of the evening, too. by the way there' s still a few of those lingering spits out there at the moment. but the big news is the wind. the wind has the bite to it right at the moment. as you can see on the west side of the state, we still have showers that want to transverse across the state and brevard, you know, osceola county and polk county, be aware though we still have showers out there and i think we' ll be done with this by noon. getting ready for the afternoon and enjoy the football game tonight. however if you are barbecuing outside, the wind is going to be your problem. it is not going to be a comfortable day. look, these temperatures right now in the 40s. 45 in new smyrna and 45 in sanford. however throw in the wind. those temperatures drop down into the 30s. orlando feels like 38 and feels like 37 in ocala.

got some dry air trying to push the skies. that will happen tonight but in the meantime we' re going to have to deal with small craft advisories and lake wind advisories and right now the temperatures are chilly and this is the factor, right here. winds, we could get some justin. >> justin: all right, danny, thanks so much. now for the breaking news in orange county. a mass shooting at an orlando night club has left two people dead and 6 injured. this happened early this morning at the glitz ultra lounge on universal boulevard. news 6 reporter kiersten o' connor is live at the scene. >> reporter: justin, we' ve been trying to talk with orlando police for several hours this morning and really haven' t gotten much response from them except we know 8 people were hurt. last night 2 people died out of those 8 in this orlando night club behind me. it' s called glitz.

inside of this night club last night and don' t know what time yet because police haven' t even given us that information, but officers were outside the club when shots went off inside. even so a pretty chaotic scene and some of the people with gunshot wounds were walking up to rescue crews for help as the ambulances were just pulling into the parking lot. then crews had to search the whole building to make sure all victims were accounted for. now we know 8 people were hurt, 2 of the 8 died, but it' s believed two of those that survived were rushed to the we' conditions they' re in and again this hour. also asking about any suspects. if there' s anyone still running around with the gun out here, we still don' t have any information from orlando police on suspects at this point. we continue to press them for answers this morning and get those answers for you as soon as we can. we'

just 30 minutes. justin? >> justin: all right, kiersten, thanks so much. this happened just a day after a shooting in a tampa night club. 7 were hurt after the fire near downtown tampa. police say 3 of the victims are females and 3 are under 21. we' re told some kind of argument led to the gunfire. they' re now hoping cell phone photos and videos inside along with the 3,000 dollar reward will help them get results and find a suspect. breaking overnight, this is video just coming in from orange county where a truck plowed into a welding business. this is on orange blossom trail and cypress street near jones high school. at this point we' re told there are reports of injuries but we aren' t sure how the crash happened. we' re working to gather more information from investigators. we' ll pass along any updates once we know more. developing now in orange county. there' s a mystery surrounding an ocoee home. it was all after the house was shot up by police with the family inside. it happened at a home on bell

morning the florida department of law enforcement is investigating into why they opened fire. here' s amanda castro, news 6 reporter. >> reporter: they' re investigating everything from officers opened fire. ocoee police say they responded to the call saturday morning in reference to the disturbance call. investigators say when they got there the homeowner came to the door with the gun in his hand. we' re told the homeowner heard someone shout "gun" and officers fired shots into the house. 2 adults and a 12- year- old boy were inside. no one was injured. we went to the house to speak to the family and get their side of the story, but the homeowner did not want to talk. you can see in these photos the front door is boarded up and there' s a sign that says, "door damaged by ocoee police." facs say they heard - - neighbors say they heard police

s something fdle will look into during their investigation. ocoee police described these officers as experienced. they' re both on paid administrative leave. fdle told me it could take months to figure out what happened. castro, news 6. >> justin: a second person has died after shots were fired at the florida mall friday night. old old andrew garland died from gunshot wounds. one was found trying to get help in front of jc penney. the other was near the car in the parking lot. deputies say no reports of shots fired at the mall. they' re still looking for tips to find the shooter. and continuing the search for the white car involved in the deadly shooting in the local shopping center. this is on 50 and police are looking for a white car that looks like this right here. they believe the victim, andrew jones, was in that car before

a witness reported seeing a white volkswagen 4- door car possibly missing part of the front bumper driving away from the area. detectives are working to identify a shooter and hope surveillance video could help here' s license plate number. if you have any information on this shooting, call police. developing now in volusia county, one person is dead after an suv carrying several people crashes and overturns. it happened around 6 p.m. last night. troopers say the driver was traveling northbound on u.s. 17 at dawson brown road when the suv flipped. we' re told the driver, mary hernandez, was ejected and killed. 4 other passengers were in the car. 3 were taken to the hospital, one in serious condition. the crash remains under investigation. now to north korea where this morning the country is claiming it successfully launched a satellite into orbit, but the launch is widely believed to be a cover for a long-

what we have coming up for today. it is then by the time we see more sunshine and show you that here in just a second and then tomorrow starting off chilly because not only are we going to have cold air moving in, but keep some of the wind overnight and that' s not going to make it very comfortable. by the way, those winds from the northwest 20- 30 knots for the boaters. small craft advisories and rough conditions. seas 8- 11 feet. 11- foot waves. that' s too big. here, take a look at this. got the rain pushing most of it out of the way and still have lingering things over here on the west side and over in the gulf of mexico. we' ll get rid of that as we go through the rest of the day. temperatures at the moment, those are not that uncomfortable until you add this in. west/northwest at 18 mph. all of a sudden the wind has a bite to it and it is dragging that in from the west and pushing it right down our throats and that stays that way most of the day. cloudy for this morning but will start improving at least

at 4:00 it won' t be that bad. small craft advisories, again, please, no boating. we push all those clouds out and by about 1:00 and that is what we expect with the wind factor back in the mine. by noontime hour by hour we' re breezy and today 59 the top temperatures in the villages and someone want to go to the mount dora art festival, it' s going to be very, very windy. please keep that in mind. the temperatures overnight and there will be a wind chill re making plans, windy and the 20% chance of rain and that' monday night.

it happened at a home on bell falls drive early saturday morning and this morning the department of law enforcement is investigating as to why the officers opened fire. here' s news 6 reporter amanda castro. >> reporter: ocoee police says the department of law enforcement is investigating everything from that initial call to why officers opened fire. ocoee police say officers carlos engel row and stephanie roberts responded saturday morning in reference to the disturbance call. investigators say when they got there, the homeowner came to the door with a gun in his hand. we' re told the homeowner heard someone shout "gun" and officers fired shots into the house. two adults and a 12- year- old boy were inside. no one was injured. we went to the house to speak to the family and get their side of the story but the homeowner did not want to talk. you can can see the front door is boarded up and a sign that says door damaged by ocoee police. they say officers went to the wrong home.

out to san francisco where the temperature will probably top out at 67 even though my graphic says 70. i think 67 is closer to game time temperature and that will be 6:30 our time but remember it' s like 3:30 their time so it' s not a big deal. hey, we did note see a sunset like this yesterday but liked it and sharing it at the villages and long ridge is the thing i' m seeing with the lake wind advisory up until 6:00 this evening and dangerous winds for today and dangerous when it gets up to 30 mph and if it is a high profile vehicle and simis on the road paying attention to that. it stays windy and drops down to about 20 mph winds as far as gusts go and the chill and still a wind to consider on monday, too.

and let me show you temperatures right now. let' s talk how comfortable it' s going to be. eventually we' re going to get in the 50s. right now notice these temperatures in the 40s. those are being altered because of what we call the wind chill factors. the wind slides across the exposed skin, it takes away heat and therefore makes the temperatures like this feel cooler. let me give you a for instance. 45 in orlando and feels like 38. it feels like it' s 39 in the villages and up around daytona beach and 38 and feels like it' s in the 40s in cocoa beach and melbourne. that' s the takeaway. and mentioning light rains are trying to push across the peninsula on out into the atlantic ocean. we' ll keep an eye on those and i don' t think they' re a big factor and by noontime we' ll flush most of these clouds out of here and bring in this dryer air.

and it never gets comfortable but this is the whole story for today. we get the temperature up to about 57. we have advisories for lakes and also for the ocean for today. >> justin: now to the breaking news where the mass shooting in the orlando night club left two people dead and 6 injured. this happened early this morning the glitz ultra lounge. o' connor is there and what are investigators telling you? t heard much from investigators, justin. they tell us their 8 victims in the shooting. 6 of the victims were taken to the hospital. 2 people died. now in the last 30 minutes the medical examiner did pull up here at the glitz night club and we also were able to talk with a woman who says that her husband is one of those people who died. now she didn' t want to go on camera. obviously a very upsetting time for her.

were involve indeed this but like i said, the medical examiner is here on scene. also a lot of orlando police prol cars and we' re still waiting from police to hear if they are looking for a suspect in this case. we know no officers were involved in the shooting, but orlando police did have officers outside the club when the shots went off inside. even so it was a pretty chaotic scene in the parking lot and some people with gunshot wounds walking up to rescue crews for help as ambulances were pulling in there. the crews had to search the whole building then to make sure that all the victims were accounted for. now we know at least 8 people were hurt. 2 of them died. and orlando fire did confirm that 3 of the survivors are rushed to the hospital in bad shape. so we' ve been asking orlando police what kind of conditions the rest of the victims are in. they have not responded to our calls or our e- mails this morning. we' re continuing to pres them for answers and try to talk with anybody out here who may have seen or heard any of the shots that were fired late last

it happened on bell harbor drive and this morning the department of law enforcement is investigating as to why the here' s amanda castro. >> reporter: the florida department of law enforcement is investigating everything from the initial call to why officers opened fire. ocoee police say officers carlos and stephanie roberts responded to the home at 1:00 saturday morning in reference to a disturbance call. investigators say when they got there, the homeowner came to we' re told the homeowner heard someone shout "gun" and officers shot into the house. two adults and a 12- year- old boy were inside. no one was injured. we went to the house to speak to the family and get their side of the story. the homeowner did not want to talk. you can see in these photos the door is boarded up and the sign that says damaged by ocoee police. neighbors say the police went to the wrong home.

advisory and that is all in effect until 6:00 and get up in 8 minutes. >> justin: this morning we now know at least 2 of the victims of the 8 shot in the orlando night club did not survive. that happened in the past couple of hours at the glitz ultra lounge at carrier drive. kirsten, you' ve seen people all morning. have they given you any information about a suspect? >> no, justin, nothing from police at this point. but we do know that thirty- two of the 6 were taken to the trauma alert. theepeople died and still trying to figure out how they' re doing and waiting on the conditions of the other 3. again, 8 people shot at this night club behind me and there are still investigators out here on the scene and we' ve seen investigators coming in and out of the doors but no word on what'

at this point. we know that no officers were in the shooting and that did have officers outside the club when the shots went off inside. even so our cameras were rolling and you can see the pretty chaotic scene last night and some people with gunshot wounds walking up to rescue crews for help as the ambulances were pulling into the parking lot. then crews had to search the whole building to make sure all of the victims were accounted for. we know 8 people were hurt. 2 of them died. and 3 of those survivors were rushed to the hospital in bad shape. we asked the orlando police if they could be looking for any suspects or anyone with a gun. but they' ve not answered our questions. we' ll continue to press them for answers. they did give us a tweet in the last hours saying they are going to be releasing more information soon so we' ll be monitoring that and continue to call and e- mail them and try to get some answers and give you
