it is 5:00 a.m. i'm david hall. >> i'm bridgett ellison. thank you for joining us early. >> it is early. >> a little bit. >> 4:59. >> that's early. if you travel like we do -- >> that is a good thing this morning. >> if you are about to hit the road, light rain. most of that is moving out. it led to wet roadways. the big story will be tomorrow's round of storms. let's show you the radar. not a lot of rain on the radar. most has traveled to the north. a few light areas of rain from marion county along ivenlths 75 and just north into areas of palm coast and northern sections of flagler county. we'll see a chance for light sprinkles in some of these regions. we'll see a drying trend for the next couple of hours. then again, another round of rain rolls in through the afternoon. south winds bring in plenty of moisture ahead of a front that will move in tomorrow. 80 at noon.

coverage of those afternoon showers with a couple of embedded thunderstorms, just in time for the drive. coming up, we'll talk about the big changes for tomorrow, from noon until 3:00 in the afternoon on wednesday. there is a severe threat. we can't rule out one or two isolated tornadoes. another round of storms. we'll pinpoint it carefully. let's check on the roads. some of them are wet. the good news is we are not seeing a lot of rain. amy in the napleton traffic center with the latest. >> we are not seeing a ton of cars on the roads. that does help. take a look at your drive times really in good shape this morning, despite those couple of puddles. westbound and eastbound right along i-4, really nice and smooth. you are in the green which is a very good thing. if you are traveling on 95, same thin northbound, taylor to i-4. 40 to 4 only seven minutes. that's your check on traffic. back over to you. >> a man answers his door overnight in orlando and three home invaders standing outside shoot him.

in the hospital. the suspect who did it are still on the run. it happened last night at the pine view apartments south of clarcona ocoee. kirsten is live this morning. do police have any idea what the three suspects were after? >> we know detectives just cleared the scene within a matter of hours. they are still trying to figure out if those three men who shot that man at his doorstep before taking off stole anything. we are out here right where this all happened inside the pine view apartments. our cameras were rolling as police taped off the home last night. we know the three guys police are looking for showed up to an apartment at pine view just before midnight. then knocked on the door. as the 22-year-old victim answered, one man told him to give it up and shot the victim in the stomach. police say the victim is recovering in the hospital. he is expected to be ok.

information about the relationship between the man and those three suspects. they are not telling us if the suspects took anything from inside that apartment. we are working to get answers and we'll post updates as we get them to our website, clickorlando.com. another update in 30 minutes. >> also breaking overnight, two dogs dead after a fire at a home. the flames broke out in the past few hours of this house on marcos avenue near lancaster road. firefighters tell us seven people and six dog were in the home at the time. everyone got out safely. crews think the fire may have started in the kitchen. johnny is at that scene getting new information right now. we have a live report coming up at the bottom of the hour. breaking overnight, two people dead after a motorcycle crash. deputies say a pickup truck pulled out in front of the motorcycle. this is near the oak hill flea market. the driver and passenger on the

troopers say the crash is still being investigated. >> developing this morning, imagine seeing this in your neighborhood -- a battering ram riding down the street and smashing into a house. it happened last night in longwood. neighbors are worried about what may have been going on inside that house. this wild scene played out last night on orange avenue. mark lehman is there live. mark, lots of unanswered questions by police so far. >> we have been pressing police for answers. they are telling us it was an armed robbery that bruth them to the home yesterday. you can see off in the distance, that marks the spot where the swat team moved in. neighbors this morning are still fearful over what could have prompted this response. >> i was hiding in my office. i thought there would be bullets flying. you don't know. >> fearing for her safety, she captured this video while

neighbors offered no explanation as an armed vehicle is on their st street. >> i opened the door and there were swat teams everywhere, men, women, battering ramgs, one of those battering tanks was out here. >> police reveal it was an armed robbery that brought them to the home. officers were forced to wait until a search warrant was issued and the sheriff's off wa was brought in for backup. neighbors say they are unsure what has been going on inside but as suspected something strange as of late. >> when these people moved in, my niece called it -- there is something going on here. obviously, something was. >> police say they seized items from the home. police aren't saying if anyone has been placed under arrest. we are working to get answers to those questions.

that lived here at this home and also as well we are looks to find out how many times police have been called here in the path. as soon as we get answers to those questions, we'll bring to it you right here. >> also new this morning, osceola county deputies are asking for your help to get results and find the men they say robbed the publix. you can see a man in a beanny. deputies say they walked into the publix on sunday, handed a worker a note demanding money. the man then took cash and walked out. here's a closer look. no unwith was hurt in this. if you have information on this crime, call the crime line -- 1-800-423-tips. >> police posted this video last night of the leavitt being hauled off to jail. she demanded items from a driver

she is now charged with armed robbery. >> the driver troopers say caused a deadly crash is expected in court this morning. we brought you this as breaking news yesterday after investigators say valentine rammed into several cars stopped at a red light. one of those drivers did not survive. drivers say cc took off but was arrested not far away. they say he didn't even have a license. >> a tragic story, an update to a story we brought you last night -- last week actually. news 6 learned the 16-year-old hospitalized after a helicopter crash has died. we showed you this video of a chopper who slammed into the water near pearl harbor last thursday. john morgan was there and witnessed the crash with his tour guide.

victims out of the water. >> >> i regret we didn't get them out faster. >> we are told it took three minutes to pull the teen out of the water. four of the people on the helicopter are ok. so far investigators haven't said what caused the crash. >> president obama will make another trip to the sunshine state. the president announced he'll visit jacksonville. he'll tour lithium ion battery plant. it is part of the push to show off the success of the stimulus package. the company behind the plant won a 9 and a half million dollar grant from the government. >> we picked up rain overnight. the roads are a little bit wet. >> we are pinpointing rain left over. some of that moving into northern zones. not a lot of it coming down. where you see the green, a lot of this not quite reaching the ground.

few light sprinkles and slick spots. for palm coast, along i-95, crescent city, all those areas in northern zones. the big story will be what we'll pinpoint tomorrow. the severe weather threat between noon and 3:00, the main threat, strong wind gusts, greater than 50 miles an hour, that could lead to damage. lightning and the possibility of an isolated tornado or two. the last round, we had a tornado warning early. there is another chance for that tomorrow through the afternoon. we'll keep you up to date and continue to pinpoint it. at the bus stop, 43. make sure the kids have the rain gear. it is going to be warm. we'll talk about tomorrow's rain and storms in a bit. first, let's check on the roads with amy in the traffic center. >> thank you very much. fortunately, we are moving along well sfiet the fact that roads are wet. just construction from overnight

shot. investigators say the victim answered a knock at the door last night. that's when one of the suspects shot him. kirsten is at the scene. she'll have a live update at the bottom of the hour. >> in southern california, dozens of firefighters battle a fire. the fire ripped through the house near los angeles early this morning. just look at this incredible foot anl. between 75 and 100 firefighters sent to fight tin fer know. we are told several vehicles were charred. fortunately, no one was injured. the cause of the fire is still billioning investigated. >> reps for the flea market denying claims they violated a woman's rights. >> she says she was renting a booth at the daytona beach flea and farmers market when management told her they received complaints about her breast-feeding her 6-month-old. gregory said when she returned

she was denied. >> everything about it was wrong. i felt really wronged by the flea market. it is the last time we go to the flea market. >> the flea market tells news 6 other vendors complained about her loud and graphic language. >> a man accused of killing a girlfriend who was found floating in the river won't be getting out any time soon. the judge denied his request for bond. last summer, detectives say the 28-year-old was strangled and then dumped in the halifax river near a port orange marina. prince is charged with first degree murder. >> more problems for representative allen grayson as we learned ethics investigation

critics say the orlando democrat is violating ethics rules by using his office to promote a fund. grayson said he is confident he'll be cleared of any wrongdoing. this cams hours after grayson divorce drama was back in a courtroom. he was asking his former partner to return some of his things. their marriage was declared void when it was discovered lolita was already married to another man when the two were married in 1990. >> a woman is speaking out -- >> in this video, you can hear the deputy yelling at tiffany to put her hands mind her back. when she does not, she is pushed up against the wall. she was eventually arrested and ended up getting stay unless her head and marks on her neck.

he says he plans to take advertise diploma to church. we thank him for his service. >> we are pinpointing a transition. we'll see clouds and rain, not all that pretty outside. tomorrow is when we pinpoint the storms. it will be from noon on until around 3:00 tomorrow afternoon. >> a chance for severe weather. let's get you out there and show you what we are pinpointing. setting the stage for today's rain and tomorrow's storms, we have patchy fog. visibilities are still good but we'll watch this closely and pinpoint where we could see lower visibilities. it looks like that would be along i-4, visibilities at three miles. here's what we are watching for tomorrow, this low pressure from texas b will be moving in. most of the energy to bring the threat for tornadoes will be to our north in parts of georgia and the carolinas.

chance for one or two rotating storms. the big threat will be wind gusts today. rain with thunderstorms and plenty of warm air. today getting into the 80's. tomorrow's threat looks like this, between noon and three, the main threat, strong wind gusts, greater than 450 miles an hour and lightning. we can't rule out some rotating storms that could lead to one or two tornadoes. we'll watch that closely. remember last time, we had to deal with that early in the morning. the good news is it will be through the afternoon. we won't do the coverage when people are asleep like last time. here's the way it looks as we show you the temperatures out the door. 64 in ocala and the villages. 65 in daytona beach. right now, 246 in orlando. 64 in melbourne. here's a look at your pinpoint accurate forecast. >> as we take you through the day. look at the sky, plenty of clouds. not much sunshine. certainly not pretty out there.

up to 83 degrees at 4:00. a 40% coverage of those afternoon showers. embedded a couple of thunderstorms but not a whole bunch of that today. the main risk for the severe weather will be tomorrow. heading out on the town, rain chances taper off a little bit from 8:00 until 11:00. only a 20% coverage. look at those temperatures, still in the 70's. we'll be at 72 at 9:00. 70 at 11:00. there's the rain and clouds forecast. there's the shower activity. we'll pin point it this afternoon. ongoing through drive time at 6:00. a break overnight tonight. another round, the refk for stronger storms. in marion county and sumter county. noon on is when we'll see the bigger risk for strong storms, including those damaging winds through 2:00, 3:00 in the amp. by 6:00, it is all pushed out, that's the good news. 80 in daytona beach. tomorrow, up to 82 with a 70% coverage of rain. then we clear out and we see highs in the 60's.
