heat as we head into the afternoon, even this morning starting off warm across central florida, in the mid 60's, approaching 70. we are at 70 in cocoa beach. 71 in melbourne. to the north and west, a touch cooler, not quite cool enough for a jacket. we'll drop a little bit from here in parts of flagler county. right now, we are at 60. we could be seeing the upper 50's within the next couple of hours. that's pretty mild. 66 is the temperature in orlando. 63 in ocala. as we help you plan the temperatures. we'll see sunshine today, much like yesterday. a few clouds on and off. we are up to 81 at noon. all the way up to 86 degrees at 4:00. wie talk about rain for the weekend, when it arrives, what plans. some weddings going on. i have gotten calls about that. expect. let's check on the roads and head over to amy in the napleton

ranging from 3 to 7 years old. police think she may have been traveling to ocala because she has family here. deputies spotted her car in the area of 47th terrace and ocala. they say garrison was found later and turned herself in. reports from georgia that she is also the mother of a 2-year-old found dead inside a home in albany, georgia about 250 miles away. the child had been dead for a couple of days and was hidden inside the family's home. we know she will be kept in jail before being brought to georgia. her three other kids are in the care of dcf. we'll let you know as soon as we get new information. >> also developing, extra patrols on the streets in one part of volusia county. it is because a 9-year-old boy says a man tried to lure him to

news 6 reporter mark lehman is there live. mark say they have a pretty good description of this man. what more are you hearing? >> david, overnight detectives tell us they are working on a composite sketch and hope to have that out this morning. for parents, that can't come soon enough after a boy was approached on his way to school. >> to hear that, i don't know, it has always been safe. >> this comes after a 9-year-old said he was approached by a man on his way to chasz. >> i would think i should feel safe next to the school. >> investigators say the boy was riding his bike when the stranger walked up and asked the child if he wanted to go to his house. frightened, the boy ran back home. >> tell kids that age don't talk to strangers. you never know who you'll run into, even close to the school.

the child is described as heavy set with medium length black hair and a black goatee. he was wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts and black tennis shoes and sunglasses. >> police say they are stepping up patrols this morning for the man. it is unknown if he lives nearby. in the past few minutes, i did a search for sex offenders in the area. coming up, i'll tell you the disturbing results. >> extra deputies will be on the campus of a flagler county high school after a stupt threatened of a student with a gun. the school was put on lockdown while crews searched that school. nothing was found but deputies say they are taking the sightings seriously. the sheriff releasing this statement, saying, quote, our campuses are safe and will only stay that way with young people

others what is happening. >> now to election 2016 coverage. five days to go before the primary. today bernie sanders brings his campaign back to central florida. >> sanders will be in kissimmee this afternoon. that comes hours after he again faced off on stage with hillary clinton for a debate, touching on several big hot button issues. ginger is in miami to see it. >> sanders with momentum on his side, his upset win in michigan seems to have reinvigorated his campaign. clinton and sanders clashed early and often on a lot of issues. the one thing they agreed on was immigration reform. they both agreed they would deport children. here's some of what they had to say about immigration reform. >> children already here -- >> i would not deport children. i do not want to deport family members.

first time. investigators say this man went yesterday. they say he indicated he had a weapon and demanded money before leaving on a motorcycle. he is being held at the indian river jail without bond. >> trash haulers this orange county could face thousands of dollars in fines if they miss a pickup. it is a story we have been following since the beginning of the year when orange county ruled out its automated trash collection system and started racking up hundreds of xhants. now the haulers could face up to $500 a tay for failing to complete routes. offices fielded nearly 500 calls for missed pickups and 2500 in february. they . >> we'll see how that situation

>> in hours, the man accused of killing another man in a work place shooting is expected to make his first appearance before a judge. >> this is as workers try to make sense of what happened there. he came face to face with a coworker holding a baseball bat. he said his other coworkers were screaming he just shot and killed someone. he grabbed his gun he kept in the car and held the suspect at gun point until officers arrived. >> he was odd and he had problems with everybody. cameras caught this man being taken away after the shooting. detectives aren't releasing the identities of the shooter or the victim. >> wild moments aboard a spirit airlines flight from baltimore

this is cell phone video capturing a fight between a group of women on the plane. they are really fighting. witnesses say it happened after passengers got angry music was played too loudly. the fight didn't last long once it was announced police were quickly. no one was seriously hurt. fight. >> more than a month after a family was tied up and robbed inside their home and four people have been arrested and charged with the crime. three men and one woman facing felony charges including armed home invasion, kidnapping and car jacking. this is a story we brought you in january when detectives say the four suspects forced their way inside the house. detectives say they tied up a teenage girl and her mother's boyfriend, ransacked the place boyfriend. he was found tied up in the back seat of a car a few miles away. news of the invasion left many

>> we all generally feel like what if it could have happened to us because it is so close to us. it is unsettling. >> three of the four suspects are being held without bond. firefighters all night looking for flare-ups. these are live pictures from the scene in palm bay. that fire has been burning in and around san felipeo. nothing like what happened yesterday afternoon. look at scene here. that is when 45 acres burned in a few hours. one home was left with a giant hole in its roof after embers from the fire landed on top of it. workers say the weather didn't help at all.

the heat we'll be dealing with today. today approaching 90 in some spots. here is why. we have a big area of high pressure. it continues to dominate our forecast. it is acting as a blocking mechanism, a brick wall keeping these storms along this front from moving into the southeastern u.s. certainly, keeping it from moving into our area. for the next couple of days we'll heat up because of the winds around that area of high pressure, coming out of the southeast, bringing moisture in the form of cloud cover. certainly not in the form of rain. look at how warm we are to start. temperatures are milder than we were a couple of mornings back where many areas were in the 40's. 63 in ocala. the villages at 64. daytona beach at 66. 66 in orlando. if you can believe it, we are at 71 in melbourne right now. again, that region in brevard
