honor. local 12's brad underwood brings us a look at the tribute. >> reporter: with just the noise of the streets and the wind, they number many but ride as one. in groups of 25, they follow the jeep carrying mike michael's ghost bike. >> this is a sorrowful day. >> reporter: within an hour of the crash, news of prader's condition spread. steve, a cyclist and bike attorney, said being hit is a cyclist's worst fear. >> you do everything you can and most of the people ride a lot. they are used to being on the ride and mixing it up with cars. when you have someone who is so obliveious to what's going on, they are drive down the road with a paper road on their head. >> reporter: prader died a day after hing hit. he was -- being hit.

bringing up the rear of the half-mile line of riders is the rei family. >> if it were any other person in this area, i would be out there doing the same thing. everyone would be. >> reporter: der rick and prader derick and this man didn't know each other but shared the same thing. it was here that all of the cyclists gathers for a wreef brief ceremony. after the brief service close friends and family then permanently placed prader's ghost bike at the crash site. in anderston township, brad underwood, local 12 news. >> and investigators say prader was doing everything right white ride iing i

at the moment, the driving the vehicle hit prader was under the influence of prescription drugs. police have identified the man hit 0 on dixie highway about 7:15 this morning. as megan moore reports, the road was blocked off for several hours. >> reporter: a sad scene out here on dixie highway near covington catholic hip after a man was hit by a car and died this morning. police were called out near the intersection of dixie and st. joseph lane where the man was hit. when they got here, they say witnesses were trying to give first aid. when they arrived, the man was pronounced dead. they had to block off dixie highway for several hours while they investigate and we're told the driver of the car stayed on scene after it happened and was fully cooperative with police. the driver was then taken to the

minor hand injury. police say the victim was not crossing in a crosswalk when he was hit and this happened near a bus stop. now, neighbors say there is a lot of foot traffic in the area and a lot of people who use the bus line, one woman said it's a sad situation all around. >> when i asked the policeman -- the first thing i asked was it an accident, a crime or -- just out of concern, and he said well, the driver is at the hospital. but that kind of told me at least the driver stopped and was more mentally, emotionally shaken up. it's unfortunate for the victim and it's sad. >> reporter: the speed limit is 35 through here and police say this is the first time a pedestrian has been hit in this area in a long time. in park hills megan moore, local 12 news. >> and the driver is not charges. no sign of a missing woman after teams met up to search for her. tara turner has not been seen

the 31-year-old is from pen pendelton county but the sheriff's department said she was heading to campbell county. searchers came together at the california marketplace. turner was a regular customer there. that's where her brother said she was posed supposed to have been dropped off. but investigators say she's not seen on the store cameras. >> i just hope and pray she's all right. she's a small, petite girl. she's able to handle her own, but we're missing her. scared. hoping for the best, kind of expecting the worst now that it's been six days, you know, so -- >> and right now investigators say there are no signs of foul play. if you know anything about where turner might be call pendelton couch dispatch. and new tonight, south korea

another 200 floor seats. it has state of state-of-the-art sounds and video times. after the open house, the orchestra performed. future inventers and engineers converged on northern kentucky university campus today. more than 450 students took parent in a state robotics championship. 48 teams of students ages 9 to 14 completed. this year's team was trash trek. the students explored the world of trash collection, sorting and reusing by building and programming a robot. they also identified a problem, then worked to develop a solution for it. well, the weather today wasn't exactly warm but beguess it could have been worse for a polar plunge. hundreds took part in the annual event at joe's crack shack in bellview. more than 800 people dressed up and then jumped into a fridgeit pool.

disturbance moves out. another one drops in monday. that will give us rain and snowshowers mixed together. possibly snow squalls. heavier bursts of snow that reduced to visibility, that's a concern monday and tuesday. 35 the temperature now. sycamore high school, 35 degrees. windchills are in the 20s and 30s. we'll take 33 now at the cincinnati northern kentucky international airport down to 28 degrees overnight. highs tomorrow will be around 50. and we're calm and quiet for the rest of the weekend with the exception being the second half of tomorrow evening. showers will develop. so if you are going to a party, going to any kind of event, late tomorrow afternoon, tomorrow night, clouds will be increasing and then once we get into the evening, showers will start to show up on live precision doppler hd. not everyone will see a shower. snowshowers on monday. snowshowers on tuesday and scattered snowshowers on wednesday.
