a little later in the newscast, what makes her so unique. but first a look outside in orlando in the bright house city cam in high definition. clear and calm out right now, but looking like a wet weekend is in store for central florida. so when can we expect showers? meteorologist danny treanor is pinpointing the weekend forecast. >> danny: i' m betting on tomorrow afternoon to be the most active period over the next 48 hours. but in the meantime, if you' re headed out, if you' re taking advantage of the last and final weekend of bike week, we' ve got some fog issues out there. particularly up around daytona beach and palm coast and rain out in the atlantic ocean. those are not headed to the inland areas and not a big deal. also a little bit of rain in lake okeechobee and down around pompano city and fort pierce, just to let you know the atmosphere is changing enough that it' s a possibility that rain chances are going to be on the increase. but if you are going to go out

war bird air show and whether you' re going to do bike week, today is the best day out of the next two. today patchy fog up around daytona beach and spotty showers and i think sprinkles would be a better word in there storms for tomorrow. we have a 50 percent chance rain for tomorrow. the temperatures are in the 60s and we are headed to the 80s and in daytona beach and palm coast and going to be warm and humid for today. >> justin: danny, thanks. breaking news overnight in orange county. that' s where deputies say a 34- year- old was killed in a shooting last night. it happened in a home on east 13th street. the man was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. detectives say they' re now looking for a woman in connection with this. we' ll pass along any updates right here and on clickorlando.com also breaking overnight, we' re working to get more information on the deadly hit

it happened around 11:00 last night near west colonial drive and lexington avenue. we called the florida highway patrol and orlando police, but so far they haven' t responded with details on the driver or the victim. we' ll pass along on any updates as we know more. now to the race for the white house where gop front runner donald trump called off his rally after this. it was complete chaos among supporters and protesters. it comes just days before florida decides who should get here' s craig boswell. >> reporter: protesters clashed with officers and with each other outside the university of illinois after donald trump postponed his rally because of safety concerns. attendance and please go in peace. >> reporter: the crowd of announcement. >> we want trump! >> reporter: fights broke out as people confronted each other. some got violent.

florida highway patrol tells news 6 a mercury saibl was driving southbound near state road a1a and mariners drive attempting to pass the infinity sedan when it struck a ford fusion head on. it caused the ford to hit the infinity sedan that collided with a buick lacrosse also driving northbound. two other people were taken to the hospital in critical condition. the crash is now under investigation. this morning state road 407 is back open after a huge brush fire forced officials to shut down traffic. sky 6 flew over the area near shepherd drive and challenger memorial parkway in titusville yesterday. fire fighters say the fire stretched to more than 35 acres, but this morning it is 100% contained. we' re told cruz is in the overnight hours monitoring the conditions. in orange county we' re working to get more information on the shooting that injured

sky 6 flew over the citgo on orange blossom trail friday afternoon. deputy say witnesses reported multiple shots fired near the citgo and then saw a man injured there. no word on any motive or suspects. now to a dramatic rescue where this morning the orange county man is in the hospital after being bitten by a snake and only news 6 was there as help arrived. this was near taylor treek road in the christmas area. here' s news 6 reporter sachel saunders with more on the scare. >> reporter: we don' t have any word yet on how he' s doing. the piet he received was potentially deadly. he was bit on the thumb by what he believes is a water moccasin. he got too close to the snake. the man was near the wildlife reserve. those deadly snakes live near water and rarely bite humans unless they fill threatened. the bite can cause extreme pain, internal bleeding or lose

police say the boy' s mother leans in and encourages the beating rather than protect her son. in a statement from the arrest form it says in part as the victim cried in extreme fear and pleaded he was sorry, the co- defendant, his mother, told the defendant, his father, to hit him harder. he deserves it. >> sir, you were arrested for child abuse. >> not looking nearly the tough by in bond court yesterdays, he let his lawyer do the talking. >> there has to be significant bruises and welts. there' s no evidence of pain, just embarrassment. it was intended to correct the child who was misbehaving. >> reporter: ironically it happened inside the self- defense karate school and after care in hialeah. the witness said the boy a parents were angry he didn' t do his homework and played instead. while erada hits the boy only once, the judge mindy glazer was concerned. >> i just wonder what happens and how they discipline him when not in public.

kelly is hanging up the space suit. he anounced he' s retiring from nasa. it comes less than 2 weeks after returning to earth from his 340 day space flight. nasa is looking to see how the human body holds up for long periods of time and space. his results are being compared to his twin bother mark, a retired astronaut. kelly will continue to participate in the research. on facebook kelly wrote he is, quote, humbled and excited by new opportunities for him to support and share the amazing work nasa is doing to help us travel farther into the solar system and work with the next generation of science and technology leaders. he went on to say he looks forward to continuing his 30 years of public service in a new role. check this out. despite having double the amount of claw meat, it' s a lobster that will never see the dinner table. this lobster has not 1, 2or thirty- two but 4 claws. it' s from nova scotia but

sky 6 was over the home on doris avenue yesterday. this is in the tevaries area. police tell us carl laifrj admitted shooting and killing his girlfriend of 25 years, rosemary dets, he also told police he planned to kill himself as part of a pact he made with her. officers say they prevented lang from getting the gun on the nearby table. the investigation is ongoing. and new information on the attack at universal inside islands of adventure. we first brought you this story back in january. they say this new year' s day attack was an act of retaliation. jennifer ortega gives you a closer look at the wild retaliation. >> reporter: police say frederick torres was fired from his job inside the park just a dafr before he chased down his - - day before he chased down his boss and stabbed him with a pair of scissors. [ screaming ] those are the screams of one terrified worker.

guards pulling 33- year- old frederick torres off his bloody and battered boss glen ferguson. just minutes after he was fired at islands of adventures back on new year' s day. investigators say the former contract caricature artist threatened that if he was fired he would kill one of his co- workers. despite being fired the day before, he still showed up for work. here he is getting his bag checked at the front of the it shows torres chasing his boss up and down the screen. clips from multiple camera angles shows the chase for several minutes before torres catches up to ferguson. park guests captured the fight on camera telling police they saw torres lunge and swing at ferguson and at some point stabbing him several times. the video continues to show

torres being held back by guards while ferguson walks away frantically holding his head. the bloody scissors taken into evidence for the emergency stab wounds. and since the incident torres behind bars facing first degree murder and is set to appear in court in april. in orlando, jennifer ortega, news 6. >> reporter: happening today paying final respects to the 6- year- old sanford girl killed in the accidental shooting. police say aleatha burke shot and killed herself last week with the gun she found under a couch cushion. her uncle and convicted felon eric williams was supposed to be baby sitting aleatha. he was arrested and since posted bond. he faces multiple charges including child neglect and unsafe storage of a firearm. the funeral is set for later this afternoon. for the past week harley' s have taken over the streets of

despite being fired the day before, torres still showed up for work. here he is getting his bag checked at the entrance. surveillance video shows torres chasing his boss up and down the screen. the clips shows the chase for several minutes before torres catches up to ferguson. they saw torres lunge and ferguson and at some point stabbing him several times. the video continues to show security separating the two. torres held back by guards while ferguson walks away frantically holding his bdhead. they took the bloody scisors into evidence and into emergency surgery for stan wounds. >> and all right. for the past week they soon may
