3 one of four people charged in connection with the abduction of two young children in asheville is expected to be in court this morning. trena weaver is charged with misdemeanor child abuse. she is the only local person charged in the case. three others... natasha cantrell, chadwick agan and christopher carter ... remain in jail in georgia, where they were arrested yesterday. they are young boys in asheville... ages 1 and 3... early yesterday morning. someone dropped the children off at the swannanoa substation for the buncombe county sheriff's office. asheville police say none of the suspects are related to the kids... and that only agan has a tie to the children... because he is the ex-boyfriend of the childrens' mother 3 10:41-54i just thankful that we were able to coordinate with the amber alert system and georgia highway patrol and jackson county sheriff's department and locate everyone very quickly and come to a safe ending. the kids are in d-s-s custody. the three

suspects in georgia could be extradited to western north carolina as early as today. 3 3 police in the upstate are investigating the death of a man who was found near a fast food restaurant. 36-year-old brent tresneer was found yesterday morning behind the hardees in cowpens. he was taken to spartanburg regional medical center where he later died. the death is being treated as suspicious. no other details have been released. 3 3 there is still no word this morning what caused a fire at a home in waynesville on christmas day. the house caught fire while the brinson family was out to dinner in asheville. first responders put it out... but also took their help a step further. they pitched in money to help the family. then, an officer escorted them to a walmart that opened its doors just for the family so they could get items for the night. 3 chief joey webb, sr. waynesville fire department 29:12-23do what we can for the community and show compassion. it doesn't matter if they're the richest person in town or a homeless person, it's all about taking care of people. brent brinson, one of the fire victims, says he plans to use some of the money collected to host a barbecue for the first responders who helped.
