baseball weather. all right, michael, thanks so much. let's get to those exciting highlights. game one of the acs day bead last night, and the indians jumped right it to last night, beating the blue jays 2-0. kluber was on the mound, and he pitched a shutout game, while strikes out six batters. but what really got the run homer in the 6 inning. the indians now lead the series 1-00. game two is set for 4:00 this afternoon. they're already preparing at progressive field, and we are going to have more on the series coming up a later in sports. developing news this morning. we now have video showing the moments leading up to a deadly

it happened on west 25th street in cleveland thursday night. police say a man and woman were drag racing, going well above the allowed speed limit of 25 miles per hour. one of the cars hit 55-year-old john krdi c, killing him. the man was well known and well loved in that neighborhood. >> for somebody to be sitting out here, you know, they're already disabled, and you lose your life just for some stupid thing that something else is doing? it >> even when people were mean to him, you know how people are in the streets, he let it go, he smiled and joked with them. >> a 21-year-old woman has been arrested and charged. the other driver has not been found. the fbi has new information in the search for a man attempting to abduct children. they say because of all of the cases are west of cleveland, the suspect may live in that general direction. it's just the late it's lead

from her home he on the westside of cleveland back in may. a few months early television the fbi said the same suspect tried to grab a 10-year-old from her bed in elyria. police recently said a 2015 case might also be tied to this serial abductor. >> to port clinton now, where authorities are investigating a house explosion so strong it could be felt half a mile away. the blast sent four people to neighbors say they smelled gas for days. the couple that lives in the home had just started using their heat. the explosion destroyed two homes. maintain neighbors described us to the moment that it happened. >> everything happened at once. i saw a roof go up, and then like, just, sprinkling pieces part of this. i felt a bus hit me in the chest. >> it was like toronto.

pumped since monday, and, really, tomlin looked great in fenway, so the end are confident. tomlin has no issue bumping up and pitching today, and he'll pitch at home now. that's good. better than pitching on the road. if you're a starter, you want your home crowd behind you. and happ, look at that e.r.a. he's the starter for the blue jays today, and that's a little concerning if you're the indians. tomlin coming off that good start against the red sox. let's they only have one preseason game left, and that's a good thing, because the preseason really is boring,, and last night nobody played as they lost to the bulls. so they will wrap it up up in columbus next week. but we have better news than anything talking preseason. j.r. smith and the cavs have agreed to a contract. a reported four-year deal worth $57 million, so just over 14 million a year. that's a big win for smith who has been holding out during training camped a odds over the
