4:36 pm
security and also privacy. >> ginger: that's right. and now with a new twist, "the new york times" reports today apple engineers are working on new security measures that will make it impossible for the government to break into a locked iphone. in his first interview since the judge's ruling, apple's c.e.o. tim cook told abc news yesterday the farook case isn't about the phone but the future. >> what is at stake here is can the government compel apple to write software that we believe would make hundreds of millions of customers vulnerable around the world, including the u.s. >> ginger: sources tell us cbs news apple plans to argue in part the american people, through congress, should decide on the issue. apple has until tomorrow to appeal the judge's ruling. despite protesting the judge's decision last week, the company has cooperated with the f.b.i. in the farook case by providing
