asheville's south slope. >> darcel: the attorney general gets involved with problems affecting customers. tonight, what blue cross blue shield is asked to do. now from western north carolina's news leader, this is news 13 at 11. >> tammy: crews responded to what was called a mudslide. >> darcel: heavy rain sent water and mud in to the road. dot crews cleared out drains. >> tammy: at least the rain is out tonight. but there's more behind it. >> darcel: next week, the temperature will drop. chief meteorologist jason boyer is here with our weekend forecast. >> jason: now tonight we have to worry about some fog. even a little snow coming down in the highest elevations of the smokys.

low clouds and poor visibility because the fog has developed. we're down below a half mile visibility in asheville. five mile visibility in burnsville. the lower the visibility, obviously the harder it is to see when that fog starts to thicken up. temperatures in the 30s right now. we're close to freezing. i think we'll stay just above it tonight. but it's going to be close. watch out for some patchy black ice. again, look how warm some places are out west. this is where you're going to find the cooler weather at night. warmer higher up in elevation. temperature inversion going on. we have a little more wind kicking up keeping a lot of those places warmer than us here in asheville. in fact, it's a gusty wind over the southwest portion in the viewing area of south carolina. here's that system spinning through today clipping out in to the mid-atlantic. here's that next system. this is energy that's going to

austin white is facing murder charges of zoey peterson. the indictment said white distributed the drugs. white has not been arrested. if you see him, call police. >> darcel: asheville's south slope grew a little bit more today with the announcement of a local place where artists work. news 13's jerrika insco joins us live along cox avenue. jerrika, what are people saying about this development? >> jerrika: darcel, they are excited knowing there are several breweries over here so adding art just seems like the perfect mix. knowing what this area looked like just a few years ago. >> oh gosh. i mean, industrial. car dealer. yeah. >> jerrika: the south slope. >> there was nothing to attract people to the area. now there's, you know, a whole

finished the job. >> it's upsetting because you don't think people really want to hurt other people. and he knew our situation. he kneww we didn't have a lot. he knew that we were living pay check to pay check. >> tammy: today t t attorney for marshall spears entered a statement. police arrested two teenagers today after a chase on a moped. after a school resource officer tried to pull over the moped. asheville and fletcher police then joined in. the teens were arrested about an hour later at the corner of old airport road in fletcher. no word on why they were being chased. reports of over billing and wait times that are just too long. what the attorney general is now telling one major health insurance provider. >> darcel: and a restaurant that's been having a lot of

put their phone number in to get a call back. >> ashlea: pisgah legal has been offering free appointments. >> they come in and talk to us. we help give them assistance. help give them the right information to help clear up any errors that they've experienced. >> tammy: in response to the attorney general's letter, blue cross said today that customers should expect to receive id cards by next week. the company said most of the over billing issues have been identified and fixed. they have extended their hours this weekend to be open on saturday. >> darcel: a burrito chain will take a time out in the midst of the crisis that has sickened people all over the country. lately chipotle has had issues with e. coli to norovirus.

it could make the industry safer in the long run. >> we're constantly educating and training our people. make sure they're aware from the time we interview them, this is what we expect. whether it's handling food. whether it's temperatures of food that you have to stay within. >> darcel: since the illness outbreak, chipotle's stock has drop. >> tammy: remari opened today which is the name of the hindu goddess of bees. the coowner says they'll have creative food and beer at this new venue. >> we've got a great location. asheville is becoming more and more like the napa valley for beer. so you know, we've cultivated environment that people travel from all over the country, sometimes the world to drink our beer. >> tammy: the soft opening for the brewery was yesterday. they opened this evening for dinner.

frustrating forecast for me. personally i've been looking at all kinds of model data and pouring over all of them. there's a little bit of difference between them, too. now we're dealing with a minor inconvenience. light accumulations. again, i do not expect much more than an inch. it could be some places highest elevation that get upo two inches of snow. not the time to buy bread or milk. grassy surfaces, roof tops first to accumulate it and then it melts off rather quickly. tomorrow is really nothing in the way of active weather. 60% chance. that's the highest it's been all week. we're going for some light accumulation in the city. 30% chance of snow showers monday. down to 10% on tuesday.

moisture will be running in the tennessee border. 50% chance of additional snow accumulating. that's pretty high. on in to monday. there you go. 32 degrees right now. there is fog. it is cold. some of the fog wilil freeze to surfaces. watch out. again, some patchy black ice forming. back in to sunshine before the clouds increase tomorrow evening and tomorrow night in to sunday morning just before dawn, there are some snow showers popping up along the blue ridge from the northern mountains, down in the nantahalas, the balsams, far south to transylvania, polk, rutherford county, mcdowell and burke county. that's 8 o'clock in the morning. then it's pretty much east of us at lunch time.

it's not a big window. but it's enough to give us that light accumulation. i'm thinking about an inch tops in asheville. a couple of inches possibly in those highest elevations north. even the piedmont, the foothills could see snow. only 40s for the mountains. 50s over the upstate. there's your seven day forecast. we're going to go 40 for sunday. even colder still monday and tuesday. those will be the coldest days of the season. with temperatures in the teens at night.

>> darcel: governor mccrory commemorated the 25th anniversary of the persian gulf war at a ceremony in downtown raleigh today. he read the names of the service members who lost their lives during the war. distribute a $100,000 memorial fund to the state's museum of history. a couple who hit the jackpot in tennessee came forward with their ticket today. john and lisa robinson say they don't plan on moving and they plan to continue working. >> tammy: what? >> darcel: they plan to pay off their daughter's student loans and pay some other bills. i think they could probably pay all their bills. unbeaten north henderson takes their game on the road
