summit is aimed at improving cooperation. ohio is among the five states with highest number of drug overdose deaths in 2014. canton police are investigating after a violent day yesterday two separate shootings happenedless than two miles from each other -- happened less than two miles from each other. two were shot southeast side. it happened around 7:00 p.m. no word on injuries. earlier in the day, a young mother was shot driving south on 77. that shooting shut down the highway several hours yesterday morning. she was struck in the hand and grazed in the head. injuries were not life threatening. canton police do not believe the shootings are related no. arrests in either case have been made.

sheriff overmye remarks is charged with 43 -- overmyer is charged with 43 counts. a special prosecutor is seeking to have a panel of judges suspend him. he's been released from jail since. a high school coach could face up to 20 years behind bars after pleading guilty to having an inappropriate relationship with a student. merkel is charged counts of sexual battery. he's a part time teacher and coach for the district. he was facing eight additional charges at one time. they were dropped the district placed him on administrative leave in april amidols of a relationship with a student. dirt bikers doing dangerous stunts on city streets. major jackson hopes to build a dirt bike and atv track.
