>> john: remember just last week some of those uber drivers charged with trespassing. now a taxi driver claims he was assaulted by one of those drivers in the fight for fares. not far from the airport taxiway, there's tension. the uber app, andrew hopkins says the competition is increasingly fierce. >> it's almost a game of cat and mouse mouse. >> john: he works for a company called night and day. >> a lot of times i like that they sit right in here. >> john: andrew says a big part of his job is shooting pics of those unpermited drivers. but the conflict of uber came to a head when he tried to confront one of them. >> i went to take pictures, a video of him and his car to

and he assaulted me. he came up and grabbed my hand and phone. got in my face and threatened me. >> john: andrew shot video of the man approaching him but doesn't get the moment of the time he assaulted him. by the time a public safety officer responded to the altercation, both men had left and no witnesses came forward. officials say any ground transportation provider, including uber can drop off passengers with a permit. but a permit is required to pick up passengers. he saw that same uber driver at the airport on tuesday. >> picture and phone number and address was on my phone. and they can't catch him. come on, columbo. >> john: according to hopkins,

rain is high in asheville. slim chances of anything saturday or sunday. even slimmer chances on monday. if we see anything again fall from the sky in terms of precipitation, it would be a possibly rain/snow mix early saturday and again in to early sunday. 56 degrees. it is mostly clear. even with the wind, there's no wind chill. the air temperature is too warm to have an effect. nice today. look at that, a lot of moisture on the back side of it. this is friday evening. it's already moving east in to the piedmont and coastal plain. it's out to sea later on tonight. this one packs a little colder air. cooler than today, of course. temperatures in the mid 40s and upper 40s saturday. notice the system way down here in to saturday afternoon. the american model was thinking it was going to be a season snow

no more. the clouds tonight. there's 9:00 a.m. look at this. a little bit of snow showing up in the nantahalas. balsams. what does accumulate, likely an inch or less at this point. could have highest elevations get a little more than that. notice by the afternoon tomorrow, rain for almost everybody. we're drying out in the evening and staying cool in to the weekend. i think this model is underdone when it comes to rainfall. i think we're going to get a good dose. the heaviest over the i-85 corridor. and there's the snow potential right here. smokys, balsams, nantahalas, black mountains. 30s for lows tonight in the mountain valleys. look for highs tonight to get in to the mid 40s. upper 40s and low 50s in the upstate.
