crossing apartments on la mancha drive right across from the va hospital. from a very young age, 19-year-old alyssa knew she wanted to be a nurse. now she's living her dream as a home healthcare worker for 13-year-old zachary. but recently alyssa's living situation became a nightmare. the apartment she and her fiancee share flooded. even after the carpet was replaced, problems remained. >> this has happened to these apartments several times and we'll come and fix the water damage. it's been almost three weeks and they haven't come and fixed any of the water damages. >> karen: alyssa says she bought a mold test kid from lowes.

you can see the buckle and jet stream associated with that. it's moving east. for now, it's very quiet and much of the country is not experiencing any active weather overall. this is a ridge. that's going to bring warmer weather our way. 61 in oklahoma city right now. that warmer air is going to get nudged in tomorrow. no chance of rain or snow tomorrow. mostly wet on friday. periods of rain throughout the day. 40% chances of lingering moisture on saturday. it is sunday that i'm sure you've heard on social media, maybe seen people talking about a snowstorm possibly off the coast of carolinas and bringing snow in to the western north carolina region. put a chance of moisture being snow. the idea is that it's not a major deal at all at this point. sunshine. northwest wind at 13. puts our wind chill down to 44.

you'll notice that wind throughout the rest of the evening, too. that has helped you warm up today in to the 50s. and it helps everybody warm up tomorrow in to the 50s and even 60s. high pressure gets out of the way and here it comes. the return flow. easily get in to the 50s arere wide. here's that system. this one is going to bring rain. friday is mostly wet here. that moves off the coast and develops in to a stronger storm. we get a little bit of cold shot coming in here saturday and sunday. because of some moisture that could get pushed up, we could watch it closely athe this it's just something to watch the next couple of days. stay tuned. it may change.

headed for 50s in the afternoon with that dry air. the air does get moist, though. clouds thicken by the afternoon. here come the showers by 3:00 and they spread all the way to the blue ridge and upstate. teens and 20s for lows tonight. mostly 20s from asheville south ward. 20s in the upstate. look at that rebound tomorrow. nice stuff here. mid 50s in the french broad river valley. upper 50s. even some 60s in the upstate. enjoy it because you know what, it goes colder. in fact, a lot colder next week. temperatures will drop. we stay in the 40s saturday. notice our temperature on sunday. cold enough that we could get some wintry mix in. warm enough to melt whatever does fall. mountain showers mostly on monday. highs go down to 30s those days, too. it's going to be cold.
