there are some flurries, clermont, brown county, some flurries, near, east of wilmington. also south of mason county. snow showers along and to the north of interstate 70 that will be dropping to the southeast gradually this afternoon. >> temperature now 25 at the international airport. vb vb -- beebe at 27. some have wind chills around or just 20 degrees. visibles being reduced with some bursts of snow. weekend. snow in the forecast on sunday and also into monday. we'll track that and discuss the potential for accumulation and more waves of snow in the forecast in ten minutes.

>> he will then host a rally at afternoon. the rally begins at 3:00 and local 12 will have it covered for you. cincinnati firefighters went to laurel in heartwell just after 6:30 this morning. there was some sort of explosion. he was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and investigators are still trying to figure out what exactly exploded. a police officer arresting serial robbery suspect prince. actually supposed to be off work today. but he came in to talk about the spree of bank robberies. he stopped by the car wash to check his laptop, that's when he says he saw prince stop. >> police say right now prince

and he's a suspect in two more. his alleged spree started monday morning and ended yesterday. here how the investigation all came together in police work. police in columbus are trying to figure out the motive and attack. >> witnesses say a man with a machete went on a rampage inside the restaurant just randomly attacking people and a total of four people were hurt. the man visited the restaurant and then talked with an employee and left and came back with his weapon a half hour later. what diners witnessed inside that restaurant was horrifying. >> there was a man on the floor bleeding. there was blood on the floor. it was awful, carnage. >> i fell like five times. my legs were like jelly. i thought he was going to come by me and slash me up. >> police shot and killed that man after a brief car chase. it appears this was just a random attack. two victims are in stable condition, one was transported in critical and the other victim

a man who police say tried to cut off a woman's head with a sword made his first court appearance today. locked up in the detention center right now. phillips attacked the woman at a home on holman avenue. she told police he swung the sword in the neck and it hit his shoulder. police arrested phillips at his mother's home in lexington earlier this week. he's charged with assault and attempted murder. a judge ordered him held on $100,000 bond. >> today is the first friday of lent. there are dozens all around the tri-state. there's one for a little girl fighting the battle of her life. 4:30 to 8:00 today. each week organizers will sell raffle tickets for items donated by local businesses. money from the sale of the

>> cold weather, lots of water, that's what happens. >> reporter: it blends in with the snow, doesn't it? here at home, we're watching as flurries and snow showers come through. a burst of snow showers come through the 275 loop. that burst of snow has moved out. there are more flurries and snow showers developing in the northern part of the ohio valley moving to the southeast. so after some clearing early this afternoon, snow showers and possibly snow squalls, heavier bursts of snow that reduce the visibility dramatically, perhaps under a mile at times, beginning later on this afternoon, continuing through this evening. most just see snow showers, at least some reduction in the visibility. some big drops are possible, not likely but possible later today. >> track flurries and snow showers on local 12's the

cloudy skies, bursts of snow. showers. along and to the east of interstate 75 right now. we'll take 27 now in cincinnati. up maybe a degree or two through the afternoon. the temperature will likely fluctuate as bursts of snow come through. flurries, some snow showers, east of cincinnati now. notice more moisture coming off of lake michigan in the form of clouds, snow showers and flurries. this is all we have left of that burst of snow that came through cincinnati a couple of hours ago. still some flurries, owensville, back through the panhandle of brown county and close to hillsboro. these are dying out in a hurry. we're not done yet. more splotches of blue showing up late this afternoon and early this evening. this is a concern for the late afternoon commute. not everyone is going to see a snow shower or snow squall. visibility is dropping rapidly
