if you take the shore way into downtown, add extra time to your commute. why? roads are closed. i'll let you know how long coming up. gold is color for team u.s.a. and michael phelps. katie smashes her own world record. a suspect involved in two overnight shootings is dead. >> let's get to alyssa elyria. this spanned three cities. >> reporter: that's right. there was a fatal shooting then a double shooting in south euclid. then it takes us to cleveland where the suspect ended up killing himself. this all started in elyria around 10 after 11:00 last night. someone called police after hearing gunshots. police came there and found a

torso. she later died at the hospital. as for who shot her boyfriend shot her. then this double shooting on winston road around 2:20. buford is responsible for these shootings too. he of course left the scene. police pinged his vehicle near 90 and eddie road. a pursuitue cleveland. once he got to cleveland city limit, cleveland police successfully stopped buford on mlk and east 105th shortly after the double shooting. ten minutes after the shooting, police say. after police stopped him, he shot himself in the head and died there at the scene. this is an image of him police released this morning.

himself across from the va in cleveland. this is where it started at an apartment complex around 11:10 last night. police say a 40-year-old female was shot multiple times. she later died at hospital. then the double shooting happened around 2:20 this morning on winston road in south euclid. this whole time police were looking for 42-year-old buford. police say he was the boyfriend of the woman shot and killed. police pinged his vehiclend cleveland police stopped buford on mlk and east 105th. police say after they stopped him, he ended up shooting and killing himself at that time. lena? >> all right alyssa, two men are dead this morning after two overnight shootings in the same neighborhood. one man was found dead on east 78th street south of st. clair after another man was shot earlier on east 77th and later
