>> flurries are coming to an end. clouds will be decreasing overnight, setting the stage for a very cold start monday. we have that and snow to track in the near future, coming up. one person is killed, another wounded while sitting in a car. tonight, what police say they know about the shooting outside a convenience store. and if you're still not exactly sure what you saw during the bengals game last night, you're not alone. we'll take you through and share who's getting the blame on social media. good evening. i'm paula totey. after the snow we saw earlier today, we are in for a freezing cold night and a very cold start for the morning commute. windchills for some will be

we already have school closings and delays coming into the local 12 newsroom, and you can see that list at local12.com. let's get right to scott with no wait weather. we also have it scrolling at the bottom the screen, too. >> yeah, i expect a lot of the delays and cancellations are due to the cold early tomorrow morning. windchills hovering around 0 or snow from earlier today leading to snow covered or slick roads at this hour. and those road conditions on secondary roads are probably not going to improve of overnight. i have air temperatures dropping down between 5 and 10 degrees, come early tomorrow morning. industrial clouds and some flurries to the east of cincinnati right now. but everyone will be clear overnight and then tomorrow we'll gradually warm from 5 to 10 degrees above 0, back up through the teens late in the morning, and eventually we're up into the low and mid-20s. we'll start tomorrow with a clear to mostly clear sky and then clouds will increase,

afternoons. still have a lot of cloud cover and some flurries. clinton, highland, brown, adams, clermont, kelly, on live doppler radar 12 hd, we have some flurries and will not produce any accumulations on top behalf we saw earlier today. we're down to 12 at the international airport. factor in the wind, feels like 4 below 0. windchills are already below 0 for some and they'll stay below 0 in spots overnight. in addition to the cold, overnight and tomorrow, we have snowshowers coming tuesday. the possibility of some can accumulation before warmer air returns later in the week. we'll discuss how much snow we can expect on tuesday, coming up in a few moments. the highland county sheriff's office is investigating a double shooting that's claimed the life of one man in mount healthy. local 12's brad underwood joins us live from the university's medical center where the other shooting victim was taken this afternoon. brad. >> well, paula, that man was

this afternoon in serious condition. that has not changed, at least no new update has been provided on his condition. right now detectives, they're relying on a witness and surveillance video, hoping to lead them to the killer. . >> reporter: it was a bloody scene outside the ameri--stop on compton road according to police. a man walked up to the red pontiac and started shooting into the car, injurying one man and killing another. a third man was uninjured in the shooting. >> we know the person ran over into this area, whether he got into another vehicle and left or what exactly occurred still remains to be determined. >> a perimeter was briefly set up around the corner from the food mart, but the suspect wasn't counseled. >> we don't believe that they pose a threat at this point in time, we think it was directly related to those three individuals in that vehicle. but we have a guy with a gun running around, that's obviously not scared to use it. and so that is of can concern to us, and we definitely want to

as quickly as we can. >> reporter: the man from cincinnati works are often called the homicide scenes posing to provide comfort to those grieving. this time they were nearby when the shooting can occurred. >> lately trying to get into some of these houses where there's most likely to be a shooting at and spread the resources to a lot of people, from different areas of the city. but it's joust sad, man, that we was at a vigil up in college hill and got the call about the shooting over here. a third man was in the vehicle uninjured and taken into can custody by mount healthy police to be questioned, to see if he could provide any sort of information to lead them to the killer. at the moment, it's healthy has turned over the homicide investigation to the hamilton county sheriff's office. reporting live tonight outside the university of cincinnati medical center, brad underwood, local 12 news. and if you have any information about the homicide,

crimestoppers. that number is 352-3040. last night's bengals game against the steelers was ugly, it brought many people's emotions to a broiling point both on and off the field. at least six arrests were made at paul brown stadium. take a look. according to court documents, 33-year-old martin cook hit another man. the germantown kentucky man is also accused of exposing himself and urinating on another person in public. 25-year-old david grillo faces a misdemeanor assault charge. court documents indicate officers saw the pennsylvania man throw a beer can into the stands and hit a man in the forehead, causing a cut. 29-year-old phillip gruff is accused of head-butting a person in the face during the game. 20-year-old tyler matthews is accused of hoytting a man in the face. the indiana man was arrested at

misdemeanor assault charge. 28-year-old andrew robeis is accused of hitting someone in the head. court documents say officers were escorting the allentown pennsylvania man out of the game when he hit a woman in the head. and 19-year-old jerry mccarty of reading faces a number of misdemeanor charges. he is accused of underaged drinking, showing police a fake id and hitting a woman in the face and then taking her bengals' ball cap. as we said during the game, emotions running high both in the stands and down on the field. the heated match-up seemed to get the best of some of the players and coaches from both sides. local 12's brad spike iny joins us now with a look at this heart-breaker. >> yeah, it's been 25 years since the bengals have tasted victory in the play-offs and now their fans will have to wait even longer. last night an emotional swing from elation to despair as the bengals self-destructed in the game's final 2 minutes. 18-16, the final to the

new tonight, a well-known activist from cincinnati will attend the state of the union address this week. jim obergafel will be a guest in the first lady's box at speech. he made the case that ultimately decided same-sex couples across the country have the constitutional right to marry. the white house says the guest was invited to the president's final state of the union and represents the progress made since the president's first address seven years ago. loved ones hold a vigil for a local businessman who was shot and killed last week. joe leech owned leech brothers automotive in north college hill. he was shot there last night during a robbery. he died a few days later. supporters showed up at the shop today and lit candles. organizers say they knew the community would appreciate a chance to honor leech. >> all you have to do is look around and see what kind of guy he was.

shirt off his back to anyone, anyone in need. he was there for, just love pouring in and out of the man. >> leech's kill here not been caught. police have not released a detailed description. if you know anything, you're asked to can call crimestoppers, 352-3040. new information out, police in philadelphia are investigating a tip that members of a radical group may pose a threat to officers. that's following an ambush of a parole man in his cruiser last week. the officer and suspect were wounded. police are working with the fbi to investigate the cent of the tip. they have also alerted all department personnel about it. and the occupation of a wildlife refuge oregon is entering its second week. a small armed group is upset over federal land policies. the group's leader has repeatedly rejected calls to leave buildings at the refuge. that's despite pleas from the county sheriff and many local residents and oregon's governor, among others.

as 3 or 4 above 0. again, these are forecast temperatures. the windchill will be below 0 at times overnight and early tomorrow. the windchills between sunrise and sunset will be likely in the single digits and in the teens. but notice clouds increase and we eventually push the tomorrow. every degree counts when you're this cold. the adrian medical center tonight in oxford shows it's chilly in butler county. temperature 11. very dry air as suggested by a dewpoint of 5. wind there sustained at 8 miles per hour. so it feels the a lot colder than the temperature would suggest. wind very light atop the radisson on the atrium medical center cam. some spots already have a windchill or feels-like temperature below 0. we're very cold overnight with a clear sky overhead. especially between 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.

high-level clouds during the morning tomorrow, even more clouds arrive near and after lunch. so clouds increase gradually monday. and eventually we push the temperature up into the low and mid-20s. and then our attention turns to snowshowers and the potential for accumulation once we get into the backend of monday night and early tuesday. laurel is down to 9 degrees. ... air temperature now 12 in cincinnati. that's 37 degrees colder than it was at 11:00 last night, and temperatures will likely settle down between 5 and 10 degrees by the time you send the kids on to the bus early tomorrow morning. and the windchill will likely be in the single digits, if not below 0 at times.

so we still have clouds. we still have flurries, favoring the eastern part of the tristate. notice the flurries here on live precision doppler 12 hd, no distinct connection between the two different bands of snow, extending far from the eastern edge of the 275 loop close to williamsburgh. some of the snow is struggling to reach the ground. don't expect any accumulation there. next opportunity for accumulation will come late monday night. notice on the forecast model, high pressure keeps us clear and cold overnight and keeps cloud cover to a minimum early tomorrow, but notice late in the day, clouds increase -- are increasing and thickening, and snow chances arrive, especially after midnight, all you see there is white. snowshowers, snow that will start and stop and still be favored early tuesday, but there will likely be snowshowers continuing through the lunch hour. gradually that disturbance pulls

back down into the teens come early wednesday morning. so the threat level for cold overnight and some second satisfactory snow has the potential. so windchills and temperatures below 0, single digits, main concern overnight at this point, an inch, perhaps a bit more, an inch and a quarter, 1 1/2, main focus for tuesday, of course, lower visibilities and a burst of snow as well. 8 is the forecast overnight low in cincinnati. valley locations, areas west of convince internet will be 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 degrees. 25 is the forecast high tomorrow. if you're sick of the cold already, we warm up as we get into the weekend but we have to jump through a couple of hoops before then. cold tomorrow with increasing clouds. warmer, windy, snowshowers tuesday and back to cold wednesday. and then we finally start to warm up and just track rain to start the weekend.

the steelers, the bengals had a ball and lead to end the 25-year play-off drought and then it all fell apart. quite possibly the most heart-breaking loss in bengals play-off history. defensive teammates headed to the tunnel in the locker room and that was the scene. there was still lots of football left to go. bengals just needed to get a first down to wrap up this game. giving it to jeremy hill and it the steelers rip the ball out and they were there to recover on the 9-yard line. ben roethlisberger drove them
