a couple of hours ago. it was such an exciting game. >> oh my gosh. the pitching. it was phenomenal. i mean, just -- i was with my parents. just my dad was glued to the tv. and i was like to show my gosh. he struck him out again. it was so exciting. >> it was so good to see. the energy in the city last night was incredible. >> i think that was what was the most fun about watching the game, watching all of the fans. the towels and the it was really fun. >> a quick story, i live downtown and i could hear the cheering from the stadium and i live blocks away. you could feel the excitement. it was such a great night and it is leading to a great morning this morning as well. temperatures -- did you notice this? >> it feels like summer out there. >> it is crazy -- the temperatures that we are seeing right now our normal daytime

news this morning. a 15-year-old boy was killed during a robbery at his family's restaurant in cleveland heights. it happened at around 7:45 pm on friday at this mr. hero on south taylor road. police released surveillance images of the robber firing the shot, one shy of, hitting the victim in the high. the suspect took some money from the register and ran away. mayfield city school identified the victim -- a sophomore. we are told that his family owned the mr. hero and the teenager was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. >> i am actually shocked. i moved into this area because it is a good area. all of the things that are happening and we do not come out after dark. >> crime stoppers is offering $5000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment. we have also learned that former browns linebacker and auburn start quentin groves has died he was the second round nfl draft pick and he died in his sleep because of the death has not been released but he revealed in 2009 that he was diagnosed with a condition that causes rapid heartbeat.

now to all of the excitement that we were talking about, the indians on a roll with first-round sweep and now up 2-0 against toronto after another big win on saturday. cleveland starter josh tomlin -- he pitched five innings and struck out six batters. carlos santana homered in the second inning to put the tribe on the board. soon after, francisco lindor would make it 2-one met with a game 2. the series goes to toronto monday night. we will have more coming up in sports. we are just doing our thing. cleveland team that is used to playing to our finest. we know our fans are counting on us but nobody yet has us winning so continuing to be ourselves.

high this year and as jack first report, some people are getting creative with their trick-or-treat giveaways. >> it is a fine paper >> reporter: the cartoonist has a twist for halloween. >> to get kids excited about comics and reading. >> reporter: he gives out his many comic book featuring his cute goats. >> bookstores. >> reporter: tax of 25 in comic book stores as an alternative gift for trick-or- treaters. >> they will get tons of candy and hopefully a comment look along the lines. >> reporter: according to a national retail federation survey more than 171 million americans plan to celebrate halloween. >> i think it is a no-brainer. >> reporter: the plan seed and flower bold company aims to

junk food. here it is pumpkin seeds, to roast or put away until spring to start growing next year's jack-o'-lantern. >> it was a nice, healthy alternative to the traditional getting a candy bar or piece of gum at the halloween snack >> reporter: the national retail federation expects halloween spending to reach $8.4 billion this year. an all-time high. with those celebrating, spending on average, nearly $83, up about $8.50 from last year. >> going to continue expanding. >> reporter: the professor predicts more and more companies will embrace halloween, even ones not typically associated with the holiday as a way to introduce themselves to shoppers. >> to show people -- they are a fine organization. they have find branzburg >> reporter: some giveaways may be more creative and candy is still king that survey said that more than 94% of consumers plan to buy it shelling out $2.5 billion. halloween is not just for the kids but animals like to dress up items the ninth annual spooky pooch parade in lakewood coghlan park as host for the festival that celebrates this season.

and check out the numbers through this afternoon. it looks like a summer forecast, 10:00 in the morning, 71, by lunchtime, the mid-70s and what you will notice is the increase in clouds and eventually we are expecting some of those to give way to scattered showers and perhaps an isolated thunderstorm. mainly throughout the afternoon. we will say after lunchtime but more specifically after the 2:00 our and then tomorrow, tuesday, not only are we in the 70s but the 80s are back. the current temperatures, upper 50s towards akron, canton, upper 60s, in downtown, and most of us nice and dry right now a but it is just towards the northwest you can see the scattered showers and thunderstorms along the cold front. that cold front will swing

it will get pretty close to swinging through northeast ohio and, as it does so, we will see some afternoon showers and, perhaps, some rumbles of thunder, so again, it will be one of those deals where if you plan on being out and about later on this evening, around dinner time, umbrellas will be needed. we will take you after lunchtime and this is ron 5:00, hit and miss showers, really coming into fruition during the later evening hours so if you 11:00, that is when we will see the scattered showers and the isolated thunderstorm chance. we will hold onto that throughout early tomorrow morning, by 7:00, 9:00 and then tomorrow afternoon i think that things will gradually clear out. look at the temperatures. upper 70s, low 80s, not bad at all to start off the upcoming work week. the rainfall totals -- anywhere between 1/10 inch or two under a half inch and i think if you do see one thunderstorm, that is where we will see the higher rain totals. mid and upper 70s, perhaps

welcome back. it is that time of year again and the leaves are changing colors so maybe you are going to a pumpkin patch or you need some apples, apple cider. live at the patterson fruit farm in chesterland and if anybody watching has not made it to pattersons, it is a destination. it is a must do during the fall. >> reporter: is insane out here. i showed you the last half- hour, with all of the apples but the apples are good when they get into things as well and that is the bakery section where they do doughnuts and ties galore and you can take a look, making them because today is going to be a big day and the weekend especially. the bakery is hopping. you came in last night to -- tell us about the variety that we are seeing. >> we do 30 different varieties of donuts, somewhere around 30. apple cider, cinnamon, pumpkin roll, snickers, melted caramel, maple bacon is always a

that is going to be changing by this afternoon. there is a lot going on today. of course, the want to end alzheimer's is taking place throughout the morning. the temperatures are in the 60s and by the 9:00 hour we will be in the upper 60s under mostly cloudy skies and around lunchtime, as things are wrapping up, there is an isolated shower chance but i think that we should stay dry throughout the morning which is the good news. highs today pushing near 80 into the upcoming afternoon, and we will actually get there, not only on monday, but also on tuesday. we will talk about that part of the forecast coming up in just a couple of minutes. again, lots to look forward to. >> another gorgeous day. thank you. it has been a lakewood stable for decades. the grocery store announced it will close its doors next month. it is not only a place for residents to shop. carly flynn morgan explains how the closure will impact its unique job placement program. >> reporter: she has shopped here for eight years. >> it is a little bit hard to not have a tear come to my eyes. >> reporter: she believes in making healthy choices and the mission of training people with intellectual and physical

help. >> reporter: it employs 35 people including several trainees a learning skills that they can put to use in the community. >> once they get a job, they show up on time and they are really reliable and they love working. >> reporter: this is part of the nonprofit cornucopia, executive director nancy says that revenue is no longer support the operation. >> our sales have dropped over the last year in particular. >> reporter: 20 years ago organic produce like this was only available at two stores in greater cleveland and now you can get it at the giant eagle, walmart, costco and for cheaper than here. she is one of the employees who will lose her job. >> i have a box of tissues out today. you know? this afternoon -- the customers are crying. they are that loyal customer.

there are other guys that have stepped up huge and we are playing good baseball but this is no time to get complacent. we have got to go to toronto and faced a tough team. to try to win a couple of games. a lot of the players put the main event. i think that it is miller time. my goodness. harry franconia went to miller in the seventh inning and he dominated, and he faces six batters and he struck out five of them. no runs, no hits, the first pitcher in post-season history to strike out five batters on consecutive days. what a weapon. >> it is a blast. i think that you try not to get too high on it because you do not want to overthrow and get out of your mechanics but it is fun to play in front of these guys when they show the cavaliers on the television -- when they get wild for two strike accounts or loud because we of the runners on base, it is a blast to be a part of it and you try to enjoy it today is a workout day in toronto as the teams traveled last night. the american league championship series continues tomorrow, game three, rogers center, 8:08 pm is the first pitch, and the best-of-seven

welcome back. the storms that many in the pacific northwest have been bracing for made landfall on saturday the track of the storms moved west off of the coast of washington state, bringing a weaker system to the seattle area than expected more than 20,000 customers were left without power and downed trees were reported across the 55 miles per hour for puget sound and 55 along the east coast. meteorologist say that even though the storm was not as strong as predicted, it is good that people were prepared. we have been hit with some very interesting weather lately luckily here -- >> in northeast ohio, we have been spared. you know? >> that is great.

is a way out of this. he has got to attract republican voters that have never been attracted to his candidacy yet. it is hard to see how anything he has done this week is going to help him get those last remaining republicans who have been hesitant about his candidacy. >> going into the weekend, donald trump had more women accusing him of sexual assault. are we done? are we going to hear for more women? >> i don't know. you know, obviously, that is something that is hard to know at this point. nine is a lot. that is the number that we are up to this weekend since the debate last sunday. they have been able to sort of

them individually, but the sheer volume, i think, is certainly taking a toll and, again, it is how donald trump is responding to this that is making a bad situation worse. >> you mentioned that the division among republicans. people are taking a look at the ballot and going down the ticket do think that it will hurt other republicans on the ballot as people go into vote? >> i think that the republican campaign down the ballot has is not about donald trump pushing republican voters away from the republican party. the concern that these candidates have is somehow republicans that do not like donald trump that are turned off by him but cannot bring themselves to vote for click -- hillary clinton will not show up. they are so turned off that they will not turn out. that is how waves happen. anytime that you see one party take control of the house, it is because the other party was demoralized and had a drop in turnout. that is the concern that the campaigns have if the skeptical republicans on donald trump show up to the polls they will -- they made vote for hillary clinton or gary johnson for president but they will vote
