@well, if you were driving @downtown last night. @you may have noticed crowds. @a music arts festival kicks off @in the flats. @we'll see how the up and coming @area continues to surge. @>> we've been at bright for @four years now. @it's really kind of cool to see @it transform. @>> honestly, it's my first time @up here. @>> people new to the flats love @the scenery. @people who have been here @before love the transformation. @>> this is like being in the @woods, and this was years ago. @man, you had nothing over here @but the salt mines, and that @was it. @>> it's a renaissance of the @flats right now. @it used to be a lively place, @and now it is again. @>> just from the year i've @been, they're trying to do a @lot more with this area. @i can see that. @not only that, you can see that @in the face of people that show @up here. @everybody is just a lot more @cleveland based and want to see @everybody get together. @>> grab a bite to eat and a @drink.
6:20 am
@maybe in front of the ice @carving demo. @>> enjoy live music outdoors @and indoors. @and check out artwork. @they haven't always met here. @>> this festival started in the @flats many, many years ago. @we spent time up in the @neighborhoods. @this year we made a decision to @come back down to the flats as @things begin to revitalize and @connect people to the water. @>> john d rockefeller got his @start right here, where we're @standing. @it's cool to see the place lit @up and full of music and think @about the history and all of @the past amazingness of @cleveland and the future @potential. @>> wale aliyu, channel 3 news. @>> it's so cool. @i went to dinner down there and @saw the crowds. @i didn't make it up to the @bands because i couldn't party @that late. @my friends did.
6:21 am
@it was so ironic that it was @bright winter and we were all @joking that we should call it @bright summer. @>> i think we get some of the @most beautiful skies in winter @itself. @clear and crisp, but the @temperatures are taking a @tumble now. @we had the lovely milder @temperatures yesterday. @some areas about 70 degrees. @we were pushing the upper 60s @in a lot of spots. @things have definitely changed. @we're going to be holding on to @clearer skies for the morning @hours. @we'll pull in some of those @clouds, but they're actually @two systems around us. @the one to the south, you can @see here on satellite and radar @with the storms moving through @the southern portions of ohio. @that's sitting cincinnati, @sliding off into virginia and @over to the panhandle of @maryland. @what will affect us, though, is @a cold front that is just up to @the north. @already it is starting to sag @down to the south, bringing in @some of that colder air on the @northerly winds. @right now, we're sitting at 38 @in mansfield.
6:22 am
@definitely going to be a chilly @day today. @be prepared. @the warmth is out of there. @it stays so long and the chilly @summer temperatures will be in @place not only today but moving @into the work week ahead. @we're also tracking @opportunities for pretty big @mid winter storm moving on @through. @i will give you details on that @in just a moment. @right now, we're basically @going to sit in the 30s. @we'll push into the 40s at @noontime, we'll top out around @45 degrees today. @i think the warmer temperatures @will be across our southern @zones and much colder by the @shoreline. @most of us should see close to @the 40-degree mark. @the cloud cover will fill in @near the 6:00 hour. @late in the day, we'll keep it @dry. @mostly cloudy, we'll head back @to work and school, by monday
6:23 am
@plenty of sunshine, much cooler @temperatures. @daytime highs tomorrow will be @on the chilly side. @here's what you need to know to @plan out the rest of your @sunday. @temperatures fairly cool on @those northerly winds with the @alternating breaks of sunshine @and cloud cover throughout the @afternoon. @but we will see a pretty bisque @wind toward the end of the day. @we'll start to see a few gusts @later on in the day. @nothing compared to what we @endured yesterday. @overnight tonight, mostly @cloudy. @we'll definitely see more @colder temperatures on tap as @we move into the weather @nation's 7-day forecast. @by the time we get into the @monday forecast, we struggle to @hit the freezing mark with @plenty of sunshine. @by tuesday and wednesday, @that's when we're tracking the @moisture moving on through. @i think it starts with just a @few late day rain showers on @tuesday. @wednesday the temperatures are @going to be much colder. @as the stronger system moves @through on thursday, we could @see measurable snow.
6:24 am
@for forecast accumulations, but @we're looking at a range of @anywhere from 1-3 inches. @>> mentally, it's hard to shift @from 70 yesterday to 20s on the @7-day forecast. @>> a lot of back and forth. @>> yeah, that's cleveland for @you. @all right. @thanks, olga. @ well, all this month, we're @working to find you the best @fit to get a better job. @this morning the quick way to @current employer. @>> if you walked up to a @perfect stranger and asked them @and told them it was something @about them that you liked -- @>> when you ask people for @help, people feel very @flattered that you're asking @them. @>> will you mentor me? @will you tell me what you had @done? @i want to know. @>> find somebody who is doing @that job and go meet them and @talk to them and find out how @they got to where they are. @>> almost like a sponge. @i still am.

@ @thanks so much for being with @us. @6:30 this sunday morning. @put those shorts away for @another day. @i'm sure you had out spring @like clothing, but it's time to @bundle up again. @those temperatures going back @down. @that's a live look at downtown @cleveland. @sun will be up pretty soon, @but, first, we want to get a @check on the forecast with @olga. @we're going to see such a stark @contrast today. @>> that's right.
6:31 am
@have seen over the last 12 @hours alone. @we do still have mainly a fair @condition, so the client cover @is clear and a few clouds @filtering in through the day. @what a difference in the @temperatures. @two systems are working. @the cold front is well to the @north above the great lakes. @we have the system that's @bringing rain and stormy @situations to the southern tip @of ohio and most of virginia. @for most of us, it's chillingly @cold. @we're starting off in the 30s @this morning. @feeling like the 20s. @winds will be out of the north. @mainly north and northwest for @the remainder of the day. @that means alternating sunshine @and cloud cover as we head into @the afternoon. @temperatures are not going to @budge too much. @most of us will hit the lower @to middle range. @40s, couple areas to the south @may even see a 50-degree high.
6:32 am
@down and top snow on the way. @>> now, if yesterday gave you a @look at spring, you can go to @the cleveland botanical gardens @to see and smell flowers. @a look at the 13th annual @orchid mania. @alyssa, that is one that always @brings in the crowds. @>> they do the same thing. @we're standing by the water @color orchid wall. @i'm told that people either @love them or hate them. @here with me this morning is @cynthia. @cynthia. @how do you get them to look @like this. @>> it's a proprietary process, @actually. @what they do is inject a @chemical, totally nontoxic into @the flowers, and the flower and @buds take that up. @greens, purples, blues, other @colors that are not represented
6:33 am
@artistic take on this process. @roses, carnations, and so @forth. @so it is a beautiful way to @express a fun theme, which was @cuba this year. @we like the sights, the sounds, @the fragrances, the bright, @bright view, but it's @controversial a little bit. @most people love them. @some people, it's not their cup @of tea. @>> you guys are the experts to @keep them alive. @what is the best tip you can @give people if they want to @have an orchid at home. @>> don't overwater it. @keep an eye on the roots andly @pot ever couple of years. @you will get your flower to @rebloom again. @it's a gorgeous plant. @give up, you have to be patient @with these lovely orchids. @we can teach you how to grow @them at orchid doctor. @>> thank you so much, cynthia. @coming up in the next half @hour, we're going to take you @into the glass house.
6:34 am
@yourself through march 6th. @>> i need to see the orchid @doctor. @>> me too. @>> i'm not doing it right. @she said ice is not always the @trick. @we'll fill you in more. @>> we need to know those. @>> thanks, alyssa. @>> major construction project @start this is week on the west @shoreway. @it will impact your drive two @and from edge water for a few @months. @traffic reporter daniel wiggins @has details on the closures and @how long they're going to last. @i hope you're having a great @weekend. @i'm always here to help @minimize your delays. @let's talk about the west @shoreway. @we're going to see some ramp @closures at edgewater starting @on monday. @now, all the ramps are going to @be closed to and from the west @shoreway headed in the @westbound direction. @they close again on monday, @february 22nd. @this is this monday.
6:35 am
@through mid may for @reconstruction. @let's talk about the detours to @get around this. @if you're heading westbound and @you need to access edgewater, @you take the west shoreway west @to west boulevard. @hop off there. @get back on lake avenue where @you can access the west @shoreway in the eastbound @direction and access west 73rd, @which will get you to @edgewater. @if you need to access west @shore shoreway -- i know. @you see all these arrows, but @i'm going to walk you through @this. @exit 45th street to detroit to @west 49th where you can access @west shoreway. @i know. @it's a lot to take in while @you're watching tv, so i posted @all of this on @wkyc.com/traffic. @back to you. @>> dani, thanks. @ still ahead this morning, a @big game for the cavs tonight @in oklahoma city against the @thunder. @what lebron is saying ahead of

@ @hi, everyone. @good morning. @the cavs begin a brutal stretch @today. @six games in the next nine @days, starting with the @showdown at oklahoma city this @afternoon. @one of the marquee matchups on @the schedule. @cavs back on the court. @they have won four straight. @best record in the east at 49- @14. @cavs beat the thunder back in @cleveland in december. @one of their better wins wins. @okc has the fourth best record @led by two of the best players @in the game, westbrooke and @durant. @how do the cavs match up today. @>> i would say we match up good
6:40 am
@when you have two guys that can @give you 40 or 50 on any given @night, that's a matchup @problem. @for our team, we just have to @defend the best way we can. @try to make it tough on those @guys. @>> a game time decision, the @new guy, channing frye, will @not play. @he's in cleveland still. @didn't travel with the team @because he has not completed @his physical. @fry missed all of the 2013 @season with a heart condition @but played the next season. @the cavs have a couple of days @to add him to the roster. @>> we had no complaints at all. @we're being as thorough as we @need to be. @we have until tuesday. @ let's talk baseball. @indians pitchers and catchers @continue to work out in @goodyear. @the entire team has to report @today. @the first full squad workout @comes up on tuesday. @most of the guys are already

@i'm intrigued by mike napoli. @i think he can help. @he can do damage against left- @handed pitching. @has a great glove. @is expected to be the regular @starter at first base. @>> he's a baseball player, a @grinder, really kind of plays @with an edge. @he's been on some winning @teams. @he has a catching background, @which i think never hurts @anybody. @he's changed to first base and @has actually made himself a @pretty good first baseman @through a lot of hard work. @>> i'm with you tomorrow @morning. @i will be in goodyear all week @covering indians spring @training action. @don't forget, talking tribe @comes your way thursday night. @live at 7:00, it's our indians @spring training special. @coming your way tonight.

@it was like we got to step into @april for a little bit. @now we have to step back into @february. @>> we have snapped back into @february this morning. @i hope you didn't push that @winter coat too far in the @closet. @you're going to want to pull @that gear out. @we're not terribly chilly. @i can see a bit of daybreak on @the horizon. @just a few high, thin clouds. @we're quite a bit of action, @though, down to the south. @that's the lower jet stream and @a front moving along there. for @us, it's mainly a change. @there's a cold front sitting @just above the great lakes. @you can see the magenta there. @that's starting to break up and
6:47 am
@as it does, it's going to usher @in those northerly winds. @the winds to the north. @basically going to cool us down @today and into tomorrow and the @rest of the week as well as we @keep that northerly flow. @right now, we're not doing too @bad. @we'll start to see a cooler @trend over the next couple of @days. @we have definitely snapped back @to reality. @we're bringing in some cooler @temps not only today but into @monday, tuesday, wednesday as @well. @i'm also tracking an @opportunity for moisture to @move in in the form of rain and @snow as we get later on into @the forecast. @so your day planner for today @is not too bad. @middle range, 40s, should be @the norm this afternoon. @notice the cloud cover is going @to fill in this afternoon. @as we head through the day, i @think we're going to see a mix @of sun and clouds, depending on @where you are. @the coldest temperatures, lower

@northern counties and closer to @the 50-degree mark the further @you go to the southwest. @we'll hold off on the moisture. @start off on the school side in @the morning. @tomorrow afternoon temperatures @will only be in the 30s. @yes, we're tracking cooler @nighttime temperatures as well @as lower daytime highs. @so for the next stretch, it @will be pretty mild for us into @the afternoon. @above average, but our window @nation 7-day forecast @definitely shows a decided @trend on the way. @once we get into the colder @air, i would say tuesday into @wednesday, we start to pull in @the opportunity for some @moisture, which means that when @we get to tuesday afternoon, we @could see some rain showers @begin when temperatures dip @down into the 30s overnight. @so that can transition to snow, @but our measurable snow date to @watch for will be on thursday. @>> all right. @that. @in the meantime, we're mourning

@we're looking at basically @overcast skies. @these high, thin clouds moved @in quickly over the last few @hours. @we'll have a mix of sun and @clouds as we move through the @day. @sunrise official at 7:13 this @morning. @we're going to keep our @temperatures on the cooler @side. @all the action is down to our @south. @all those showers and heavy @rain passing through the @southern portion of the state @below i-70. @it's going to stay down there. @not going to impact us too @much. @what we'll have today is mainly @calm winds along the lake @shore. @you can see we don't have wind @working right now. @brisk down to the south. @when we pop down, you can see @the changes. @down toward the bottom, we're @going to be dealing with a @slight bit of wind chill for @this portion of the morning. @so far we definitely have a @snap back to our more realistic @temperatures for this time over @the year. @i think most of us start off in @the 30s this morning. @we have cooler temperatures @throughout the week. @more seasonable for mosts of.
7:23 am
@moving in in the form of rain @and showers with light @accumulation possible by @thursday. @so far for today, we're @tracking colder temperatures. @overcast skies but a mix of sun @and clouds as we head into the @afternoon. @i think our temperatures have a @good shot of making it above 40 @degrees. @the northerly winds will keep @temperatures down into the @lower 40s. @look at the upper 40s pushing @30-degrees. @we could see 52 for dover and @out to 49 for wooster. @overall, though, i think it's a @fairly calm day weather wise. @the afternoon temperatures look @great. @should not impact your evening @plans as you get ready to start @our work week. @more clouds move in along with @the colder temperatures, and @we'll definitely see @temperatures dropping down into @the 20s for overnight lows. @here's what you need to know. @upper 40s pushing 50 degrees @for some, but overall that, @window nation forecast is

7:31 am
@clinton's campaign. @well, she got a win. @now the pressure is on sanders. @where does he win in a diverse @state. @if he couldn't win in nevada, @where is he going to win. @>> it's possible hillary @clinton wins eight of the next @contests. @if that's what happens by march @1st and we wake up on march @2nd, then she's the presumptive @nominee. @on the republican side -- if @you told me six monthsing a jeb @bush would win new hampshire @and south carolina or marco @rubio would win south carolina @and new hampshire back to back. @i would say they're the @nominee. @donald trump has pulled off @that feat. @nobody has done that and not @become the republican nominee. @yet, obviously there's still a @stop trump movement that has @some juice somewhere in the @republican party.
7:32 am
@front runner right now. @he's a big front runner. @ted cruz has a significant @chunk of the electorate. @we're going to see people rally @around rubio. @time is running out. @>> we have more primaries and @caucuses ahead. @>> we do. @>> how will trump and clinton @do moving into midwest states @in. @>> well, i think part of it, @the assumption on trump has @been as the field narrows, @right now, 33, 34% is a winning @number for him. @if he gets into a one on one, @as the field narrows and some @of the candidates are @officially out of the race or @basically out of the race, does @that propel rubio? @i think what rubio needs is by @march 15th, you talk about the @big states in ohio, for @instance, if it's just rubio @and trump or rubio has @surpassed cruz as the chief
7:33 am
@states like illinois and ohio? @that's what he has to do if @you're going to stop trump. @again, time is running out. @>> all right. @chuck. @you're definitely must-see tv. @>> well, we have trump, cruz, @sanders this morning. @i don't know who else we could @be having that you would want @to see this morning. @that's for sure. @>> i can't think of anyone @else. @>> appreciate it. @>> catch meet the press at @10:00 a.m. @right after our news at 9:00. @>> now we're going to get a @quick look at your forecast. @>> good morning. @good morning, everyone. @it's definitely quiet around @the radar right now. @we've seen some cloud cover @move in over the last three @hours. @yes, the action down to our @staff mainly those showers and @storms moving on through. @not going to affect us south of @i-70, but we're going to get @some colder air as the winds @have shifted out of the north. @most of us starting off in the @30s. @winds calm to light around the @shoreline.
7:34 am
@stepping out this morning for @your services and any of your @other activities, overall, i @think today shapes up to be a @mix of sunshine and cloud cover @at times. @we'll see the winds solidly out @of the north. @and temperatures shouldn't be @much above lower 30s to -- @lower 40s to mid-40s for most. @we could even squeak in a 50 or @51. @i am tracking colder air moving @on in through the work week as @well as a chance for rain and @evening some accumulating snow. @>> all right. @thanks so much. @it's hard to believe, @especially since yesterday. @we have the craving for spring. @no need to worry temperatures @are dropping. @you can go to the cleveland
