we are at shamrock run and this is the first year for the run. it is so exciting. >> reporter: that is right. it will start off on 30th street on west 30th street. it is at the track and there will be over 900 people running today, all in love for shane. shane, at the age of 3, was diagnosed with cancer, and instead of the family letting that dim bear lake, they started at the foundation. 13th biggest fundraiser in the country for st. baldrick's. that is a pretty big deal. they have helped raise over $1 million for pediatric cancer research and today 900 runners will be here supporting shane all in love. so we will be covering it throughout the morning and hopefully i have some running shoes inside of the news truck. we will see. >> a live run. that would be great. >> all right. thank you. we have a warning for you.

we know that many of you spend or-treating. check out this picture that a viewer shared with some of us. this is west in the went into the city hall trick-or-treat dressed as a police officer. his mother said that he was mesmerized by the police officers. he spent time with some of the fire department members who were handing out candy. some other trick-or-treaters dressed up as police officers as well.

looks okay. up until late morning, into the early afternoon. that is when the rain chances are really going to increase. of the good news -- i think that we see the rainfall, generally during the early afternoon, and then as we go towards this evening, although we hang onto the clouds, i think that the rain chances become a little bit more isolated. if you like a heat that you are feeling, you are going to love the upcoming work week. going out the door, to the first pitch, back towards chicago, after 8:00 p.m., looking for temperatures at home, 52, and by the ninth inning and we walk away with a huge world series win, 49 degrees is what we are forecasting. the current temperatures, 50s and 60s, but look for the temperatures to fall from where we are currently. winds outside for minorities, 5 to 10 miles per hour, gusts are not really a huge issue. it is a cold front that we are

moving through northeast ohio as we speak and it is along the cold front that we are tracking the showers and some thunderstorms developing. this cold front will continue to move towards the south and as it does so, what it will bring in is the area and that pocket showers. here's what it looks like now through lunchtime. again, that is when i think that we see the rainfall and perhaps an isolated rumble or -- of thunder or two and then through the better half of the afternoon, i think that we will see the rainfall until the evening hours. that is when things begin to dry out and buy 8:00 p.m., we are relatively clear by the point. again, as you are going out the door, to the watch party, have progressive field, i think that it looks decent. by the game end tonight, again, it looks pretty good. first thing tomorrow morning come on your monday, a decent looking start and it will be

want to get you caught up with the biggest three stories of the morning, local, national and trending story. the man accused of running over another man in his wheelchair has turned himself into police. he is wanted for aggravated vehicular homicide and assault and leaving the scene of an accident. it happened about two weeks

police say that he lost control of his car and struck and killed 55-year-old john kendrick. the national transportation safety board is finding out more details about a fire at o'hare international airport on friday. and american airlines flight was preparing to take off when the airplane erupted in flames and smoke. all 161 passengers and nine crew members were safely evacuated. officials say eo injuries but they have all been released. ntsb says that engine failure it what caused the plane to catch fire. do you remember the blue dress and gold dress debate? a new one -- bill murray, tom hanks a -- not two guys that you would likely get confused by take a look at the picture that has people stomped. it was taken and posted online three years ago but it landed

can notice the wind shift from the east. generally from the southwest of towards akram -- akron, canton. the cold front right now is behind the cold front -- it is where we are tracking scattered showers and the showers will continue to move through northeast ohio from the north, pushing towards the south, throughout the course of the afternoon. let's talk about timing on all of this. what we are expecting is throughout the morning you will notice the uptick in the cloud cover towards the south. eventually the rain moves in. perhaps a couple of roberto luongo thunder. that will linger and lasted for about 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., before things become a more isolated. lake effect showers are in the wake of all that. that is possible but i think that we will slowly and surely begin to see more clearing toward the evening. what an evening it could be in northeast ohio. we are keeping our fingers crossed. the first thing tomorrow morning, looking decent. tomorrow afternoon, noticeably cooler temp -- temperatures in the mid-50s. window nation, seven-day

given the fact that we are tracking a cold front. the temperatures outside that we are feeling -- perhaps the warmest of the day. mid-60s towards a -- the county and in akron, canton, 63. notice of that up towards the north, you can see the thin line of showers towards the northern tip of lake erie. that is generally moving towards the east, southeast, and we are expecting that to move into northeast ohio around 10:30 am. it swings and pivots through downtown cleveland by the late it will linger and last throughout the better half of the afternoon. however, into this evening, i think that the showers begin to clear up, so as you are going out to progressive field for any watch parties, i think that things should look pretty good. temperatures in the afternoon are in the lower 50s. we will talk about when the 70s return to northeast ohio. that is coming up in the next couple of minutes. in the 70s in november. >> yes. mid-70s by the way.

in 2010 a young boy was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 3 and since then his parents have helped to fight the battle with shane parker raising over $1 million for pediatric cancer research. the family will host the very first shane rock run in honor of their son. jasmine is live at saint ignatius with more. >> reporter: good morning. i honestly cannot believe that this many people are awake right now after watching the game last night, and these guys watched the game but they are here for a good reason. she is here and i have eric and amy a. i am sorry -- i was going to call you and out. so -- this event and why it is special. >> our son was diagnosed with pediatric cancer in 2010 so he is our inspiration for starting this foundation. we are here today, teaming up with the saint ignatius high school and we are running with the program. this is a group of students from saint ignatius that pair up with local special-needs kids and they train and practice for running the 5k and the one-mile. they work on social skills and

decide to make james comey, the fbi director, the sole focus of their frustration, their outrage, highlighting the fact -- the steps that he took was unprecedented, something that had not happened at hillary clinton went so far as to call it strange. clearly the donald trump campaign, republicans, certainly acting as it -- as if this is the lifeline they have been looking for an it could have that effect. we have seen this before. for me, my most recent memory is october 1996, the democrat bill clinton look lhe the election but the democrats thought that they would win the house and maybe the senate and a fund-raising scandal development happened in late october and bill clinton won but democrats paid the price and perhaps that is what we see in the next nine days. >> interesting. you also have the the donald trump running mate mike pence on this morning. how are they going to make the final push to voters? >> if they are grabbing onto the fbi news in a big way. there is a reason for it. the remaining undecided vote is

front that is moving through. one of the ways that we know that a cold front is moving through is because there is a huge wind shift. winds from the northeast, downtown, east, ashtabula as opposed to being from the southwest towards wooster and akron and canton max of a cold front is literally sitting right over here. it is sliding and slicing through summit county. that is one of the reasons we are expecting to see a flareup of showers by mid and late morning. in the end of the afternoon. behind the cold front is where the heavier showers and a couple of embedded thunderstorms are. this cold front is going to continue to slide towards the south and as it does so, it will bring in more of the rainfall. that is why i want you to prepare for and expect the rain on your sunday. i think that most of this begins to clear the area during the late evening and overnight hours so that's time it out. again, through this morning, a couple of bubble of showers before the brunt of the wet weather gets her by late morning into the early afternoon. this is what it looks like around lunchtime. we are getting soaked in ashtabula, and it didn't -- in cleveland and downtown, looking for moderate rainfall by that point. after 5:00, 6:00 p.m.
