democratic party and those hillary clinton supporters. many really stunned by what happened here last night what they saw through the doors they gathered here at the democratic party headquarters in cuyahoga county. let's show you what the faces look like. i mean they were very upset. head in their hands just really unsure about what was happening right before their eyes. and we got reaction supporters just before donald trump gave his acceptance speech. >> i am completely terrified about what is happening to america. i am not shocked unfortunately though i mean, we have had a race in which candidates have been speaking to the people who have been left behind in america. >> i think they are in for a

people stuck on reality television instead of what really they are going to get. >> reporter: and so till hlry clinton supporters -- hillary clinton supporters are concerned about the policies in place from president obama one of the things we heard about from them last night was concerns over health care lynna. >> and we look forward to later this morning hillary clinton is expected to make a statement sometime this morning and exactly when we but stick with the today show following our show for continuing coverage. let's check your drive danielle wet roads any problems out there? actually no lynna there are not problems as we scan the traffic map because to the south even though we have the wet roads we are green meaning normal drive times and no accidents reality same picture to the north as i said we do
6:38 am
doing a great job keeping track of that and keeping us informed here's picture on 271 at cedar road whereveryone is getting by just fine on both the local and express lanes so so far, no problems. back to you. into thank you. we are watching the markets and as we have been talking about this morning, the futures dropped 800 points as donald trump picked up states in the evening. rebounded last night when hillary clinton conceded. it rebounded a our financial expert is here and so as we look at the numbers and the futures right now are well they are back to 400 points down. what are investors what are the markets sending as a message right now? >> well you know the markets hate uncertainty and go back 9 days when comeie came out about new allegations for hillary, then the markets started to slide down. and then when he announced on monday there were no new charges they went back up 371 points a couple days ago.
6:39 am
hillary hadn't conceded they thought there may be a fight in this for a week counting votes and that was more uncertainty that drove the market out its mind and when she conceded, then it came back down. >> right. >> and now the market is settling itself out and think we are in for a volatile day. >> as we look at this i remember the brexit vote sent a panic through europe and the markets around the world responded and we had you on and you said by friday, we are going to be back to normal and at that will be kind of p push the side. is this a one day reaction will it be a two-day reaction or a long-term forecast for the economy? >> i think it's long-term volatility. i can't tell you what direction it's going to be. the only thing certain about trump is he is uncertain. and so that uncertainty is going to drive how this market goes. today there's traders and investors 401k plans we are investors traders will say it was down 800 last night only
6:40 am
sell stocks this morning which may force the market down to that 800 or,000 points but don't think it will close at -- or 1,000 points but i don't think it will close at that. i don't think it will be positive but i think as the market takes us all it's going to come back to earnings. every 90 days they get earnings and how corporations are doing and if they are doing well and trump is not saying crazy things about trade and stuff that may affect the economy that we are going to have better markets than worse but it's going to be very volatile. >> and kevin you know the people with the 401ks will see a lot of red numbers in the media today and the big drops and they are going to be thinking oh no what does this mean because they are going to be inundated with the information today is drop, drop, drop. what do they need to do at home what's the thinking for the normal day investors. >> the doom say theers will be out scaring the bejesus out of everybody and so you do nothing today. he mean you there's no winning by doing anything today at this
6:41 am
and sit back and relook at your investments and reallocate if necessary but for most people good allocated portfolio you should be able to ride through this. >> you told new you have a plan because you expect the phone calls today so. >> we are and so we will reach out to clients and let them know what we are thinking. >> all right kevin thanks very much. and as we see the numbers fly that helps us a little bit. lynna over to you. >> all right thanks guys. time is 6:41. oh canada what haed country's immigration website as news of the trump victory spread. hollie. >> thanks good morning to you. it's wednesday and we are tracking some rain. it's breezy and it's cooler and you need your jacket. get ready for a whole different feel today because we were 65 the high yesterday. and think of it this way yesterday's low is 46 and we are close to that now in most spots. scattered showers continue this morning. we will track them see what's ahead as we look ahead to the

6:45 and the special edition headline trump triumphant i was pretty popular headline washington post had the same headline. they had to work fast printing an extra 100,000 copies of the special edition. it's probably why trump's hair is purple >> as opposed to. >> yeah purple shade. >> but they had to work fast the election called at 2:31 this morning. and reaction to the historic election has been rolling in online. >> yes let's check in with maureen again who is keeping her eyes on moments and reaction that's trending this morning. >> reporter: and after a very late night donald trump tweeted about 8 minutes ago he wrote such a beautiful and important evening the forgotten man and woman will never be forgotten and we will all come together

6:47 am
junior saying our next president and trump gop you did it and actually glen beck trending on twitter he is outspokee conservative and is trend -- outspoken conservative and is trending because he summed it up saying we don't listen to each other and don't trust each other that was the problem he says throughout the campaign. so, hopefully that will change as we move forward as a country. john and lynna back to you. >> all right i am checking lebron james twitter feed and nothing out >> he supported hillary clinton and was. >> and was with her at the campaign event and that's reaction we will get today as well. let's turn to weather. hollie stubborn showers and breezy. >> breezy and it's going to be a cooler day right. so grab the jackets and you will probably need umbrellas in spots at the bus stop. temperatures in the 40s kids we are not moving much. so where it is is where it will remain throughout much of today. we are planning on mid to upper 40s. and the sunshine back tomorrow.
