this is just heartbreaking. a indiana principal is killed by a school bus. not before pushing kids out of the way. >> that's coming up in the morning news feed. >> the families are grateful she's there. authorities are not sure what made a bus jump curb, killing principal jordan and injuring kids. witnesses saw jordan push several students out of the way before the bus hit her. the long time principal is being remembered for her dedication and compages. classes are canceled today. the agency is adding the virgin islands and dominican republic to the places with the outbreak. they're recommending pregnant women postpone any trip. it's caused by bites by

it is 5:30. topping the morning rush this morning. breaking news out of elyria. firefighters battled a house fire on 11th street. this shows the home engulfed in flames. we know two people were rescued from their home along with their dog. it's unclear what caused that fire. >> and developing news, a house explosion happened on beaver street in newcomerstown. one person is dead. family members and neighbors say it's the homeowner. the house is reported to be near a school.

canceled classes this morning morning. two neighboring homes were damaged. six cleveland police officers were fired for the deadly 2012 chase that left two unarmed people dead. michael breelow was among those fired. he's the officer acquitted for manslaughter in his role in the shooting. the police union has filed grievances to try to get the officers their jobs back. the city has 20 days to reply. alyssa? >> reporter: good morning. we're on huron road right by the q. later this spring, a buffalo wild wings will be opening in this space, and there's a little room leftover that the owners plan to rent out. it's expected to be turned into a tapas lounge. other buildings downtown keep getting converted into apartments. the ymca and cleveland athletic club will also provide the

were deticketted in the water. two of the 123 samples it took tested high for lead. the director is calling for a criminal investigator, saying the local plant operator failed to notify the public about the situation. prosecutors say lewis dell dellerly pled guilty to the death of his baby daughter. he was home alone with his 4- month-old daughter when he called 911 to report her not breathing. the baby had several broken ribs and died from a chest compression that caused her not to be able to breathe. he pled guilty to involuntary manslaughter. a police officer is on the other side of the law, accused of trying to run over a man earlier this week. officer shawnna van zandt was

high school. she's in jail. it was said she also tried to run him over with her car. tuko arrived in northeast ohio with his new partner officer ryan davis. he lost his partner jethro earlier this month. when canines for cops heard about jethro, they stepped in and donated a dog to davis. he got to travel to houston to make the final choice himself. >> i would have been comfortable with any of the three, but tuko separated himself and stood out. >> pretty much. a lot of excitement. reason to smile again. >> officer davis says tuko will keep his name for now, but after he's introduced to his a new name. a dog sent to a vet to be euthanized because the owner

they rescued whiz. he was placed in a foster home and hopes to find his retirement home. social media is full of outrage is what the shelter called several people have been camp in seattle. at least two people are dead. three are wounded. that area where the shootings happened is known in the seattle area as the jungle. the mayor was in the middle of the speech about seattle's homeless when he was told about the shooting. he left the speech to go to the scene. a small oregon community, one person is dead after a shootout involving law enforcement. the fbi says it was trying to arrest members of an armed group that occupied a wildlife refuge in oregon. police say the group's leader is among those arrested. no officers were hurt. the person killed was the

even though they've had a drop in sales, toyota is still the world's best selling automaker. the 2015 figures were just released yesterday. it was a close one. toyota produced 10.1 million vehicles. volkswagen 9.9 and general motors made 9.8. toyota's reputation took a hit after massive recalls within the past few years. and, get this, oprah winfrey is proving to be a power house for weight watchers. the mogul tweeted she lost 26 pounds while eating bread every day on the diet. after the tweet, shares skyrocketed 20%, closing at 13.29 a share. watcher's stock. so as a result of the increase, she earned $12 million on a single tweet. i think when we saw oprah signed up to give weight watchers that push, that we

out last night. the story said the heat owner said lebron had blatt fired and he tried to pull the same thing with bolstra in miami. is there any truth to it. you can see lebron taking charge of this team. blatt and him did not see eye to eye. he took himself out of games. sitting next to ty lue on the bench and not blatt. they're much closer. this is lebron after the blow out loss to golden state. >> i guess the top teams you want to play well. we haven't done that. we're 0-3 versus the top two teams on the west -- in the west. we have a long way to go to get to a championship level. >> championship level, that 34- point loss to the warriors said a lot about this cavs' basketball team.
