blossom trail intersection. that's where we find mark lehman. you are finding investigators back at the complex this morning. >> we watched as homicide detectives and the csi van pulled into the apartments. it appears they are gathering evidence. weapon here last night as crime scene investigators arrived on the scene. homicide detectives focusing on one apartment building. this all happened around 8:30 last night. police aren't saying what prompted their response. when officers arrived, they found the body of a 28-year-old man. they aren't saying what happened but it happened somewhere in the complex. no one else was injured in the shooting but that is the only information being released at this time. police are not releasing a suspect description. they say one will be forwarded to us once it is available. right now, i'm working to gather more information on that.

morning and seeing if they can tell us anything more about how this man died. >> mark, thanks. in hours a brother and sister accused of stealing money from a girl scout will go before a judge. >> we are learning about how investigators were able to track this pair down. johnny, it turns out social media played a role role. >> reporter: that's right. tips from people around the community and a comment on facebook is what led investigators to the brother and sister. >> he pulled it out of her hand. it was scary for her. she is a 12-year-old girl. he is a grown man. >> deputies say 20-year-old nicholas and his sister, 25-year-old ashley winters turned themselves in thursday

cash back from a girl scout. police say they were on to the two since tuesday after an officer recognized nicholas from a previous arrest. investigators took to face book and found the 20-year-old there. >> we don't know where the cookie money is. >> they quickly connected the interior of the car from his facebook profile picture to the thieves' getaway car. a tipster identified the pair and led the investigators to where they live. the siblings own grandfather and winters' husband confirm it was them. >> they said, yeah, that was his wife, that was his daughter, that was his vehicle. >> we are glad to have them in custody and hold them to account for what they did. >> both are being charged with robbery and petty theft. >> we did speak with the

integrated uber city in the united states. the city is partnering with uber for a pilot project to determine the exact ride sharing has on a community. the goal is to boost sun rail ridership and cut down on traffic. the city will provide riders with support of 20% on all trips within city limits. the announcement comes after they met to try to find common ground on ride sharing. they asked simmons on whether he would consider a compromise. lift told us our story helped get everyone back at the table to talk and is helping to get results and, quote, we are open to discussing proposals in hopes that we could keep ride sharing affordable for floridians. back to the drawing board after daytona beach and county

to fix the ongoing homeless problem. back in january hundreds of homeless people camped out in front of a county building. council proposed a plan to house the homeless in a temporary shelter called safe harbor. now the county's $4 million to buy land and build a shelter is off the table, after daytona beach xhirthsz sent a letter proposing to only spend $400,000 a year for the next five years to operate the facility. the county says it is looking into other options on how the spend the money. several recommendations including a temporary shelter, work groups and a crisis response emergency shelters were all mentioned but as of right now, no decisions has been made. >> after a long wait, orlando city will return to action. the kick off of 2016-2017 season. they'll do it at the citrus bowl. the lions are coming off the roller coaster of an inaugural center missing grabbing that

being cared for by a grandmother after police say she threw her daughter into a dumpster. two others reached in and grabbed the toddler. the baby's father appeared in court said she was shocked by the news. >> caught me unexpectedly. i never would have thought she would do anything like this. >> sheffield justified her actions saying she had a miscarriage five months ago and was depressed. she somewhat denied the allegation saying, everyone is crazy, i did not throw my daughter in a dumpster, i put her in the dumpster. she being held on $16,000 bond. >> no charges will be filed in the deaths of two toddlers who drowned in a volusia county pool. we first brought you the story as breaking news last july when the two toddlers wounded out of the home and drowned in the pool. according to the incident report released yesterday the woman watching the toddler put them to sleeve around 11:00 the night

when she awoke, she found them in the pool not breathing. prosecutors say while it is unclear how the toddlers got out, it does not rise to the level of culpable negligence. >> a man will not get out of jail any time soon. a judge ordered 21-year-old john louca to be held without bond. he got into a fight with 53-year-old kent wilbanks. wilbanks was found unconscious at the debauchery bar and died a short time later. police say mace troe is from italy and was here on a work visa. he is charged with second degree murder. >> it turns out one of the best breakfast it issor you could be one of the simplest. boston researchers found woman who ate five or more servings of yogurt a week had a lower risk

you can see the yellows and reds indicating light to moderate to at times heavy rain moving through titusville, port st. john's. soon that is moving out to sea altogether. you can see bithlo, a few sprinkles left over. most of that is drying out. for hunter's creek, kissimmee drying out. sprinkles linkering. what about temperatures? because of the clouds overnight, temperatures didn't drop much. in fact, we are still in the mid 60's. 65 in orlando. sanford at 64. 63 in daytona beach. a little cooler north and west as this front is is moving through in marion county. it is 57. here's a look at the pinpoint accurate forecast. >> and notice the sky over downtown orlando. a mix of sun and clouds. more and more sunshine breaks out as the day progresses as we clear out behind the front. the front continues to push out of the way. we are at 75 at noon today. by 8:00 this morning, we are leaving in a 20% coverage of rain.
