the best day to go golfing. this flood watch will kick in, we'll go through -- in the low to middle 60's. coming upup, when we return to winter like temperatures coming up. >> we are continuing to follow a child abduction case. two young boys reported missing were found safe. suspects are facing charges. lauren is live outside the courthouse where one of those suspects is set to appear before a judge. you reached out to district you? >> of course, because this case is still under investigation, they are unable to comment. tty tell me the mother of these two boys is facing no charges at this time. we are waiting for one of the suspects to make her first court appearance in connection to this case.

trina was arrested yesterday in connection to the case and charged with misdemeanor child abuse. according to arrest warrant we obtained,d, she was paid $20 by one of the other suspects to drive the two boys, ages 1 and 3 to an unknown location. according to georgia state they were pulled over and taken into custody there. authorities say none of the suspects are related to kids. we also learn from authorities that carter claims to be a friend of the family. an amber alert was issued and shortly after someone dropped the children off unharmed. as of now, it is unclear who dropped the boys off. they are now in dss custodycustody. kimberly is continuing to follow

a christmas murder mystery. the body of a 35-year-old man and 26-year-old girlfriend were discovered shot to death in their s.u.v. it was parked on a remote d dark road. when officers arrived, they discovered the s.u.v. less than a mile from the home. the families are desperate for answers and closure. >> for anyone who saw anything, contact police. >> investigators are hoping to talk to anyone who had contact with the victim christmas eve. >> to chicago where the police are under fire. two people were killed in a deadly police shooting. one of the victims an alan greenspaned mother. police are saying her death was an accident. >> this morning, the families of betty jones and college student antonio demanding answers from the chicago police department. >> why did you have to shoot

upstate new york. she wasn't hurt but police say she did injure a man fire departments the stste. police say it appears she was trying to park t the s.u.v. but they don't know what caused her to smash through the store front. the man was taken to the hospital. he is expected to be ok. >> australian authorities are working to clean up a train derailment. that train was carrying about 53,000 pounds of sulfuric acid when 26 cars came off the tracks in a remote area. officials say there is only minor leakage. three men suffered minor injuries ch it is not clear what caused the derailment. >> parts of the u.s. are under a state of emergency because of deadly storms. 80 million americans are in the path of a massive winter storm. a series of deadly tornadoes tore across texas this weekend. >> overnight, twister ripping through arkansas. >> we have to go. >> this after a string of

all in all, very warm and damp. the upstate has seen more than a third of an inch many some zones. right now, it is very warm in andrews, 69 degrees. yes, 70's further south. look at this, 73 in greenwood, back in asheville, very comfortable at 64. winds picked up since 13 at asheville. 10 in anderson and 15 in greenwood. you could expect gusty wind. the wind advisory is about to start up. this goes through tomorrow morning, mainly above 3500 feet, winds gusting up to 40, 50 miles an hour. as you saw, even in lower elevations, it will be breezy today. visibility still reduced on the french broad river valley. the foothills worst. down into greenville, 1.3 is the visibility. this is a system impacting much of the country, we just showed you that entire story. the cold sector, we arare seeing all this snow, the upper midwest and back behind us, we are

seeing the rain. it is heavy rain. now back in asheville. it is the light rain as this cold front moves through. it will increase to heavier rain bands. through dinner time, still seeing some of this rain across western north carolina. then we start to see the heavier rain bands until tomorrow morning, then we'll get a break from the rain, maybe see sunshine throughout late day. the heavier rain once again on wednesday. how much rain are we talking about? in asheville it could be around half an inch. then in the southern mountains, we'll continue to see our chances really go up for rain especially into wednesday, where we could see several inches of rain wednesday into thursday. 60's for highs today, cooling down to 50 tonight.
