mountains and upstate. 3 3 3 3 3 new this morning... part of patton avenue is closed in asheville due to a rock slide. asheville police tell us the eastbound lanes are closed from regent park boulevard to i-240. the department of transportation expects the road to reopen by five o'clock this morning. 3 3 3 we have continuing coverageof the damage from yesterday's flooding in asheville.. once the waters receded, mud was left at businesses along old charlotte highway in east asheville. asheville paint and powder-coat was one of the hardest hit. in some spots, flood water lines are six feet
