the rain on the way for the bengals game. round one in some areas. it is starting to finally move out. we have been dealing with rain all morning long. you can see most of it is moving off towards the north and east. and you can see what it is doing in terms of cloud cover. we'll show our tower cam a little bit later on into the newscast and you can see completely gray. you can see paul brown stadium there in the background. 46 degrees. we'll continue to see spotty showers, at least through early afternoon and then very isolated later on. much drier for the evening commute than the morning commute. winds still coming out of the south around 8:00. we're still going to be warm. lots of warm air coming out ahead of this storm system. this is the first storm system we're getting now. you can see the spin here over northern missouri. that's going to continue to move away from us. what we're watching is still well into the

he's charged in connection to a fatal hit and run that happened in early december on dorchester. catherine mayfield was running the seven hills race, she was on the sidewalk and hit by a car. the person driving the car took the plates off the car and then ran away. police have been looking for him and they arrested him this morning. as we get more information about the arrest, we'll pass that on to you. >> terrorism arrest, iraqi

>> wet and slick roads went to a lot of problems on roads earlier today. this is the out in madison township. inspectors are making sure the house is still stable. officers had to close 122 until salt can be put down. we don't have sensors under all of the roads in the tri-state, but all of the ones that we did have that were well above freezing on the roads. you get these slick spots like this, it was really kind of a surprise this morning. >> when i woke up this morning, i looked at the temperatures and they were right around 3 1, 32. so when we have those late showers moving in. it was isolated. a look at current pavement

freezing, they were well above freezing this morning. we don't have sensors on every single right out there. we're not dealing with the black ice anymore and temperatures have been rising ever since this morning. up near sabina temperatures right around 38 degrees. the last of the 30s really hanging on. look down towards carrollton in northern kentucky, they are close to 50. 46 towards vevay. surely by saturday, for bengals day, we'll be into the middle 50s in some areas. precision doppler 12 hd, we have the rainfall starting to push out of downtown. if you're travelling on the interstates and going up i-75 or 71. up towards columbus.

of northern kentucky. the only county seeing most of the rain is bracken. we're looking okay as we go into the evening, isolated showers. certainly not nearly as widespread as what we seen around this morning. you can see on the atrium medical center weather camera, how low the clouds are. it is not broken, just up in the clouds. every once in a while, you can see hints of the ground zoomed in. the clouds covering it up. 51 degrees will be our high temperature. and then it falls ever so slowly. it is going to be a mild night. temperatures right around 48. down to 47. we may make it into the middle 40s, that's about it.

was overnight last night when we made it into the 30s. this is the back edge of it. clouds start to thin out behind overcast. this is where the center of the low pressure is. you can see it moving across northern missouri and eventually over towards northern illinois. it is not even really developed too much yet. it is over new mexico. all of that will push up into the low pressure system. right over top of us. it is not only going to bring the rain for the bengals game, but also as we go into, especially sunday, it could change over to some snowflakes, believe it or not. round two is on the way. on our hour-by-hour forecast it is going to stick into the evening hours. 52 in st. louis. warmer in st. louis than it is moving on this. hour by hour, a couple of spotty

it is hit and miss. heavier rain moves in late saturday afternoon. so saturday morning, and even early afternoon is looking okay. around 8:00, 9:00, that's when the heaviest of the rain begins to push on through. on sunday, there's that transition to some snow. we could see around an inch or less of snow accumulation. those are the situations where we change from rain to snow that can be very, very tricky, that's something you'll want to stay tuned and take a close look at the forecast, as not only we go throughout the weekend, but especially there on sunday morning when we see the changeover, the roads could be
