sunday. i am michael estimate and if you are thinking, it is sunday and i've got the day off, getting out and about and enjoying everything about the sunshine. what we are expecting is low tree, grass, and mold allergy count so you should be able to breathe easy and speaking about easy, all of that sunshine is looking great throughout the morning and into the afternoon, warming the temperatures into the mid and upper 50s but that is after a chilly start this morning. we are in the 20s and manso, towards akron, kenta maeda, good morning at 29, 26 in parts of the county and closer to lake erie, temperatures, 39, downtown, with a stiff wind that will be with us throughout the afternoon and evening from the southwest, generally between 5 to 15, but at least we are nice and dry, compliments of the sunshine and that area of high pressure that we are tracking for you. so here is what sunday looks
6:49 am
now through lunchtime, we hold onto that sunshine. again, it is that sunshine which will propel the temperatures into the mid and upper 50s, a beautiful night ahead of us if you have sunday evening plans. first thing tomorrow, to start off the work week, what you will start to notice is a veil of cloud cover, not going to be super think that there will be the higher thin -- what we call cirrus clouds, made up of ice crystals tomorrow afternoon. you will see that outside in the meantime, we are nice and sunny today, temperatures in the mid and upper 50s, perhaps the low 60 degrees reading in there as well. overnight, lows are run freezing and closer towards the lake, where it is warmer, expecting temperatures in the upper 30s. window nation, seven days, show you the chance for rain on wednesday but by next weekend, the temperatures are back in the 60s. and joy it.
6:53 am
getting more and more bodies in the street. do you think that this is going to increase? will may taper off? what you think about donald trump conflicting tweets about the activity? >> my guess is that over the next week it will taper off a bit. but i think that it will go up and down until the inauguration. i expect a bit of a spike in the protests. protested being planned around the inauguration, so i expected then. it is about how donald trump -- president-elect donald trump handelsman protesters and if he does what he did last night and that is how he handles the protesters -- he somehow blame the media and others for stoking this. that is how these protest would grow and become more of a problem for him.
6:54 am
when he praised the protesters for their love of the country, then i think that they will taper off faster. it is on him, how he handles the criticism, how he handles the protests, and that will tell us how long the protest takes place. >> i think a lot of voters are sort of conflict it. not really knowing what to expect, truly, from donald trump, looking at his conflicting class by himself statements on many, many issues and now we inside the box. how soon before we know who the real donald trump is? >> i think it is his first crisis. right? the first time -- i mean, you know, for instance henry kissinger did an interview today and he speculated that he thought that some of america's enemies would tested taught -- test donald trump early. whatever that means.
6:55 am
of a nuclear weapon in north korea. maybe it is something that isis related -- maybe it is something that vladimir putin does. the point is, or it is a natural disaster to deal with i think that we will get a handle on the real donald trump, whoever that is as president and how he handles his first crisis. >> a lot of people would say that, again, because of all of these contradictions, it is so hard to get a handle on him. why do you think that he has so ny i mean, is he making it up as he goes along? he does not understand the problems and sees them from different angles? his attitude is flexible? what do you think that the reasoning behind his self contradictions are? >> he does not have an ideological core. i think that was a strange for him. you know? most populous are not very
6:56 am
ultimately, when you are not, you are more flexible. you know? this is -- on one hand he does not want a lot of regulations but on the other hand, very traditional republican position, on the other hand he is an advocate of a pretty large safety net when it comes to healthcare and he is 70 that does not believe in any sort of reform or entitlement reform on social security so i do not think that he is an ideological guide. i think he's through the prism of his situation, and as a business guy, he does not like a lot of regulations so he is empathetic to farmers, for instance, who do not like too many epa regulations. at the same time, i think that from where he grew up in new york, coming from queens, i think that he is a believer in a big safety net. i do not think that there is an ideological core to him that makes him -- you know that he is a liberal, you know that he
6:57 am
politics shows that he really is more of a transactional guy. i think that business guys are transactional and ultimately that is the best way to understand how president donald trump is going to operate. >> one final question. do think that the cabinet is going to be as old white male as some of the initial suggestions are that it will be? >> i think that right now the initial names seeing floated are that because that was the circle -- that was the first circle of supporters of the ones that stuck with him. i will be curious to see how diversity goes. -- diverse he goes. i do not think it will be as old and white as some people think. >> chuck todd. very much a preachers -- appreciative of your time. a pleasure as always. >> thank you. closed captioning of channel 3 news is sponsored by

the decisive fight against the islamic state in our bracket that donald trump stands to inherit. donald trump said that he wanted to wipe isis off of the map, a signature part of his foreign-policy during his election campaign. it is not exactly clear what he means. at least in iraq, isis is on the run and they have been for the past month, ever since the announcement of this offensive against mosul, the second- largest city. islamic state has been digging in and they will use any tools at their disposal in order to defend themselves, including the use of war crimes and that means human shields and chemical weapons. >> i think that we need to take the risk of the use of more chemical weapons by the islamic state as a very real and very serious risk >> reporter: the united nations came out yesterday and said that four people died when isis set fire to a sulfur plant and thousands more were badly injured.

during the commercial break we were talking holiday music because michael walks up to the desk playing music on his telephone. and i was saying that i one of those that love's christmas. my favorite. christmas is my favorite. the friday after think it's -- after thanksgiving. >> friday after thanksgiving. >> until then, it feels like we just had halloween. >> yeah. i know what you mean. i am a fan of christmas music all year round. i could do it all year round. it feels like christmas morning. i'm fine with the temperatures being so chilly.
7:22 am
with the christmas sweater because of how chilly it is outside here's what it looks like out on lake erie, waves at 1 foot to 3 feet and the compliments of the southeasterly winds between 10 to 15 miles per hour. cooler start, temperatures only in the 20s and 30s and by 10:00, we must earn mid-40s and by lunchtime, we are in the 50s with highs today nearing that 60 degree reading. a chilly start this morning, frost of your backyards and on the windshield if you're going to the cars and eventually, perhaps into the services. 28 in akron-canton, upper 30s closer towards the lake, winds from the southwest between 5 to 15 miles per hour, so it will be breezy outside as well. dry, compliments of high pressure, another thing -- with a high pressure -- it means lots of sunshine. so sunday is looking glorious. and that high pressure center, although it will skew towards the east tomorrow, i think that

ramifications of that, meaning a whole lot of sunshine in store for tomorrow. it will be veiled sunshine. now through lunchtime, a great start to sunday, sunday afternoon, again, temperatures in the mid and upper 50s for highs, tonight looking good if you're going out and about, maybe firing up the grill and doing barbecuing. first thing tomorrow morning, a decent start, but cool once again, tomorrow morning. so grab a hold of the coast, herself warm. tomorrow afternoon, again, a light veil of sunshine the temperatures are still in the 50s. the forecast for today, looking and feeling great. despite it being a cooler start this morning, as expected for mid-november, mid and upper 50s for highs, overnight lows in the 30s, and the window nation, seven-day forecast, the temperatures tomorrow basically right where they are today, in

will see the chance for rain and i know that a couple of folks want that rainfall. a slight chance on wednesday, and i think thursday, friday, looking good with temperatures warming into the 60s by the time thursday rolls around. friday, we are looking -- within 3 degrees of 70, and as of this point it looks like the next best shot for rain drops after wednesday would be late next weekend, but that is still a good week away and in the meantime, just let us walk on sunshine today. that will be the hallmark of sunday. today, looking good. christmas sweaters needed this morning. i am still going for it. >> christmas sweaters. i am not there yet. we need a turkey sweater or something first. >> [ laughter ] >> i got you. >> let's get thanksgiving god. >> i will put away my christmas music. >> just for now.

welcome to square talk. this week i'm talking to jade davis with the port of cleveland and also a member of the community council. i'm not sure that everybody understands what the board does. >> the board of cleveland is a global port on blue lake at essentially what we do is outside of maritime activities, what people see through the ships that come in, the harbor, and up and down on the river, we are very intimately involved with river cleanup, harbor maintenance, and an environmental infrastructure and economic development within northeast ohio so you may see the port of cleveland signs that your local construction site, at your -- the boats cleaning up debris around the rock 'n roll hall of fame, up the river channel. you may also see us helping to bring ships in and unloading big large containers on and off of the ships. >> reporter: tell me about the economic impact. >> from the most recent

normal that we are going to see for quite some time. i think it is going to be a very -- we could be prepared for a very, very long and contentious year around the country and here in washington. >> we started to get a look at this week at two president- elect -- at who he has picking to be his closest aides -- what you think of the people that he has on his list? >> the direction he wants to take things in the first six months of his administration. we are going to learn who the chief of staff is i think today and if he does go in the traditional direction and goes with ryan's previous a -- that would signal that he is interested in getting a lot of early legislation passed and signed. lines previous is personally very close with the speaker paul ryan. but if he goes into the direction of stephen bannon who in many ways, who was the campaign chain -- chair, and the head of the news -- a -- certainly no fan of paul ryan. if that is the direction he goes, it signals a much more contentious relationship

party. which direction he picks on steve of -- chief of staff will tell us a lot about the first 100 days. >> what you think about the first 100 days? do think that he will focus on anything specific? will he tried to pass a lot of legislation? >> i think that is the easy thing to do. you have got mitch mcconnell, paul ryan, and donald trump have a few things that they agree on one is pulling back a bunch of regulations. that were put in during the obama years. that is a number one. some of that can be done on executive order but some of it needs to be with legislation. they agree, in general, on a direction when it comes to the tax code i think that you can see corporate tax reform and possibly part of donald trump big tax-cut get enacted in the first 100 days. then there is healthcare.
7:33 am
in the first 100 days. i think it will become the project of the summer. i think that is going to be harder for them to figure out and i think that you are seeing that in the comments that president-elect donald trump has made to 60 minutes. >> we enjoy hearing your perspective. thank you. >> you got it. >> we will -- he will be back from meet the press at 10:00 a.m. after channel 3 news. we get a check of the senate forecast if you are going out the door -- you definitely should grab the jackets. i think that is an understatement. >> perhaps even underneath those it is a chilly start, with temperatures starting sunday morning in the 20s and 30s. how about 25 degrees in parts of tots grimes county? if you are waking up with us in akron-canton, 28, warmer close to the lake in downtown, 39, 31 four our friends in ashtabula, winds out there so this is taking a bite out of the actual temperature so the wind chills are down a few degrees, why
7:34 am
that is the way that we stay on sunday. after the chilly sunshine, we will warm up to 52 by lunchtime, temperatures this afternoon, breezy 57 degrees, a lot of sunshine and you were saying before that yesterday it was one of those days that you were not really expecting it to be a great outdoor day because it was kind of cool. but really kind of cold to start. but it is going to warm up this afternoon like yesterday. it will be a great afternoon to get out and about. >> for a lot of people, picking up the leaves that doing yard work fortunately. thank you so much. it jasmine is having fun and staying fit at the same time. she is live at sky zone a place were exercising can be fun and you are staying warm no matter what this morning. >> reporter: that is right. i did not like seeing the frost on the car this morning so coming to sky zone, in here, these kids are having fun so we moved on from the younger adults to some kids and we want to see how this class goes because they seem like they listen well.
7:35 am
>> the best part about skype fit is that it is really fun. they walk up and they say it was a really great workout and i think that they are usually surprised but it is. >> what are three things that people take away after the workout? if you can think about it? three takeaways. >> like i said, it is probably the most fun workout that they ever get and another take away
7:36 am
and you are pretty exhausted the other take away would be that we have weights and other equipment that we use which you would not expect to use on a trampoline. we do not jump with the weights because we do not want anybody to get knocked out but we do weight training as well. >> reporter: we have a fun segment coming up at 9:00, the glow party that we are about to happen her shirt is going to glow and hopefully this smile will be glowing. >> [ laughter ] >> as always. your smile is always glowing. thank you so much. we will check back in with you. we show you how to protect -- thieves from stealing your identity and credit card information. what is next for the buckeyes after the team up north finally loses a game? that and much more coming up

football. this is going to be interesting as we go down to the playoffs. clemson loses in the afternoon, washington loses at night, and then iowa, upsetting michigan, so three of the top four teams lose and this really makes things interesting because penn state is really back alive in the big ten chase with the michigan losing last night and you wonder what is going to happen as we go down this stretch. ohio state -- all they could do is keep winning games and see how it pans out in the end. michigan, no longer undefeated. that makes things interesting for that final game of the regular season. let's go back to yesterday afternoon. ohio state, taking on maryland on the road, and it was no contest, first time for ohio state -- curtis samuel in from

plenty of times. 7-0 at -- plenty more to come -- j.t. barrett in to make it 14-0, and this game was over the first quarter. he goes into the air, and 36 yard touchdown, connection, 21- 3, ohio state, and he ran for 2, came for -- and from north ridge a, 101 total yards and a touchdown, buckeyes winning 62- 3. the same score as last week when they beat nebraska. this one is not a surprise. ohio state is rolling right now. >> two weeks guys are playing hard and a nice rotation in the digits -- defensive line and the one thing -- we are going to find out that our offense of line is playing much better. in the last two weeks and we know exactly what is coming down the roadway. >> reporter: in two weeks it is against the team up north but that has a little bit of a change now that they lost. they have to get through michigan state who has been a problem for ohio state. the spartans team is not really

when i was doing my christmas shopping, i got up to the register and my card was denied and it was horrible. last year i bought the scanner guard and no problems whatsoever. i told my friends about it. but not everyone listen to me and they got -- they had a fraud. i love it. i bought enough for all of my hand bags, all my wallace. whenever i have a credit card -- it works like a charm. >> the scanner guard is not -- obviously not paying me but this is what i call ed no- brainer. why would you not at that level i will be holiday shopping at the grocery store every day. it is scaring me that i do not have the best. >> i'm happy that you said grocery store because a lot of people only associate this with the holiday shopping but you could be going for dinner at a restaurant and somebody could walk behind every table and steal your number without your knowledge. >> i am afraid to leave the house. >> go to wkyc.com. it is safe that you can go shopping and buy yourself a better shirt and what you need and stay happy. >> whatever you put on my
