that high. we'll see a few showers but most of the heavy rain comes around 3:00 this afternoon. we are at 68 at 7:00. bring the umbrella, you'll need it for later in the day. coming up, we'll pinpoint the it. let's check on the roads and head back over to amy in the napleton traffic center. >> the rain is leaving us alone for right now. we had a couple of issues this morning so far. i-4, traveling westbound, tow truck is on the scene. we have a single car that spun out and hit the barrier. everything is flowing without too much of an issue.

it is 5:45. a line of rain is moving for us in central florida. look at the radar and there are cooler temperatures behind that for later. troy is pinpointing when it all gets here. the full forecast come up in about three minutes. >> check out the scene behind me. people in southern states picking up the pieces after tornadoes rip through neighborhoods leaving behind plenty of damage. look at what is behind. this is liberty county. strong winds knocked down power lines. about 50 people are out of a home because of the strong storms. officials believe the tornado ripped through this area. they are waiting on confirmation from the national weather service. it is a similar scene in north carolina when a storm ripped off roofs and tossed things in royce. authorities working to determine if an actual tornado caused damages. >> the aftermath of a bizarre crash caught on camera. take a look at this video out in california.

top of a home after losing control and running off the road. the car came to rest on the roof of the home. workers had to use a crane to get the car back on the ground. the driver had some sort of medical issue that caused the crash. amazingly he wasn't seriously hurt. >> in election 2016 coverage, the two democrats vying for the nomination will go head to head in a debate. this comes hours after they took part in a town hall meeting. voters questioned bernie sanders and hillary clinton in new hampshire and both took the opportunity to point out each other's weaknesses. >> as a progressive who likes to get things done. >> what this campaign is about is not just about electing a president, it is creating a political revolution.
