after one protester was shot from a civilian on civilian shooting. another so far as injured when a second night of violence overtook the streets t. shooting victim remains in critical condition. ry i don't get and looting can be seen throughout the downtown charlotte area. police can be seen in riot gear down the striets in charlotte's downtown area. one person told nbc news exactly why he was streets. >> we're out here to send a message that we will no longer allow people to be killed by police officers. we're not going to allow it. from has to be a sense of accountability on all sides, especially from the police department. especially when there's people being killed and there is no one held accountable for it. it's not about violence, it's about standing and letting them

different than it was a couple hours ago when people were mauveng up and down the streets, holding signs, saying no justice, no police. police are being adamant that the man that was seriously wounded by shot by a civilian, not an officer. we do know he is on life support fighting for his life this morning. this as i mentioned as protesters took to the streets, protesting the shooting death of police tuesday. racial tensions boiling over, overnight, after yet another officer-involved shooting. now, the unrest and the bias continues for a second night, bringing out the police officers in riot gear, trying to do everything possible to try to calm the crowd here, using flash grenades, rubber bullet, tear gas, to separate the calm and get them to leave. hundreds of these people are fought listening to these officer, again, protesting the
