live with the latest. fill us in. >> unfortunately, nothing really new. no action out here in the ohio river. no boats, no divers. the only thing we did see, up above the bridge. crews are out there to repair the damage. we took a drive by and saw a couple of vans and worker, rook looking at the concrete area. it started yesterday afternoon, 4:30, with the chain reaction crash involving four vehicles. somehow a car came flying through the air and plunged into the river below. how it managed to happen is still a big question? the campbell county police chief, looking to reconstruct the accident scene. we don't know who was in the vehicle, if it was one person, more than one person. the divers not get back into the water. we're hearing sunday, possibly into monday.

you could see behind me, the ohio river is moving at a fast pace. they don't want to risk injuried to divers, submerging in the car. >> megan, thanks very much. police said they have gotten a little bit of information about the car. it may be a pontiac grand prix or similar model. yesterday, we believe it was an suv. they believe it was red. they are asking if they have any information, that could help them, if you have any family or friends that may have been in the area, would are missing, to give them a call. in other words, polar bear causes excitement when she escapes closure. >> and the zoo manager, at no time, visitors at any danger. it took about two hours, to get back into the closure. managers say the bear got out of the primary holding area around

prompted a local federal judge to order the polls to stay open for an extra hour. joe webb joins us from the situation and joins us from the newsroom on what he found out. >> judge susan delot ordered the polls to stay open. delot said she called the secretary of state's office and assistant attorney jen on duty said they needed a court order. lot dictated the order over the phone to a clerk. it was time stamped at 7:21 secretary of state has a different story. husted got an order to keep the polls open until 8:30. that call came in at 7:32, two minutes after the polls closed. hamilton county got a notification at 8:01 to stay open.

we have the worst childhood poverty in the country. >> then and now, we're digging for answers, the facts. some of the reports have led to reasons for hope. others led to further questions. over the next few months, local 12 will look at the route causes and potential solutions to childhood poverty. we're not looking for a band-aid and don't promise easy answers. that obviously doesn't work. that's our goal. we set out to review the progress or lack there of. 1964 local documentary on the project student featured, willy grimes, worked his way out of poverty. >> it's about you. your determination to make your life better. if you don't want to do that, you can't make the excuse of environment. that's a choice. you choose that. i refuse to do choose that.

the win is temporarily up. i suspect it will be kicking up in the next few hours. 62, the current temperature in the national airport. mazeville, 65. harrisville, 63. sustained winds now center between 13 and 23 miles an hour. we've had gusts in the 35-40 miles an hour range earlier today. we had the higher gusts. hamilton at 33. winds will die down in the next few hours. we'll have winds sustained between 5-15 miles an hour, in the evening and overnight, with high to mid level clouds coming through. we'll take 62 in cincinnati, down to 40-45, early tomorrow morning. that's close to average. it's noticeably colder than we've been for the last couple of mornings, last couple of weeks. we've not seen temperatures close to average sometime this

note the disturbance, producing rain at least on radar. while there may be returns on the precision doppler hd, later on tonight, it's going to battle it out with dry air. dryer air is going to win. if you go to local12.com, live local news at 11:00. you may find some returns. that's rain that is not reaching the ground because we have so much dry air, on the wave of low pressure. it gave us widely scattered showers and thunderstorms late last month. late this evening, early in the overnight, nice quiet start to tomorrow. this model wants to give us showers on thursday. we'll leave those out. i believe we're mostly sunny, perhaps a touch more of cloud cover in the afternoon. once we get closer to the weekend, better up level support
