make sure their voices are heard. live in lorain, channel 3 news. >> we'll see you then. thanks tiffany. police are investigating the death of a construction worker hit and killed in avon around 2:00 yesterday afternoon. police belief the worker was -- believe the worker was directing a dump truck back to the construction zone, and the truck hit him. the victim's name is released. a person is charged in connection with a crash that killed a young girl. carter crashed into nine vehicles in a construction zone in erie sunday. a 14-year-old was killed in the crash, seven others injured. more than a month after she was left to die in the cuyahoga national park, a woman helped the fbi identify the man that shot her several times in the head and face.

including attempted murder. the victim's testimony, along with nearby surveillance video, led agents to him. justice has been served for three men that spent two decades in prison for a crime they didn't commit. they were convicted in 1996. yesterday the judge dismissed the 36 case against the three. they were all set free last year. turning to politics now. candidate trump made a stop in the buckeye state yesterday and spoke at a rally to talk about his plan to test immigrants. >> i call it extreme vetting. our country has enough problems. >> trump would require everyone entering the u.s. to believe in religious freedom, gender equality, gay rights. he would use government

. good morning. first in your morning rush. the first day of school for most cleveland students collided with news about a possible teacher strike. the cleveland teachers union made the announcement late last night. the district has been working on a new deal since last november. their current contract expired on july 1st. the district says it's unfortunate that the teacher's

a strike instead of resolving few remaining items. if teachers strike next week, it would affect 40,000 cleveland students. the district says they have a contingency plan in place if this does end up happening in order to minimize the impact. lena. >> all right. we're learning more about the deadly shooting at a taco bell drive through. police believe the killer was trying to rob two people restaurant. 49-year-old robert was shot and killed. a witness who heard the shots says he hopes they catch a suspect soon. this is a good town to live in. now we're just fearing for our life. we have to watch our back at the drive throughs. police do not have a good description of the suspect but consider him armed and dangerous. >> with the november election three months away, the board of
