buyers... and extra paperwork. both could come atn extra cost to taxpayers. 3 3 3 we have an update this morning on a swain county man whose body was found in a lake. police say doug ballew drowned. autopsy results show no signs of foul play. ballew had been missing since mid- november. his body was discovered last week in 'fontana lake' at a popular fishing spot. 3 3 3 a driver is facing charges after leading officers on a high-speed chase through three counties in north carolina. it was all caught on a patrol car's dash cam. it started in valdese and went on for 20 miles until it ended in lincoln county. speeds reached more than 100 miles an hour. deputies say the chase started as an investigation into a crack cocaine operation. it all ended when deputies deployed stopsticks. the driver is now charged with felony fleeing to elude. 3 3 hickory's public housing authority is facing allegations of sexual misconduct and more. officials are accused of sexually harassing tenants and mispending taxpayer money. the

motion to change the administration of the agency. that will not abolish housing or d dplace tenants. council members will hold another hearing later this month... to decide exactly how to change that administration. 3 3 a high school senior in chapel hill was killed during a plane crash in wyoming. mackenzie ruston would have been 18 years old yesterday. on monday, she and the pilot of a small plane were killed north of the alpine wyoming airport. friends say she loved to fly and was working on her pilot's license. officials say she was not at theontrols when the plane went down. so far, it is not clear what caused the crash. 3 3 an elderly couple takes matters into their own hands, landing a suspected burglar behind bars. the couple says they found a man dressed in camouflage .. rummaging through their stuff at their home near fayetteville. so the man called 9-1-1.. and 'got' his 'gun'. 3 < rick suehr/victim :"i felt really violated that somebody would take the initiative, would have the audacity to

friend of one of the san bernardino attackers will appear in court this morning. enrique marquez was a friend of sayed farook. he is accused of conspiring with farook to provide material support to terrorists. authorities believe marquez purchased rifles for farook and his wife to use during the deadly attack in san bernardino on december second. 3 3 lawyers for william porter, a baltimore police officer accused in the death of freddie gray, have asked the officer not be compelled to testify in another officer's trial. officer caesar goodson junior and sergeant alica white both face charges in the death of freddie gray. jury selection in goodson's trial begins next monday. white's trial is scheduled to begin january 25th. 3 3 tomorrow marks one year since terrorists stormed the offfice of satirical magazine, charlie hebdo... killing 12 people, including some of france's most famous cartoonists. five more lives were lost in subsequent attacks in france in the following days. charlie hebdo is publishing a special
