new overnight three people were sent to the hospital last night after a car was hit running a red light vehicles crossed saint clair one another vehicle ran the light. that car was clipped on its back end and spun out of control. it went half a block before stopping between two utiliity pole >> no word if any drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. we are tracking the more than a decade. hermine made landfall about 1:30 this morning. tiffany tarpley has the latest. the governor is calling this a life-threatening storm >> reporter: is a category one hurricane that made landfall along the gulf coast south of tallahassee. right now hermine is weakening as it moves into southern georgia but already leaving a

then they have saved two lives. tuesday in separate incidents akron officers responded to suspected heroin overdoses. two men were revived by narcan which all 35 patrol cars began carrying last friday. officer john turnure helped to save one of the men and told us he is happy to have yet another tool to save lives. another case of narcan to the rescue caught on dashcam video by the ohio patrol. troopers refined to a car on the side of 75 near cincinnati. two men were locked inside overdosing. troopers smashed the windows and a nurse driving by pulled over to help. paramedics arrived on scene administered naloxone which is the generic name for narcan both men are now recovering. the driver was later charged

joe biden and donald trump making a trip to the buckeye state. vice president joe biden stopped in parma yesterday on behalf of hillary clinton. he talked to blue-collar workers at agm planes. his event was delayed by more than one hour partly because he made a stop to sample goodies at rudy's bakery. a local business on by ukrainian immigrants. in southern ohio donald trump visited wilmington city devastated by losing a big freight company. he pledged to bring jobs back. >> we're going to bring back your jobs. which we have to have back and we want them back soon. we're going to negotiate fair trade deals that put american workers back to work and that

he made national headlines for sitting during the us national anthem. last night he was spotted kneeling along the sidelines during the banner -- the anthem. he has refused to stand for the anthem because he will not quote show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. topping our morning news brock turner is scheduled to be released from prison today. the 20-year-old was sentenced in june to six months in prison for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman at the time there was a lot of outrage by many who thought the sentence was too lenient. he is being let out early because of good behavior. he was also sentenced to three years probation and has to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. authorities in florida say they have found zika in infected mosquitoes for the first time.

surprising after dozens of nontravel related zika infections were diagnosed in people in miami-dade county. until now they had not been able to find mosquitoes with the virus. officials say they will continue to spray trap and educate the public. a rocket scheduled for launch this weekend exploded on the launchpad in florida yesterday. the spacex rocket was unmanned and going through a test en shaking people and buildings miles away. no one at cape canaveral was hurt. all eyes will be in the sky this weekend. find out when the cleveland air show kicks off. let's hope the skies are full of baseballs flying out of

have. we are tracking hermine which is the biggest weather story. it made landfall overnight. with 80 mile-per-hour wind. it was a category one hurricane. it is still considered a category one with winds at 75. the track is something that we will watch closely throughout this weekend because it is going to go up the mid-atlantic coast and georgia and the carolinas and impacts as we t keep up-to-date with the latest. i expect within the next short time this will be downgraded to a tropical storm but that's not to say the rain will not be devastating. high-pressure building at home. with that means is we will push away the cloud cover and push away the shower chances and we're going to see a lot of sunshine through the weekend. in the meantime we have some stragglers.
