another ends his bid for the white house. we have results for you in election 2016. >> a man shots and kills a dog. now the search is on for those suspects. i'm bridgett ellison. >> i'm david hall. troy and amy are here. >> good morning. >> good morning. things are unfolding nicely. troy and i are pinpointing an issue. >> fog is the issue out there this morning, especially in brevard county. visibilities down to a quarter of a mile or less as predicted. we knew this would happen. it will likely get worse as we head closer to 7:00, 8:00 this morning. let me show you visibilities. there's melbourne, brevard county, mainly central and southern brevard county seeing the worst of the fog. in these areas like melbourne and palm bay. many areas are looking ok but there are patches of fog to deal with.

we'll remain there as we head into 8:00 this morning. look at warmup as we help you plan the day. no rain, staying dry with a mix of sun and clouds. up to 85 at noon. we tied the record yesterday of 89 in daytona beach, set in 1921. today close to records. rain chances for tomorrow straight ahead. let's check on the roads with amy in the napleton traffic center watching for fog on those cameras. >> absolutely. >> first, i want to pass along and hopefully this will be clearing out shortly. we have police activity taking out the left lane. this happening by 429. no delay getting past. use caution getting through the area. speaking of the fog. in palm bay, you can see it camped oat over i-95. plenty of caution necessary

fog lights on, drop the speeds down to be safe. that is your check on traffic right now. david and bridgett, back to you. >> we are covering breaking news from overnight in orlando. two gunmen storm in an apartment and rob a person inside and shot and kill a dog. officers tell news 6 the victim suffered minor injuries after one of the gunmen hit had the in the head with a gun. the suspects were last seen driving a 2004 silver mercedes with florida tag 479-mfe. if you know something, call police in orlando. >> to results in 2016, it is over for marco rubio. he dropped out of the race last night. >> it comes after another big night for domed trump. trump dominated the race in the sunshine state, taking home 47% 27%.

we'll have great victories for our country. thank you. >> trump also said he is enjoying this. he says he is having fun and he was gracious about congratulating marco rubio, he says, for running a tough campaign. campaign. >> as for rubio he congratulated trump while announcing his run for the white house was over. >> marco rubio concession seech last night was a big disappointment to the hundreds of people who crowded the sports arena. rubio layered that with a little bit of hope and alluded to the fact that his work wasn't over. still, that disappointment was big. look at one woman standing next to our camera. she had to wipe tears away as she heard the news that marco rubio was bowing out of the presidential race. she wasn't alone. when rubio announced he was

was an audible gasp that took over the room. that is when rubio stepped up his message of hope, hope his message had been heard and he may have made a difference in the republican race for president. >> the fact that i have come that far is evidence of how special america is. all the reason more why we must do what we can to make sure this nation remains a special place. i ask that people do not give into the fear, do not give in to the frustration. >> what is next for rubio? many analysts are predicting that rubio may make a run for the governor's mansion in the next couple of years and that would catapult him to the national spotlight but last night he spent the night with his wife and children. that's where he'll wake up this morning. we are in west miami. >> as for the democrats, it was a runaway win for hillary

she took home 64% of the vote, easily beating bernie sanders. clinton has been declared the winner in five states with missouri too close to call. so we want to go back to mark lehman. he has been going over all the returns, breaking down all those numbers. it wasn't close in florida. >> not close at all. the early poll numbers hold up. donald trump had 46% of the vote. how that breaks down throughout florida. the only county that senator marco rubio took was his home county. that's where he came away with 62.7% of the vote. every other county in florida went to donald trump. that holds true in central florida as well. in orange county, trump took nearly 40% of the vote. similar results in seminole county where trump came away with 41.6%. in volusia county, donald trump came away with 50% of the vote. on the democratic side, it was

early poll numbers showed her yesterday. she not only met that, she surpassed it. clinton coming away with 64.5% with bernie sanders 33%. when we look county by county. sanders got a few counties in the panhandle. everywhere else went to clinton. hillary got 60% of the vote and in osceola county, she got nearly 70% of the vote. these results give her campaign a big boost going forward, heading into the convention later this year. >> let's take a look at the delegates. had to be baying night for trump and clinton as well. as you know, florida was a winner take all state. donald trump got all 99 delegates. that gives him 621 to ted cruz at 396. on the democratic side, hillary clinton has a huge lead at more

just consumed in flames. this fiber was seen for miles away. the smoke was picked up on weather radar. the estate was once owned by usa owner al newheart who recently passed away. the pumpkin center sold as the most expensive home in brevard county and is now considered at least a $5 million loss. people were all gathered here on the street last night. they tell us it was a landmark they hope to restore. >> it is more real than you see in the movies and everything. >> i used to walk by every day when i lived on second street. i used to walk the beach every day. walked right past here. >> the fire chief tells us the home was believed to be empty and under renovation. they do not believe there was anyone inside at the time of the fire. we'll continue to check with

another update in 30 minutes. >> thank you. >> drivers along i-5 are being warned to be careful after a brush fire ignites. the fire started near maytown road. so far firefighters say it burned about 30 acres. right now, there are no plans to close the interstate but crews say they are keeping a close watch on those conditions this morning. >> we are talking about fog. time to get to troy bridges in the pinpoint weather center. >> we can use rain to help out with fire. we have moisture in the atmosphere in the form of fog reducing visibility already at this hour. it will likely be worse through 7:00, 8:00. there is a weather alert as there is dense fog right now in southern brevard county from melbourne down to a quarter of a mile or less. many other spots looking ok. we'll be watching for more reduced visibilities. we are at 68 in orlando. 66 in ocala. daytona beach at 67. a mild start, a hot afternoon.

>> the u.s. announced they are easing traveling restrictions with the communist nation. the new rules means americans will be able to visit cuba on their own for education purposes instead of with tour groups. it will allow cuban citizens to earn american dollars in the united states. the changes come days before president obama's planned trip to cuba, making him the first american president to do so in 88 years. >> a 10-year-old woman who became famous after dancing with the president in mrs. obama is showing off her moves with basketball. >> look at her go. >> she had the chance to hang out with the harlem globe trotters.

also daytona beach today will warm to 86. the record is 90. we could get close to records. it will be hot. warm and humid to start. you'll moit notice the muggy air, it is translating to fog. there are the villages, right now visibility is down to a half mile. visibility down to a quarter of a mile or less in southern brevard county. add some time so you can get there safely and on time this morning. it is 68 in orlando and in melbourne. 66 in ocala. 70 in the villages. starting out in daytona beach right now at 67 degrees. a mimed start. we'll talk about hour by hour how hot it will get with your forecast. as we take you through the pinpoint accurate forecast, here are windows into the future. at noon, up to 85 degrees with a

with a few clouds. by 4:00, all the way up to 89 degrees. average high is 78. we are well above that in many spots today. at 9:00 tonight, as late as that hour, we are near 80 degrees. a warm night, a muggy night in store. we'll see clouds on and off through the day. no rain in the forecast. early in the morning tomorrow, there's midnight, we'll see a chance for more fog developing. after midnight into the early morning drive time tomorrow, we'll watch it closely, with low level moisture in place. 87 the high in the villages. 85 in ocala. we warm to 86 in daytona beach. 88 in sanford. 90 in kissimmee. inland areas seeing the hottest of the temperatures. inland expect temperatures in the 80's. heading to the beach t rip current risk will be low. 30% chance for rain tomorrow.

killed, his car stolen. what polic e are doing to track those suspects right now. >> a mansion goes up in flames. we are live at that scene showing you the work going on to figure out what started that huge fire fire. >> thank you for joining us so early. how is it going? >> good morning. i have a couple of things to pass along. >> dealing with fog. we are pinpointing fog across central florida, reduced visibilities. this won't last all morning. after 10:00, things look better. it could get worse after 7:00, 8:00. we are seeing more reduced visibility in parts of volusia county and in flagler county. both areas in palm coast as well as daytona beach seeing visibilities down to a half mile or less. watch out there. also brevard county, visibilities down to a quarter mile.
