tonight, the risky ride. school bus drivers breaking traffic laws even crashing. but some are allowed to keep their jobs. news 6 investigates in moments. breaking news, police out in full force surrounding a car after a robbery and chase. they think the people inside caused a whole lot of trouble tonight. i'm matt austin sxfrjts i'm lisa bell. this all started when someone was robbed near the speak and shake. police went after the suspects who ditched their car near lake marry boulevard and daft wood lane. jen, a lot to go over. first off, anyone at this point in custody?

that one person is actually in custody. and they're actively searching for three other people that ditched the car right here in this parking lot and took off in that direction. >> a helicopter search from above wednesday nighted looking for three suspect that is ran from police. we were there at multiple agencies set up a perimeter scouring the woods for the thieves at large. four people in a tan lexus pulled up to a man at a stake and shake. pulled him inside the car and shows. off. a county deputy spotted the lexus in the longwood area and started their pursuit. while on i four, police tell us, someone in the car through a gun out the window, smashing into the another car and landing in their back seat. the suspects got off on lake marry boulevard where they ditch ed the car in a plaza and took off on foot.

guy, and that continued to search for the remaining three. police say the lexus was stole and be used someone else's tag on the car. if you have any information on where these men could be. you're asked to all the police. in lake marry, jennifer ortega news 6. thank you. also breaking tonight, rescuers are now identified a missing boater. they are still searching for him. sky six flew over the lake as crews were searching the water. the orange county deputies identify ed the boater as 76-year-old william roble. his boat was found going in circles on the lake around 1045 this morning. and no one was on board. deputies say they will search the lake throughout the night f. we get any updates, we'll bring them to you during this newscast. a disturbing update to a dramatic take down.

deputies show these two men pistol whipped an u ber driver. a dozen over robberies around orange county. erik sandoval is around. >> >> reporter: these 2 men driveing around town and targeting people walking by them. one of the victims putting air in his tires. he says he turned around when a gun was poipted as his head and the two men demanding everything he had. >> orlando police say 37-year-old john david powell and 24-year-old nathaniel woods terrorized the city on superbowl sunday. that night of stealing actually began here in the park around 530. a man tells investigators, he was walk near the intersection of lake under hill when a car pulled up beside him. the two men inside demanded a gun, his car keys, his wall let

another man says he was here at shelf air at the airport when a car matching that same description pulled up. not an hour later, the pair pistol whipped an u ber driver at south hampton inn. they then rob ed a tourist packing up his car shopping at the outlet mall on international drive. that is when police finally caught up with them. this is night vision video taken from a sheriff's helicopter as bell isle police cornered the men. >> one's out, two's out running northbound. >> reporter: you can see they crash ed the stolen car they were in and ran doo a neighborhood. thanks to the chopper, both arrested and in jail. now i did talk to the wife of one of the men that was robbed not far from here. her husband was terrified. but she is glad police linked

county jail tonight. both being held without bond. we're live in orange county, erik sandoval news 6. at this hour, still no word on when the i four make over will resume. the entire project is on hold after a worker died on the job. investigators say a dump truck ran over marvin franklin as it was backing up along the work site near wide moor road. the contractor told us it is now reviewing safety procedures. >> review our plans again. let's review our access. let's review all of our safety protocols on the project and make sure that we do have the right tools in place. witnesses tell us loud traffic and heavy winds may prevented franklin from hearing the truck's back up alarms. but at this point, investigators have not said what caused the accident. tonight new trouble brewing for royal caribbean after this rough ride here on the high seas.

is suing for the rocky ride aboard the anthem of the seas. the ship was head ed to port canaveral when it headed for a storm. he was flung 18-feet against his cabben door and knock teed unconscious. previously royal caribbean said four people suffered minor injuries. spokesperson said the cruise line will not respond to the lawsuit until it gets a chance the look tea at it. now to a news 6 investigation surrounding school bus drivers. we trust them to take our children to school and bring them home safely. what happens when they get into crashes or are caught breaking the law. investigators mic is live outside orange county school bus depot tonight. problems on the road. yeah, that's a relatively small percentage, lisa. but one year period, we found more than 60 orange county school bus drivers receive tickets for speeding, running red lights, or in some cases,

the same thing's happening in other counties. we found in most cases, those drivers allowed back behind the wheel. a seminal county school bus driver runs a red light and sideswipes a car. jack was allowed to keep his job after retraining. but less than a year later, authorities say he ran the same red light again and collided with this power pole, causing sparks to fly. no one was seriously hurt, he quit shortly after this crash in 2012 and no longer drives school buss. but news 6 has learned other school bus drivers involved in crashes are still driving our children. in 2014, this orange county school bus pulled out of an apartment complex and into the path of an oncoming car.

>> the car went under the bus and everybody turned and everybody was screaming. and everybody was worried. >> reporter: the bus driver received a ticket for failing to yield. but tonight, she is still behind the wheel of a school bus. after the school district issued her this written reprimand. she's been with the district for the 25 years. i checked her driving history, fairly clean. not even a speeding ticket. that's on and off the job. >> reporter: if a school bus driver gets a speeding ticket in their personal car or runs a red light like this one did, their bosses find out about it. every single week, the state sends local school districts these reports showing their employee's driving history. each district handles discipline differently. orange county uses a point system. speeding and improper backing causes three points. failing to stop at a railroad crossing, six. depending on the point total over two years. they could receive verbal and

and dismissal. we've found several examples of drivers crashing their school buss. fortunately; injuries and damage are minimal. punishment. since the drivers had few other traffic violations. linda decline ed to talk to us about her school bus crash and jack tim mel could not be reached for comment. keep in mind, these drivers go through extensive training. more than 80 hours in seminal county. these buss are expense and i've carrying priceless cargo. so they have a lot of interest in knowing what those drivers doing. >> so mike, how can parents find the driving history of their child's school bus driver. >> reporter: that driving history is public record here in florida. on our facebook page, we posted a link with information on how you can request that history.

they say a mystery hacker paid their phone bill with a stolen credit card. >> yeah, the family was then banned from using a credit card to pay their bill ever again. that's until investigator mike got involved. >> reporter: news 6 kathy is meticulous paying her bills. >> immediately, all those payments were credited. >> reporter: she said the she say assigned a specific credit card to pay her att's credit account. >> somehow somebody got many my cat and change ed the credit card and started paying my bills. >> reporter: that's right, a mystery hacker infiltrated her cell phone account and replaced her credit card with a stolen card. >> it was being used to pay your accounts? >> yeah. i know it sounds crazy. and nobody believes me. >> reporter: att didn't believe her. alerting her she owed $1,300 charge today that stolen car. ending in four digits she'd

>> reporter: can you believe this is happening? how bizarre. >> that's exactly what i was saying. i was calling everyone talking to anyone with att saying have you ever heard of a situation like this? and their response was basically i'm lying. >> reporter: but she discovered that stolen card was being used to pay her netflix account. both accounts linked to the same e-mail. there's a twist. >> the pass words are not the same and the user names are not the same. it's not like they used my e-mail account and tried to guess my password. >> reporter: still att revoked her right to pay with a credit card ever again. >> my credit report is just immaculate. >> reporter: that's when we got involved. att agreed to accept their credit card payments again. and there's more. >> after i called channel six, within 24 hours, i got a phone call from att saying everything's okay, don't worry about it. you don't have to pay the bill right now. >> reporter: so we got results

>> we got results. thank you so much. >> reporter: we may never know the real agenda of this mystery hacker. the good news is, kathy's family can once again yaws their credit cards to pay att. in apack ca, mike holfeld. make sure you switch your pas words every few months. a fed ex driver you can see swerving right here all over the road and putting himself and others in serious danger. a driver used his cell phone to catch this video. he says the guy slowed down five miles per hour on a busy tampa road. and then he sped up. you can watch as he goes over that concrete median towards oncoming traffic and veers back in his lane. >> i thought he was going to run in head on there were cars coming nt westbound lane. the driver was able to get

now than the last time in sanford. lee's burg, 10 colder than last night. 14 already, 14 colder in gainsvill than we were last night at the same time. here comes the wind. if you were with us earlier tonight, we still had winds up here. but tonight everything is westerly. it's pushing 24 miles per hour in new smyrna. ten in orlando, and 13 in kissimmee. it's all being pushed in here by this big pocket of low pressure that's cranking up the nation's interior in the ohio valley. pushing the cold front in and the cool air is settling up for tonight. this is the way it goes. this week, big ridge of high pressure takes over. and the low is leaving. the frontal zone comes in. we cool down and we get the sunny skies. and so if you like the cool, crisp air, the next three days are your times. tonight, claireing, tomorrow morning, really clear. tomorrow afternoon, more of the same.

golden state could be a little tired tomorrow. we could catch them on the second game back to back. the golden state warriors blowing out tomorrow and they tip off 7 o'clock. the defending nba champions are 7 o'clock. they set the record for most wins ever in the regular season. they've been practically unstoppable. but maybe miami wore them out a little. the team and the city golden state visit ed the heat tonight. the warriors were down in double didn'ts. steph curry, no limit on his range. he leaves the nba and score. the golden state fills out the half with a big surge in the second. scores 31 and curry was just on fire. warriors come back and win 118-112 to improve to 51 and 5. curry finished with 42. and he hit a three in 127 consecutive games. he'll set the new nba record if
