>> not sure on the victims, there were several of them down at the cafeteria. staff was attending to them. >> you can hear how quickly authorities communicated with unfolded. this is just moments after we're told james austin hancock walked into the cafeteria and began firing. i want to play a few excerpts from the fire department's transmission and how they heard things transpire. >> the patients are down here in the school cafeteria here. >> care flight or helicopter number two? >> let's go with air care. i think they will be closer. >> gun shot to the abdomen. small caliber. the patient is stable at this time. we got two helicopters en route. they are probably going to get here close to the time you are.

that student now faces serious disciplinary measures. police were at the school this morning and the incident is still under investigation. we're told the threat was verbal. the student in question instead of a general threat. the school district has been well. >> we recognized the heightened awareness given the news of the week. we are carefully communicating with our parents, we have done our best to keep them updated throughout the morning and we will continue to do so. we do have police presence on campus throughout the day. safety and security is our utmost priority and will continue to be throughout the community. >> despite the timing of this, the incident is not considered a copycat. when they call it serious, that usually means expulsion. no word yet on criminal charges.

information about a recent homicide investigation. 21-year-old whitehead is the man who died in a fiery crash on saturday. it happened at mchenry avenue near fare fairmount. police are calling the crash a homicide but have not said anything about a possible suspect. if you have any information call crime stoppers, remember, you can earn a cash reward and you never have to give your name. >> two people were hurt early this morning. an suv and a car collided on campbell road near west road about 6:15 this morning. both drivers were trapped in their vehicles and emergency crews had to cut them out. we were able to make access. she was trapped up underneath the dash a little bit. we had to use power tools to
