early morning. we will forecast a chance for a shower through 9 am and then they will fade in the transition to mostly sunny skies highs in the mid 70s and most of you are in the 50s as you wake up. high-pressure building in this weekend sinking air and lots of sunshine and it will take over and keep the cloud cover away as we zoom in what you will see over the past few hours is we've had some spotty showers mainly east of cleveland. it is very hit and miss. what a beautiful morning at progressive field. a perfect game tonight and the traffic this morning is moving

major delays. one accident earlier but first 490 eastbound there's no report of blocking anything so they've moved it onto the shoulder but looking at leaks county there are no issues. on the west side lorain toward for million toward downtown the turnpike traffic is flowing well. police are investigating after a strongville police car was involved in a crash with a u-haul van. this happened last night on west 41st in lorain. police were chasing the van and no word yet on what caused the crash. we will follow the story.

to a tropical storm it made landfall in florida overnight as a hurricane. tiffany tarpley is tracking the latest. >> reporter: there's a lot of rain expected with the storm as it continues to move. the national hurricane center says it's maximum sustained winds have we get to about 70 miles per hour which is down from 80 . it made landfall as a hurricane south of tallahassee around 1:30 this morning and will move into the carolinas and up the east coast. the national guard is on standby to help residents after the storm moves through. flooding is already a problem and power outage in pasco county. deputies there used highway vehicles to rescue people so although the storm has weekend forecast to say it is still very dangerous to people in its path.

donald trump both made a trip to the buckeye state. joe biden made a stop in parma on behalf of hillary clinton. he talked to blue-collar workers at the gm plant and is speech was delayed by over one hour because he stopped to sample goodies at rudy's bakery. and down in southern ohio donald trump visited wilmington , a city devastated by losing a big freight company. he pledged >> we're going to bring back your jobs which we have to have back and we want them back soon. we are going to negotiate fair trade deals that put americans workers back to work and that put america first. >> he also vowed to keep out illegal immigrants and who take jobs from here in ohio. the cleveland browns

a red light and that car was flipped on its backend and spun out of control. it went about half a lot before stopping between two utiliity pole's. no word of drugs or alcohol was a factor. hermine is on the move and the storm has been downgraded to a tropical storm. it made landfall as a hurricane the first to get florida in more than a decade. the storm is expected to move into the carolinas and up the east coast. flooding is already a problem and so are power outages and a national guard is on standby and also we know of you suffered minor injuries during hurricane when they drove into a downed tree along the coast in the panhandle. this is something people have to be very careful with as the storm moves it still very dangerous. >> flooding is the biggest concern with these storms.

an update on hermine as it moves through florida and now georgia. it made landfall as a hurricane around 1:30 this morning south of tallahassee. it has weakened to a tropical

east coast as far as boston people are already feeling the flooding and power outages and damage. this is the first hurricane to hit florida since 2005 and so far from have reports of minor injuries. indians and marlins continue the homestand tonight at progressive field. they hold the four and half game lead over detroit as a get into the all important month of september. game tonight here on channel 3. the indians with the lead 1996. he's all the division lead in september when the division 79% of the time. as the indians look ahead to postseason and the browns look ahead to the regular- season. 0-4 for the preseason.
