the influence of drugs which led to him crashing into the trooper. we now take a live look inside the courtroom where you see joshua gasper standing in front of a judge. he standing there with other people who have arraignments this morning. he's charged with aggravated vehicular homicide. according to the patrol, police conducted a field sobriety tests and arrested him on the scene. we are told he was doing a routine traffic stop and there's now an american flag that marks the spot where this all happens. yesterday, april procession for the lies, they father of three, happened. the sons of his described him

>> she posted these pictures after police responded, suspected a heroin overdose and gave life-saving medication. a couple passed out in a car from may suspect overdose with a four -year-old in the backseat. the drug enforcement administration estimates about 28,000 people i each year from heroin overdoses. heroin overdose deaths are now three times what they were in one reason, street suppliers are mixing in the drug fentanyl because it's cheaper but it's also 50 times stronger making the drug even more dangerous. and, police feel overwhelmed

today. you can see a lot or moisture upstream coming up out of the southwest. it will take its time and the rain will stop when it does however, that will stick around for most of the afternoon sunday through sunday evening. you can see just ahead of that cold front, all of this southerly flow give us the fuel for the showers and thunderstorms. temperature wise, cooler and drier. twin cities at 59 degrees, trust in west virginia at 72 in the nations capital, 70 degrees. lots of humidity headed to that frontal system. as we move through time, you can see the ever present chance for showers and thunderstorms through this evening and overnight

precipitation. those clouds are stubborn though, on into sunday evening and slowly clearing through sunday night. we begin to see lots of breaks and those clouds and, it will be extremely pleasant and above normal temperatures. the rest of today, look at those chances for showers and thunderstorms throughout the day, getting into the upper 70s and today, 80% or better chance for the showers and thunderstorms. some of the rain on the heavy side, and once again, more showers and thunderstorms. cloudy in the afternoon, the rain should be in the afternoon and should be clearing out as we move on through the day.

and that moisture is fueling showers and thunderstorms that keep rumbling across the area and they will continue to do so today and tonight, into sunday morning. there's of cold front off to the west of us and that front is very slowly moving toward the east. it will eventually clear out the rain, late sunday morning and midday sunday. until that happens, the southerly flow ahead of it fueled those showers and thunderstorms. some of the rain wil h briefly today and you may get more than one heavy shower. those results are off to the northeast. cool and dryer, marquette 67 degrees, charleston west virginia at 74 in a very tropical layer ahead of that front. that will fuel showers and thunderstorms this evening and of course that means lots of things are in jeopardy.

tomorrow we will see though showers worked to the east. the front should be on through by midday and that means some cloudy skies behind it but, the rain will be over. sunday afternoon looks to be okay. starting things off and the workweek monday, we will see partly cloudy skies, the rain will be gone and it will be a nice week ahead. showers and thunderstorms are at possibility throughout the day today on here is your forecast. and 80% chance of showers and thunderstorms, at least. wind is out of the south bringing up the moisture, a muggy low temperature overnight tonight with the showers and thunderstorms, and on sunday, 36 for a high temperature with a chance of a morning shower. party skies in the afternoon but the rain should end and
