news 6 goes under cover to get a gun and exposes a ordnance being ignored. it's a story you'll only see on news 6 i'm matt austin. >> i'm lisa bell. in belusha county, you should not be able to buy a gun without a background check or -- regardless whether the dealer is licensed or unlicensed. we found this is being broken. >> reporter: my producers went to the night show saturday morning to try to buy a handgun. first a license dealer said they need ed to wait three days. they kept looking. then they found this dealer holding a sign.

they handed over the money, $350, and under cover producer is given the handgun after only a glance at his driver's license. no questions asked. how did this happen? because it shouldn't have. belusha county is one of seven counties in florida that closed the so called begun show loophole that. mean this is ordnance says both licensed and unlicensed sellers are required to do a criminal history background check, have a three day waiting period to get a gun and this applies to gun shows, begun exhibits and collector gun exhibits and collector shows. but no background check or three day wait was mentioned by the private seller. and we did not see anyone at the show enforcing this ordnance. we turned the handgun over to the sheriff's office where we revealed what happened. >> it's disappointing to see that happened. because the rules are there for

is the it on the seller to know the rules and regulations. >> absolutely. as well as the people that are organizing these gun shows. we contact ed the organizers of the show. they sent me a photo of this sign. they say it's posted on the front entrance door and say dealers even sign an agreement stating they will abide by all county ordinances. so who's job is it to enforce this rule? >> the local law enforcement are the ones that are responsible for enforcing it. within sheriff's office it. we do occasional spot checks and walk throughs. still, according to moms against guns in america. background check. >> it would not guilty surprise me that you would be able to do that. we need to have universal background checks for all gun sales that happen in our state. john, a license begun dealer disagrees.

restrictions on gun ownership, we've got enough already on the books. but even with an ordnance on the books, we found rules being ignored. now begun gun shows held here fall under the belusha county shaves. after our investigation, that -- after our investigation, the belusha county sheriff's office said they will be speaking to the county and they will be talking about notifications as well as talking about enforcing that everyone knows about the rules and regulations when it comes to this counterordnance.

more than two years later, police say they have found that driver involved. shaun chaiyabhat is alive along east lake drive with new info on the arrest. >> reporter: yeah, that hit and run crash happened here along this road two years ago. and at the time, troopers said they had no eyewitnesss. so they needed hard evidence before they made an arrest. for years, raphael's family had no closure after his hit and run. his son said he wanted the driver to turn himself in. >> it's crushing my heart. it's my father. you know? it's such a great man. never did harm to anybody. always happy. >> reporter: now investigators have finally made that arrest. new evidence links 60-year-old mark man news to the scene. but he's been a potential suspect for a while. two years ago an anonymous tip

car in the garage. man any had no comment today. >> we wanted to give him a opportunity to respond. >> reporter: back then, he gave a statement to traffic homicide investigators. but without an eyewitness putting him behind the wheel, investigators needed more before they made an arrest. troopers say the state crime lab found his blood on his car. >> reporter: and tonight troopers told me that manis is a handicap driver that he requires hand breaks on his steering wheel. so we looked into his record, it turns out he only had 1 careless driveing violation before this arrest. shaun chaiyabhat live for us. thank you. just in now, an emotional re-union after a baby was kidnapped. video just in. you can see that mom clutching her ten month old daughter. police say the mom walked into the laundromat this afternoon. and left her daughter in the car.

and drove off. the baby and car found a few hours later. the crook is still on the loose. also just in, frightening pictures out of palm bay where a house went new flames. this is on raven's wood street southeast. you can see the flames shooting through the roof of the garage. no word if anyone was hurt. right thousand firefighters do not know what caused it. tonight a new twist in a church controversy. >> back in december, we first told you a woman claimed she had an affair with a pastor at orlando bopty church. she sued claiming the church broke a secret promise to pay her to keep quiet. now tonight , the pastor's profile is off the church's website. sashell saunders is live with the latest. >> reporter: lisa, the church was rocked by this scandal. they said they would hand it will matter internally. it seems they made their decision. nearly two months after a woman claimed she had an affair with

pastor, his bio has been scrubbed clean from the church's website. church.com no longer has her picture or information under the pastor's tab. and most references have also been removed. news 6 has obtained a copy of the agreement that the alleged misstress arlene and church officials signed. in it one of their generous donors agrees to grif miranda $375,000 a week through may of this year. and $200 a week until the end of july. however, in order to collect the money, she agreed to leave the church, get her car fixed, get counseling, and find a job. both sides also promised not disparage the other and keep all dealings confidential. miranda sued when she claims the church didn't pay her on time. the church claims miranda mischaracterized the agreement and disputes the vast majority of the allegations.

caught on camera, a hit and run crash. a car slammed into another car as people were getting in. over there. here's a closer look. the group had just gone to a liquor store. when they returned, a surveillance video caught a mercedes benz. this is the owner of that benz who they believe hit the car. he spoke to the detectives this morning.
